Definitely a hidden gem located off of the Jessop Place exit in Washington. There is one table inside, but this place is really just for pick up and delivery. The pizza is very doughy (do not expect a thin n crispy crust) but you can tell the dough is home made. The sauce is sweet, but I love a sweet pizza sauce! I got the "regular" wings which I'm guessing by the yelp pics, that's their signature sauce. I really liked them, but my husband wasn't a huge fan bc they have a sweet heat. The regular is not buffalo. My husband also got an order of spaghetti and meatballs and they were just okay. So go to Mamma Cheez for pizza and wings, not the Italian entrees. read more

We have been getting pizza delivered from Vocelli's and we really like it but it seems so expensive that we decided to try something else. Mamma Cheez had good reviews so we ordered a large pizza for delivery. The service was excellent both on the phone and quick delivery. Unfortunately, the pizza really wasn't that good. The crust was kinda "doughy " or chewy. I wonder if it would have been better if it had been baked a little more. The sauce didn't really appeal to us either. Different people have different tastes and it may suit others better than it did us. Again, the service was great. read more

Stopped by this place for the first time for lunch. I called in my order and when I arrived I was a little thrown off by the building. Doesn't look like much from the outside but once you get inside the employees and food make it worth while. We ordered a ton of food - Steak Salad, Medium Pepperoni Pizza, Half Steak and Cheese, and a whole meatball and cheese. I assume the lady who answered the phone was the same woman that took care of me whenever I got there. She was super nice and threw in a 2 liter of soda because "we met the quota" The food was all really good and had huge portions. We definitely got our money's worth! Seems to be more of a takeout place than dine in. They only had a few small tables inside. I would recommend giving them a try if you get the chance! read more

First time ordering from Mamma Cheez. First, arriving outside my hunger increased due to the aroma coming from inside. Waiting for my order there were nonstop drivers coming and going with multiple orders each. Guy behind the counter said he took phone off the hook to allow kitchen caught up on orders. Got steak and cheese hoagies and fried cauliflower . Hoagies were huge and tasted great-alittle peppery for my taste, but really good. The bread was really fresh, BTW. The wings are dry and overcooked. I leave a comment on their facebook so they delete the comment and ban me from their fb page. I called and the manager told me I should have asked for "once cooked" wings because apparently if you don't you will get wings that were cooked twice. He said this in all seriousness as if I should have expected to get old wings that they threw back in the fryer to reheat and serve to customers. And here I thought I can expect "once cooked" wings aka FRESH, because with the prices for take out and delivery food these days no one should just accept below par cooking practices like this. As if you double cook your wings on purpose because you think people like dry crunchy wings. Please, you were serving me old wings and reheated them. read more

Huge disappointment. everything was cold - cheese hardened on pizza - only one thing worse than cold hard cheese would be this - cold, hard and greasy which it was. Even day old pizza tastes better. Salads meh cold hard fries on salads . Meat on salads was hard and over cooked. Zucchini was all breading. The veggie part was just a few steps shy of liquified. I don't know if the driver took a detour or if they made it at 3:00 when I called the order in for a 5:00 delivery. Maybe the order sat for an hour plus at the restaurant. Idk ‍ Not what I wanted for my daughter and her husband - a celebratory meal after 16 hours of labor. So disappointed in the pizza, the crust was so tough I couldn't even cut it with a knife, there was very little sauce and I wish it had more cheese, not parmesan. GOOD LORD. Alright so, new to the area and saw the massive number of good reviews so I decided I'd give it a shot. Ordered 2 large pepperoni pizzas with a 15 minute wait on a Sami day afternoon. More than fair timing and what not. I show up to a place that does not look like a pizza place at all, walk in and notice it is very small but here's the best part, 2 LARGE pizzas for 18$!!!! At this point I couldn't care less what it tasted like, that's CHEAP. BUT, To my surprise, this pizza is pretty darn good. So for the price and taste, couldn't recommend it more! read more

Pizza is so subjective, I hesitate to post. So I will say that I have found a particular style of "midwest pizza" that features medium to thick crust with lots of oil, sauce, and toppings. I find it in working class places inside working class cities. This is the quintessence of that. We didn't actually get to try this place b/c it is not accessible. We were coming with some of our cheer family from a competition in California, PA. Our group of 20+ people ended up going somewhere else accessible for our kids. We were def disappointed to not be able to try it. I understand building an extensive ramp system could be expensive but pouring a lil concrete or some wood would not be too hard. Hopefully we will get to visit soon!
