We bought the mattress on Sunday, and it was delivered on Tuesday. The delivery men were great. They had the bed set up and old one removed in about 20 minutes. My husband and I are thrilled with the experience we had at Mancini's. Our salesperson, Graham was knowledgeable (even though we thought we knew what we wanted) and helpful. He never pressured us but offered us enough options to make a selection based on our needs and our price range. He made arrangements for everything we needed. We chose to put off buying a headboard but he showed us one on his computer based on what we said we wanted. We bought an adjustable bed that was delivered in two days. We love it. Now we want a headboard. When we went into the store to order it, a new sales person helped us-Steve Silver. Even though Graham was on vacation, Steve was able to get the headboard info for us. Only giving 4 stars because I feel like I didn't get the full experience lol... my boyfriend and I went in for a new mattress and box spring but we wanted some help finding which one was right for us luckily we have gone looking before but there was a customer who was giving the only worker in the store a hard time and from what I was hearing very loudly was her form of payment was some type of check wasn't going to work and she kept coming at the worker who it definitely was not his fault and he was doing all he could to help her. I almost felt bad because he was coming up with ways to help her and try to call people who are "higher up" to ask them why or if something can be done and she was still yelling at him saying "why won't you take my money I am trying to spend 6 thousand with you" "idk you guys won't just take my money" and the worker was remaining very professional. Meanwhile we tried out many beds and found the perfect one! The worker called someone to come in and try and talk to her and by then my phone had died and so I went to the car to turn it on and by the time I came back 5 or so minutes she was gone and the worker was super polite and helpful! We handled everything quick and now have our mattress with us now delivery was smooth and everything worked out. Shout out to joe! WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A SALESPERSON EVER!!!!!! Not only was Jon a salesperson but the MANAGER of the store! I'd give ZERO stars if Yelp allowed. It all started because my university student daughter was moving into an apartment and needed a bed. Before heading to school, we went to a local Los Angeles mattress store to see what mattresses she'd like to consider. Thinking I could call a store in Petaluma to have it delivered on Friday, July 31. She found three and I made my first mistake by calling this store and talking to Jon. I told him my daughter was interested in three and gave him the names of them. He had one out of the three and it was the the Serta Vantage Plush. Right away he wanted to know how much the other store wanted to charge me. I didn't want to tell him and wanted to see what price he can give me. He told me he can't beat their price without knowing and that I was being "difficult" and that I'm hard to work with. What? Because I wouldn't tell him how much the other store would quoted me??? He finally gave me a price of $974.24 and told me that if I ordered the mattress by 2:00 p.m. I can have same day delivery. I didn't purchase it over the phone because I decided to actually go to the store and see if it was the same mattress we wanted (I didn't want to wait until it was delivered to see that it might not be the one we wanted) and I didn't feel comfortable giving him my credit card number over the phone after the way he spoke to me. Thursday, July 30th, after driving ten hours we pulled into the parking lot of Mancini's Sleepworld around 7:30 p.m. Walked in. No "hello", "hi" just "who are you buying a new bed for?". So I introduced myself to him and told him it was for my daughter who was with me and mentioned that we spoke on the phone. I didn't expect him to remember me because the store has other customers come in. He asked me again what my budget was (I didn't have one because this is a bed for my daughter and her back health is important to me) I just told him we wanted to see the Serta mattresses the store had available. He started pointing everywhere in the store and told me he can't help me unless I give him a budget. I told him I will let him know when I need his help. A few minutes later while my daughter and I were looking at a mattress he blurred out that I was being "difficult" and that he has his monthly quota to meet and the "Canadian" mattress store across the street CANNOT beat his prices. My daughter's eyes about bugged out of her head because she to couldn't believe he talks to customers like that and I just ignored his attitude. I am an American living abroad in Canada. I found his demeanor and tone about the "Canadian" mattress store horrible. Canada is my home at this moment and I love the opportunity I have living in this beautiful place with beautiful people and his tone was very offensive. We picked out a mattress, Jon took it upon himself to select the boxspring, we told him which headboard we'd like to purchase and Jon said "I'll throw in the bed frame". I signed the Visa merchant slip and then he stapled the invoice and told us the mattress will be delivered on SATURDAY! What???? Buying this bed on Thursday evening should count as a Friday morning purchase by 2:00 p.m. and the bed should be delivered for Friday shouldn't it???? Nope! It was going to be delivered on Saturday afternoon. We got in the car and I was looking at the invoice and there was a charge of $43.63 for the bed frame. So I went back in the store and mentioned that to Jon. He said "I TOLD YOU IT WAS A BUNDLE SET. NOTHING IS FOR FREE". I don't know how anyone else translates "I'll throw in the bed frame" but I translate that as "free" and it should show up on the invoice as $0. Oh! Another "shady" thing....Jon offered a headboard for $20 if I paid him cash if I wanted it. Also if I paid "cash" a nightstand, however, I forgot how much he offered it for. When I got back in the car my daughter wasn't comfortable with the whole thing. So the next morning we went to the "Canadian" mattress store across the street Jon recommended and they did beat his price on the mattress and they delivered the same day! We went back afterwards and just asked him for a refund. I would have paid $100+ more for a mattress then to deal with Jon. I've NEVER been so mistreated by a salesperson EVER! You might ask why I didn't leave when he was rude to me the first time. Well, my mindset wasn't in the right place. I had emotional "byes" back in Los Angeles with family and friends, drove ten hours thinking I need to buy a mattress so Friday night we'd have a bed to sleep in (we stayed in a hotel Thursday night) and knowing I only had a few days left with my daughter before I head back to Canada. The only thing I have to say is thank you Jon for recommending the "Canadian" mattress store across the street! I had the best experience there! read more
