The owner asked me how in love with the original engine I was. He told me it would save about half the cost of a rebuild to go with a crate motor. I asked more questions of him on the phone. We met in person later. He tried to tell me that what I wanted was too aggressive for my car. It would not be daily drivable. He could not define what he meant by that term.He was insisting that I did not know what I know about engines camshafts and my own car. Later I find out he is a computer programmer who bought the business from the man I used to know. They had my car for 7 days including a weekend. I learned nothing about what they were planning. The car sat outside. I decided to go somewhere else. They charged me $800 for basically a state inspection.

Black Wolf Automotive took the Cougar in and over the next 2 years, was completely rebuilt. 3 speed manual to a 5 speed. Bluetooth, spoiler, tires, interior was redone oh, and the Ford F-150 Lightning engine from either late 90's or early 2000's. Rental car, another two nights in the tent camping and $300.00/repair bill, paid cash, Tuesday afternoon, we're back on the road. Leaking again on I-70 in Pennsylvania. Called and reported it. WE WERE NOT WAITING on I-70 2.5 hrs from home. At home, after I found the clamps they used were cheap & like all cheap junky hose clamps, when you tighten them up, the clamps strip & the hose leaks. Also, there were other 3 other hoses leaking on another section of the car that needed tightening just a tweak. For $300 cash, the very least they could have done was snug the up. It took me 30 seconds to do it! We want at least 1/3 of the $300 back, since I had to replace the clamps with a quality steel clamps, as these cheap hubris clamps on their $300/job stripped. I was told it was in great condition. I purchased the vehicle and after taking delivery, the local Lexus shop in my town put it up on the rack and showed a lot of rust, and virtually all after market parts throughout. What did I get from the inspection I paid for? Fast lotta nothing. And a rust bucket full of junk parts. Beware.
