Different from the east coast crab cakes I've had that use a loooot of bread crumbs and the cake can sometimes be dry as a result. This cake was moist and flavorful and paired with a perfectly made hollandaise. For dessert we got the basque cake, which is like a crispy pound cake surrounded by cherry preserves and crushed almonds. I liked the whipped potatoes with the mushrooms and demi-glace. It was like a good steak with mashed potatoes and brown gravy but elevated. For $19, it's on the steeper side in relation to the small portion. The parmesan truffle fries are $16, but it was a much larger portion. I'm assuming the quality of the truffle oil they use for it is what you're really paying for. I was craving pasta that week, so I ordered the pesto pasta rotisserie chicken. I'm a fan of pappardelle noodles, and I thought it was properly cooked al dente. The chicken was cubed and tender. The pesto itself wasn't overpowering for me, but I like pesto. I'm glad there were a lot of pine nuts and that the dish came with garlic sourdough. I love a good garlic bread with my pasta. The dish was served piping hot and was a big portion. I ate half and took the rest home. It ate well the next day. Again, it's a little pricey for pesto pasta at $27. Good thing most of the food we ordered tasted good. The Brussels sprouts were too sweet and very honey forward. It lacked acidity. I also tried a bite of my friend's salmon, and I thought it was nice and fresh. I'd come back and try one of their steaks and CFC. I liked the large selection of mocktails at decent price points since some of them had brand alternatives. I actually wanted to try 3 or 4 of them, but I went with only one - Dot Dot Seurat. It has sparkling fruit punch with fresh strawberries, muddled pineapple, 'filthy cherries' juice, topped with Topo Chico. It looked pretty and tasted good. It wasn't too sweet or sour. I'd like to try the Georgia O'Peach frozen drink next time. Service was great.
