I will forever be a friend of mambo seafood. Some of the best food you can get in Houston Texas. Their fish and shrimp are made to perfection and always fresh and full of flavor. Also, you cannot go wrong with the mambo fried rice. It's literally the best. To make it extra special put some of that hot habanero sauce on it and man you're talking about you got a great meal. Also, the pricing here is great. Where can you get a meal for lunch for around $10? Such a great value in my opinion. Also, recently they started up a loyalty program, which I think is amazing I come here all the time and I will absolutely take advantage of this. The service is usually really fast too. I didnt t think that I had to physically open the food while at the establishment and cut into to the fish to make sure it was cooked. All of the fish was still raw! Had to re fry the fish once at our destination! The rice did NOT have the correct seasoning. It tasted bland. No real flavor and the shrimp was tiny. My order was the shrimp fish rice that serves 4-5 persons. I should have known what to expect when I placed the order they said it would b 20 minutes it b ready. I was craving fish all weekend. Ordered door dash from this restaurant on Sunday. I ordered their whole red snapper - fried unbattered. It comes with two sides. I was disappointed that you had to pay almost $3 extra for mixed vegetables when the dish was already more than $30. So I chose shrimp fried rice and a salad. The fish was fried nicely and had good flavor. A little small in size. The shrimp fried rice had small shrimp but tasted good. Overall was a good meal but pricey. I had the worst experience in this establishment. I First get there and was greeted but it took over 10 minutes to place an order of tostadas.. waited over 35 minutes and still no tostadas. Waitresses passed by and I wasn't serviced. I get it this place gets a lot of business but it's an embarrassment when the manager has to take your order and still no tostadas. Overall I've had decent experiences with this establishment but if I'm going to spend over $35 for one meal I expect better service. Also, the manager was very cordial and offered to pay my tea but I always pay for what I consume. The place was very busy and I can't blame the staff. I gave it five stars because of the food the service and the management there are great. My only complaint is that the restaurant is just too loud. There is no noise dampening materials on the ceiling or walls and you can't hear yourself think in there. Makes a very difficult to have a conversation with someone you're eating with. read more

It's a mixed review because I love their rice!!! It is a number one in every regard. The shrimp taco should be called the Shrimpiest shrimp coleslaw tacos. It is very misleading to expect full size shrimp and all you get is the smallest salad shrimp ever. Stick to rice and fish i guess. Very disappointed. So....when the more expensive seafood restaurant at this location closed down in 2020, I thought to myself that it would be great location for a Mambo's and lo and behold it happened! I try to eat here at least every other week. My go-to is the combo #1 with my side choice being their famous shrimp fried rice. All their meal selections are a great value in today's economy so I don't mind spending my money here. So although I typically do not drink alcoholic beverages, I make an exception and drink a Michelada (with Corona beer) because their Michelada mix is so delicious when I eat here. I also have to mention that I experience great customer service from the moment I step in the door to when I leave. My server today was Ana and she did a great job! I find that all their servers are very attentive and always come back at decent intervals to check if I need anything else; I've noticed that a lot of restaurants have lost that special attention with their customers. The ambiance is lively with great music playing in the background that's at the perfect volume so you can still have a conversation if you are there with someone. read more
