The only reason I gave a four is that the machine has went on the blitz several times in the middle of the testing. The waiting area was very comfortable and they seemed to offer a good variety of frames and products. I was seen quickly for my appointment. There was a little issue with one of the machines during my tests, but the staff was efficient and helpful to one another to get the machine reset. The room where they do a few pre-tests has a tall "stool" chair to sit on for the tests which isn't the most accommodating. I asked if the chair could be lowered (since the test table can be lowered) and she could not lower it. I chose to stand for the tests, which did work, but it would be nice if a bit more consideration could be made for people who were unable to get into a tall seat. I did notice later that they had a little folding step stool nearby, perhaps that is their work around, but it wasn't offered to me. I still would have preferred a lower seat since the table could be lowered. I didn't opt to purchase glasses following my visit because my insurance didn't cover enough of the fees; however, I was given some advice about the product that I was planning to purchase (transition lenses) which I found to be very informative. I appreciated their no-pressure approach with the post-exam. Other offices (different brand) nearly hold your ankles as you try to leave without purchasing glasses through them. She simply assured me that my information was on file and that I was welcome to come in and look around if I were to change my mind.

The doctor who saw me was Jason Green. He was very kind and good at explaining what was going on. I got my pupils dilated, which I have never had done before. I have pretty bad anxiety, and I started to have a panic attack. One of my worst fears is not being able to see, so I think that caused me to start to panic. When your pupils are dilated, you cannot see up close very well. Dr. Green was extremely patient, and even though he was running behind, he let me take a break and helped me calm down, and made me feel better by telling me stories. I don't usually have panic attacks, and was surprised that this came on so quickly. He was very helpful throughout the whole process. The front desk gal took the time to run both of my insurances to get me the best price, which the screening ended up being free through my Blue Cross insurance vs Davis Vision. I just wanted to come on here and thank all the staff who helped me at my appointment. Thank you for making me feel comfortable and being so kind.

Well worth it for not having to have blurry, weird vision for the rest of the day. I see Dr. Yates, and my oldest comes here now too and looks forward to it. The office is very nice, and there is parking but it can be tight in the little adjacent lot. Nothing but good vibes here, good location, and I never dread my annual trip in. (less than a business day from my appointment) They did not inform me when I MADE the appointment that this change would be implemented, so I had to search for another practice if I did not want to pay 100% out of pocket. I asked repeatedly why the decision was made, but no one could answer this question. I couldn't see my computer, I couldn't see to drive and I couldn't see to read. The prescription they gave me had a small hole that I could see out of; I felt like a fool trying to find it. Before I left, I told them this and they just said, "you'll have to get used to it". I brought them back and asked for an alternative. They're terrible also. $400 for readers and I still can't see. The guy made them so big they slip off. I can't take off any more time off work to get these straight and apparently I don't have any other options. They didn't give a care to ensure my prescription was right or the fit. Wasted time and MONEY.
