The restaurant is very nice. Employees are very friendly. Service was fast and efficient. This restaurant was the closest we have found so far to our hometown in western ny. The pasta sauce was very good. The garlic knots were delicious. Only negative was the chicken was swimming in sauce which normally I would love but the sauce was incredibly salty. Think someone went crazy with the addition of salt.. the sauce wasn't lemony as I would expect. I have rather high expectations of what we called chicken French in my hometown. Hometown is well known for the dish and this one did not hit the spot. I gave the rest of the meal to my husband who ate it figuring it was senseless to let it go to waste. I won't ding this review for a bad version knowing I am comparing to original version of the dish. I did try my husbands Alfredo and my sons pasta. Both were very good. Think next time we come I will skip the chicken and choose something else

Made the trip to Seymour and glad we did. The location is in a strip mall next to Kroger so if you forgot that they don't serve wine yet stop in there first, worth the $3 corking fee for BYOB! We were greeted right away and seated very quickly in the dining room area. Brightly lit, a mixture of tables and booths. They serve you garlic knots when you sit down. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She answered any of our menu questions and was very helpful with letting us customize our order. My husband ordered angel hair pasta with marinara, which came with a salad (pretty big for a side salad). I ordered eggplant parmigiana and asked for angel hair and Alfredo (and salad). Food came very quick, portions were very large and food was very very good, the seasoning was perfect! Prices were so reasonable. We will definitely go back!

Guys! I remembered to take pictures of lunch- after a few bites! Mamma mia's italian restaurant in Seymour is so good. Had a little snafu with our order to go, but made it right and sent free garlic rolls too. I had the deluxe calzone, hubs had a gyro with onion rings and of course the rolls! All excellent tasting and we had a picnic at the park so it travelled a few minutes and was still 100% awesome. Nice folks too!

Surprisingly really good! Lived in Seymour for two years and it was some of the best food I've had.

Incredible Italian food. Probably the best Chicken Florentine I have ever had. Stromboli is awesome too!

This place brought me so much happiness and joy. I got the salmon Alfredo as a test of sorts. I'm picky, VERY picky when it comes to pasta, even worse with sauces. I taste the avocado salad first. One singular tear of pure joy falls from my eye. The chicken was fried perfectly. The food didn't stand a chance against my appetite. I didn't even get to get a photo of my meal before I was violently destroying my plates (with love.) My sweet tea was perfect. Not sugar water, not overly sweet nor under sweetened. I didn't even need to ask for a refill, they just offered right when k was low. Then I tasted the salmon Alfredo. You know those scenes in ratatouille? When remy tastes the cheese and the strawberry together? Then when the food critic had the ratatouille? That's exactly what happened. It was as if the chef and waiters were ethereal beings sent from heaven solely to give my meager human taste buds a chance of experiencing pure bliss. It was gorgeous. I will be back if only to experience the beauty of such blessed Italian food. Other restaurants wish they can be like Mariolino's, I guarantee you, that other restaurants fall short.

Ambiance here is mixed as the lighting and staff dress looks upscale but it's really more casual. Come as you are is what I'm saying. We were promptly seated and had the place to ourselves for a short while. We brought our own wines so our waitress quickly opened the bottles and read the specials of the day. We have been here before but it has been few years since our last visit; we were not disappointed. You will not be disappointed with the classics or the Special Platter. I opted for the special Blacked Grouper (38) my wife ordered the Seafood Alfredo (28), and Caesar Salad. The salad could have been a more traditional blended salad but the highlights were the entrees. Both were perfectly prepared and a good price point. We ended our evening with their classic Tiramisu and an order of Gelato. Both were excellent and well priced. The highlight was the private room and our service...it's like a classic Trattoria. They closed decades ago and despite my being an excellent cook and learning to make several of our favorite recipes, it was never the same. Last night while on vacation, we realized that there was a Johnny Carinos near where we were staying. There was no question what was for dinner. We showed up after a long day of being tourists together. Neither one of us was terribly hungry, but we were not going to let that stop us. She started with a sangria and I ordered a raspberry Italian soda ( I've never seen my drink anywhere except Johnny Carinos and forgot how good they were). We shared a small plate of Italian nachos. They were a little lighter on the Alfredo sauce than we remember but were still fantastic. The fact that they had a small plate now suited us since we were both getting entrees too. She ordered the Chicken Scalopini and I ordered the Chicken Milano (without mushrooms). Both dishes were larger than we remember and we barely dented them before getting full. Both were exactly what we had wanted and cooked flawlessly. I can happily say that Johnny Carinos lived up to my memories .
