I needed three beds and a kitchenette for two nights at.a prices I could afford, near enough to NYC for a Saturday event. Big asks but Mamaroneck Motel delivered big time. The motel is like stumbling into the 1960s and I mean that in the best way possible. Instantly charmed my the roundabout in the courtyard (parking lot) and office. Check-in was a breeze. Parking also. The only noticeable modern feature is the state-of-the-art surveillance system monitoring the outer area so any funny business around the cars or entrances is displayed in real time on a series of screens in the lobby. The room smells fresh, not like detergent or masked by harsh cleaning supplies, but like natural crisp clean air. I'm actually relieved and impressed by how pure the air in the room is, as well as the bed linens, etc. because the room is visibly quite old and very few updates seem to have occurred in the decades since its construction. No residue of past cooking hanging in the air, and nary a whiff of smoke. I breathed easy. The room is exactly as advertised. It offers all the basic features, including a cooktop range, kitchen sink, cabinets, microwave, mini fridge. Everything in proper working order. And a dining table that comfortably seats four. BRING YOUR OWN COOKING SUPPLIES as no dishes are provided. Beds are firm and comfortable. Very quiet at night despite it being a holiday weekend with no vacant rooms. The water pressure is phenomenal at all faucets. Shower was a glorious: hot and strong enough to exfoliate without scrubbing. Well situated to Trader Joe's, lots of takeout, Stop & Shop, coffee shops, Chopt, all within short walking distance. When we got back from our event on Saturday, our room had been refreshed, bed made, bathroom cleaned & restocked. Welcome surprise indeed. For the shower alone I'd seek this place out again if this area ever called me back. read more

Dirty. Disgusting. Disrespectful. Mold. Ugh it was awful. First, it seems like a residential hotel. Yucky crowd and depressed atmosphere. The first room stunk of weed and cigarettes and I had to check out two other rooms to see if anything was habitable. Second, it's dark, damp and creepy. Old gross furniture with dust so thick and mold and never cleaned. God it was worse than jail. I actually took the bath towel to cover the stained pillows and slept in my clothes after removing the gross bedspread. I specifically asked for no housekeeper to enter my room at all. They did! Luckily nothing was missing but it left me feeling completely violated. Thank god it was just two nights of my life but never again! Be warned. I have ptsd just writing this. read more

Room was reasonably clean. Furniture was cosmetically poor and mattress was soft and squeaky.

So, the reviews are apparently very outdated. There is new ownership here and now it runs at 98 percent capacity. As for short time rooms, there are 5 roms of 36 dedicated to that that do not have fridges or Microwave and those guests are always asked if they would like to store anything in the office fridge or heat anything in the office microwave. People will often choose these rooms for overnight to avoid paying a higher price for a regular room or kitchen. Renovations are constant here it seems. Carpets have been replaced with hardwood floors, 4 rooms completely remodeled, every bed completely replaced, every Tuesday extermination services, freshly paved and painted. All exterior repainted. Rooms redecorated and remodeled. Massive amount of parking. 20 miles from NYC in an affluent town where the PGA comes through surrounded by food even on the motel campus a deli and pizza place. Urgent care less than 1 minute away. A bar easy walk away. Moments from the Marina. Restaurants from Starbucks to the Diner to the Left and Right. New security system. I can't count how many lights. People who smoke are banned. I think the reviews here are outdated perhaps cause I am looking around and will post pics! 100 a night....lol, Metro North in walking distance as well. So it's a Motel but not as described. Very safe and quiet. Clean. No roaches or bedbugs sighted. For price point, staff awesomeness, ALL the little things they hand out from forks and knives to wine openers, the security factor here is ultra high, private, parking, proximity to medical care and food, proximity to police and fire, so close to NYC and excellent cooling and heating they get 5 stars. Rosebud Motel, this ain't. All 4 star reviews are from eons ago. I can only imagine this motel has seen better days. These are not they. Location for taking a break driving 95N is fine and price is cheapish. Our unit had wood laminate floors, two very old beds with squeaky springs, scratchy sheets (not simply not soft, scratchy!), and a tiny tiny bathroom with broken towel rack and tiles. Also the TV glowed at night. It broke up our drive. Left us a little skeeved out. read more

