RELIEVED. That's the first thing that comes to my mind when I think about my experience with renting my condo through Manger 4 Less. Truth be told: like everyone else I'm good at some things and not good at some others, and dealing with people is not my specialty, nor is patience. Both qualities, however, are needed - in ample amounts - when you are renting a property, more so when the property in question is not exactly in the best of condition. My previous renter, whom I took on someone's recommendation, had been frequently late in paying the rent and, if that was not enough, had also damaged the property considerably. When I showed my property to the staff of Manager 4 Less, they, naturally enough, said that with damages being as serious and conspicuous as they were, they would not be able to get me a very good rent. I concurred with them, but didn't have much money on me to spend on repairs and told them so. Always on the ball, they suggested some cost-effective repairs. Thanks to their advice, I got almost as good a rent that I would have got had my property been in top condition. If you are looking for top notch property managers who know what they are talking about and who have your best interests in mind, you might want to give these guys a call. In May of 2014, I was looking for a team to manager my property. I drove around and found a "FOR RENT" sign on a beach property in Carlsbad. I decided to call the number out of curiosity. A woman named Gloria answered and when I explained my situation, she quickly schedule me an appointment at my home the very next day in the San Elijo neighborhood. Being my first time, I was definitely nervous and I had a lot of questions and didn't know exactly what to expect but Gloria made it so simple! We first had a walk-through then sat down to discuss everything. I must say I am glad I jumped in the water! They found me a tenant within the same week and I was getting checks right away. Overall I'd say my experience with them is relaxed and definitely easy going. There are never any complications and they take all of the stuff! In all honesty, thanks to them, being a landlord is much easier than expected haha. I'm considering buying more small units that they can manage. I got laid off from my job in Northern California at the end of June 2012. I was looking for an urgent solution to feed my kids because I didn't qualify for any unemployment. Thankfully, a headhunter on Carlsbad Village Drive got some interviews in San Diego county. Soon enough, I got hired by a local tech company but my biggest concern was still to look for a place to live. So my HR department recommended me to Susan at Property Management Carlsbad. Their company didn't look like anything special at first and I didn't know whether I was wasting my time or not. I told them about my needs upfront, and without beating around the bush: "find me a two bedrooms house with two bathrooms at Carlsbad beach. My budget is $2,500 per month. To tell you frankly, I asked without thinking because I didn't think that they could provide. However, less than 24 hours later, Susan, Zaina and Patrick all called me with different listings that they wanted to show me and that were matching my expectations. I was very skeptical and it was hard to believe. So I went and saw the rentals they had to offer. The first house was overlooking the beach in downtown Carlsbad. It was small and didn't have enough parking. The second house that I went to was actually a 3bedroom condominium. It looked nice and spacious but didn't have enough parking (this is to be expected especially near the waterfront. The third house was located very near the border of Oceanside on the 101, it has a nice marble bathroom, a good granite kitchen. I ended up picking the second house. The hardest part was to show my wife because she stayed in NorthCal. So Patrick told me I could take pictures from my smartphone and message them directly.
