It is extremely popular, as many of the tables were filled with patrons even on a weekday night. We ordered the lasagna and a pizza, and both were amazing. The lasagna was a generous portion, and I hardly made a dent in it before having to ask for a takeout box. Pizza is made fresh in a wood fire oven, so it had a lovely texture and that beautiful char. Would definitely recommend.

And you certainly won't expect it to be this busy especially on Fridays and weekends. They were quite busy on a lazy Thursday as well. There was not an item that we've tried that disappointed. The margherita pizza was one of the better ones I've had in recent memory. The cheese had a good dairy taste and the sauce gave off a refreshing tomatoey flavour. The crust was a good marriage of doughy chewiness and slight crunch. All the pastas were homemade with an al dente texture. It really didn't matter if it's a cream based sauce or a tomato sauce, the flavours are on point. Out of all of the pastas I've tried, the wild boar which was part the day's special was the one that I'd least prefer. It's not bad, but I wouldn't say the taste of the meat was special in any way. And it was more of a ground up wild boar as opposed to chucks of meat. Would have preferred the latter. I really love their lasagna. Hearty, savoury and done right the Italian way. Pappardelle bolognese was equally nice. They also make a mean mushroom risotto. I have no clue why I spoke about main course first, but I can assure you that's not the order they were served. The arancini were a bit pricey, but again delicious. Caesar salad was solid, but would have preferred a bit more cheese shavings. I've never had dessert here so I can't comment on them. It was tempting to give Ciao Ragazi a 5 star rating, but the service was incredibly slow the first time I was there. I think the kitchen staff was just overwhelmed since the Asian gentleman in the open kitchen was responsible for salads, pizzas and desserts. Also, if they can tone down the sodium level by a pinch, it would have made their food near perfect. I'm a big fan of Ciao Ragazi and so is my family and as a result we've returned several times, both for dine in and takeout.

The toasty bread was perfect for the snowy weather, toffee caramel drizzle wasn't too much, and the candied walnuts was a genius addition. We always get their kale salad and gigantic meatball spaghetti with an extra meatball whenever we go, this time was no exception. We've also ordered their limited time festive blood orange and cranberry bellini. It was a tasty punch; just too bad the glitter sank to the bottom, or it would have made a better photo. I was a bit disappointed because I asked specifically which of the Christmas cocktails looked prettier, and was told the glitter makes it really festive. Later in conversation the server said the liquid glitter sinks to the bottom so customers can only see the glitter when the drink is almost finished. So I suppose it was known to the staff. Service was great, server apologized for the long wait for the cocktail, and explained the bartender had to make 20 cocktails for a large party, hence the wait.

Upon arrival, we were promptly taken to our giant long table. I was also very impressed by the interior of the restaurant. It was appeared like farmhouse setup, with wooden frame and arches, brick walls and a big size bar. I got to try some of the hand stretched mozzarella dishes like naked. It came with butter toasted bread and sea salt. The mozzarella was so delicious, such good quality. I kept eating it until the entree arrived. I got the Mediterranean salmon for entree. The fish was cooked excellently. Moist in the middle. But some of the ingredients, especially the white beans didn't go well with the salmon. I left of it in the plate, just ate the fish and the spinach. I ordered the pineapple mango (spirit free) drink. Loved the flavor of it. Our server was such a champion. He handled this huge group of diners with ease, took everyone's drinks, appetizers and entree orders correctly, not a single error. Several other staff members helped him out with serving and cleaning out empty plates. Overall we had a wonderful dinner together here.

Makes every bite extra delicious. Be aware though that this is messy to eat, even with a knife and fork. After paying for our order, we were given a menu with coupons to use for our next visit. There's no place to eat inside, as this is a take out only restaurant. You can eat outside the restaurant and they provide a garbage bin outside where you can discard any trash after eating.

Basically a take out/pick up place with a bench to sit/wait for walk-ins like myself. Notice many customers ordered in advance and picked up to avoid waiting time. As soon as you walk in, the smell of dough, pizzas, Italian cooking smacks you in the face like a Mack truck crashing through a marshmallow factory. I ordered the small pepperoni pizza and their "infamous" Panzerotti (fried of course). Waited 15mins, counter staff were friendly and helpful, answered my noob questions with the patience of a saint. Rushed home, skidding over the road ice and nearly grazing the huge snow banks on the side roads. Panzerotti where have you been all my life. Similar to Calzone but thinner and much larger. Golden crunchy goodness with a significant cheese pull. I choose the meat sauce filling (Xtra $2), well worth it. Staff recommended the garlic dip (Xtra $1.50), brought the Panzerotti to a higher level. I was tempted to eat the whole Panzerotti all at once, glad my brain warned me to eat only half which was more than enough. The small pizza had a good ratio of cheese/sauce to crust, every bite was pure joy. Pizza crust had a chewy, slightly salty flavor profile. Not the best, dough/crust above average, then again I'm a little bias hanging out in New York's Little Italy during my misspent youth gorging myself on New York style pizza slices. Mama, I think I found my favorite neighborhood Italian take out place. Can't wait to try their veal/chicken parmigiana sandwiches.