This Place is a Dump The room I stayed in was disgusting - Room 31. The head board had been screwed into the wall several times. The pictures on their website don't reflect the rooms unless they gave me the worst room they had. Additionally, FYI the motel rooms can be rented in blocks of 4 to 5 hours - Hello Love Shack - they call it Rest and Relaxation which personally is disgusting to me. When my daughter moved to Mamaroneck several years ago. I stayed there several time over the years. It was always clean and well kept. The prior owners and staff remembered me after the 2nd stay because of my Ga accent. Even there once while a movie was being filmed. The motel was sold since after my last visit. Christmas 2021 stayed there. I looked at 3 different rooms before choosing one. Regretfully I will never stay there again. The place looks like a second rate rent by the hour if you understand what I mean. read more

I went here a few nights ago and as soon as I went into the bathroom of my room I saw a ROACH right in plain site on the floor in the corner. As soon as I got out of the bathroom and went into the main room, I see ANOTHER ROACH on the wall closest to the bathroom. I was disgusted to say the least. I went to the lobby to ask for my money back as there was no way I was staying in a roach infested dump. This woman was extremely dismissive and rude. You will be knocked out as you drive into this Pristine 1950-built, Old School Road Side Americana Motel. Gorgeous. Flowers, colors, quaint rooms, & #! Top Shelf Service! You need ice? Take a rental car trunk full ((I did)). You need an iron? Boom, you want us to iron that for you, sir,? You want to know where the most colorful & breath-taking drives & photo-ops are along this coast? I ended up staying 3 nights, not 1. Pizza pastas at the front drive, among others. Many folks deliver to your door. * * Trader Joe's is 100 yards from my door! YES! Starbucks across the street & 17 local cafes & businesses are close . . . Easy 40 minute train ride or car drive in to NYC to see shows too. * I just got back from seeing live music in midtown NYC. Short train ride, got a few emails done, never had the time to read the Voice. Cool. ((one lousy note, the night teller, he is Very Poor Customer Service. 24 hr Front Desk -- he claimed they closed & no ice. Im arguing with him thru closed door. Couple comes up for a room. No rooms. Driving up 95N and tempted by previous reviews-especially $65 price. Phone was busy for an hour so took a chance and drove to it. Clerk could speak four English words : 93 dollars - that's it. Really? He wrote down an address and next to it the price - $59. That was it. We took the bait and left. Short story: the $59 motel was god awful. We should have driven about another hour north and stayed at the $99 Best Western. read more

Charming 50's era motel, that is a part of this decade in that it has been well cared for. Stayed here after visiting New York City and not wanting to sign over my first born child left arm and right leg for a room in the city. I found the room to be clean and comfortable with very helpful staff. The train from Grand Central was 30 minutes and the train stop was a 15 minute walk away. This is not satisfactory. I and my partner surely didn't enjoy enjoy ourselves here yet for the price, you get what you pay for.

Not what I expected when I see 4 stars. Being in mamaroneck I expected something much better then what I got. $95 for a night is expensive when the Marriott(which only got 2 stars smh) 5 miles away charges $130. Went over to see family in town for Christmas day and had the most dragged out unpleasant experience of my life attempting to stay at this motel for a night. Found bedbugs in our room and managed to kill one. Had another get away and only had the blood spot on our sheets left as evidence of bed bugs. Attempted to get reimbursed for our short-lived stay (6 hours) and was denied any reimbursement. There was also denial of any evidence left in the room and we were given a rude attitude over the phone when speaking to a man named rocky. Rocky, who is not even the manager or owner of the motel. Simply the messenger-boy as he has put it. I was denied any communication with the manager and denied any contact information, even after I asked several times to speak with the manager instead. Rocky, and apparently the manager as well, seem not to care that I am going to the extent of speaking with Westchester County department of health in order to report the incident. They were completely okay with me choosing to give my honest review of the service by management and the unsanitary conditions in their rooms. If you are an insect/parasite lover then enjoy your stay. Otherwise heed my warning and make plans to stay in another location while in the area. read more

I shoot weddings, Got to shoot a wedding up near Westchester NY. They mixed up the dates for the saturday I was to stay there. Called several times to fix the issue, was told to speak to the manager Debbie, who was not available. Called later during business hours and the phone just rings and rings, no voicemail, and hangs up! with no other vacancies I had no choice but to drive the 2 and a half hours home at 2 in the morning. I finally got a hold of he manager the following monday, asked why they do not have voicemail for their hotel front desk, She became angry that I would ask such a thing, called me an a**hole and hung up! Unless rude,cursing motel managers are your thing, I would suggest your avoid this dump like the plague! read more
