I'd have photos but the crowd would've all laughed at me. Greenwich, Connecticut. Iykyk. "Mhmm,"…read more"yup," "sup dude..." all not in the dictionary here. Some call it class, others call it manners. Some don't know the difference but there is one. And so I didn't break out my phone as to not embarrass myself and my loved one. And to fit in with a crowd I don't belong to. Ashamed of myself? Never. Orienta is highly rated and beloved by locals. This is somehow takeout for some of the Greenwichites although in other territories nobody would ever dare takeout from such a lovely and lively ambiant. Suit jacket upon suit jacket crowd by the inside of the door, shaking each other's hands and sharing faux cheek pecks. I saw way too many salads hit tables even though they were probably very good. Anything to stay snatched, holla at boy. Excuse me, your man... gentleman. Pilates. Reformers. Hot yoga. Musical chairs at Orienta with everyone that walks by because somehow we know everyone in this town and we're all wearing the same clothes and speak the same and happen to be at Orienta on the same night and somehow decide to join each other all for dinner. Amazing town to study. Just amazing. Anyways - Bao Buns are very good, dumplings solid. Pad Thai is like a savory pad see ew / pad Thai combo - very nice. Their star savory crepe is very fresh tasting and the chicken inside the crepe is very very nice. Pricing is fair. Service was quick, the servers were nice but cautiously and potentially judgingly so if that makes sense. Like if you waved your mitts across their face their eyes would roll behind their sockets and they'd start hitting thriller. And maybe a Soulja boy... YOUUUUUUU. You should give this place a try. It's good. I wouldn't call it 5 star great though. I'd like to try a few more things but nothing really stood out, nothing really disappointed. For the local tribes it's straight vibes. For us outta towners, one go was enough but I won't say no to a second-go.

My favorite item were the lobster shooters and shaking beef, but would also recommend the pad Thai, shrimp dumplings, and savory crepe. Everything was great. Even my lychee martini! It's a cute, small place off Greenwich Avenue and I could see it getting a little loud on crowded nights, but it was very calm when we were there. Will absolutely return!

Set in a pre-war stone building with two dining rooms, Chez Vous provides an intimate dining experience for Francophiles and those whose palettes have yet to be turned on to authentic French and French-inspired cuisine. From the chandelier in the front dining room to the spiderweb window-topped accordion glass doors that open into outdoor seating to the unique illustrations upon the tabletops, you'll feel as though you've stepped into a Paris bistro in the heart of Stamford. Mon Dieu! The warm goat cheese salad! I swore I wasn't going to eat it all, but somehow I emptied my plate. I added chicken and the meat was juicy and savory. The sour cherry vinaigrette was a lovely way to dress the toasted almond shavings and greens. The Montrachet melted in my mouth. The service was attentive and cordial. I felt bad they couldn't coax dessert because I've had their crème brûlée on another occasion and it was heavenly. C'est magnifique, Chez Vous! A lovely little bistro offering a fantastic dining experience.

I love French food and it's something we don't have very often so I was excited to come back. Unfortunately the food wasn't that great. The service was wonderful and the space hasn't changed (the carpets could probably be changed and the walls that have the quaint murals on them are dirty (splatters of food or drink were on the wall next to where I sat). My escargots and the foie gras were perfect, but the ravioli was overwhelmed by one of the sauces (a gravy type thing underneath). The filet was also very good, but I wouldn't say it was special. My husband got the scallops and there wasn't much of a saffron flavor to the saffron sauce. The worst part was our soufflés were all raw in the centers. We informed our waiter and they removed them from the bill, but overall it wasn't a great dinner, especially for the price.

However, we felt the service was overbearing, but many people may appreciate that. The food was very good, but not great for the prices. But you may be paying for the experience rather than the food. The restaurant is the height of elegance and the service although too much for me was impeccable. The clientele is almost all over sixty so it is not clear that this restaurant will withstand the test of time in the 21st century. Young people may not appreciate the charm and feel it is not worth the cost.
