Well of course when things go wrong you call the person you bought the bed from for support. I bought a Tempurpedic bed in February of 2016. I should have done more research on the Tempurpedic bed before purchasing but I was swayed because my friend had one. I bought the Rhapsody Breeze and there Dri-Tec cover. Guy explained that the cover helps with moisture, dust etc. Yesterday I pulled up my bed to change my sheets and put a new bed skirt on because we just changed our bedding. I pulled up the mattress and saw mold growing in an isolated area of the bed...there are no other spots or moisture in any other areas. The Manager decided to call me back because I'm mortified that I bought a $2,000 mattress that has accumulated moisture underneath the bed and started growing mold. Manager McKenzie,I believe gave me the shpeal that she has worked for this company for a really long time and she has never seen this happen, yadda yede da. This is a known issue that has been going on for a very long time...neither Tempurpedic nor these companies want to recognize there is a hazardous issue with these beds. Michael Finney just did an expose on this very issue and if McKenzie did her own research would find the same thing. I have a bed, I can no longer sleep on. This women had the audacity to tell me to get a mold inspector in my home and I was wrong. What she basically told me was that I'm SOL and that if you have any moisture in your home your SOL. What is happening is when you sweat at night the Tempurpedic retains that moisture and sits inside the mattress, it starts building up and then starts growing mold. Don't buy these beds!

They're competitively priced, their selection is excellent, and the service is truly exceptional. It's so hard to find that kind of kindness and professionalism these days, and Sonoma Furniture is one of the few businesses I've found that really excels in every area. They're a local family business, and I always feel good supporting them instead of spending money at big chains. Businesses like this are exactly why shopping local matters. One thing that really stood out to me: I bought a chair online from a different manufacturer that Sonoma Furniture doesn't even carry, and the manufacturer sent me a taller replacement cylinder for it. I didn't want to hire a handyman because I wanted someone who actually knows furniture to do it properly, so I asked if they could help. I even offered to pay, but Kirk, the owner, replaced it for me as a favor. That kind of generosity and customer care is incredibly rare. They are genuinely wonderful people, and I couldn't recommend them more highly.

We spent a lot of time looking at dozens of local and North American wallbed manufacturers before choosing Mack Wallbed Systems. They are the best by a long shot! Mack Wallbed Systems is an outstanding, well-run family business that uses the best, commercial grade wallbed mechanisms and handcrafts their own solid wood frames. Ryan is a wallbed expert and a master carpenter. He patiently answered all of our questions and helped us figure out the right design solution for our home. His character, integrity, and professionalism made it a joy to work with him at every step along the way. Ryan and Mack Wallbed Systems are the very best at what they do. Thank you, Ryan!

Ryan McGunagle estimates he's made and installed about 2,000 wallbeds since his dad put the…read morebusiness in his hands some years back. His experience shows. While I didn't buy a wallbed from Ryan, I certainly wish I had. This would have saved me a great deal of time, money and frustration compared with the nightmare with another bed manufacturer in Colorado. What Ryan did do for me was salvage that wallbed purchase, which had gone terribly wrong. In the process of working through the problems, Ryan proved himself to be a real master of this particular type of furniture. And his attention to detail and level of skill is really impressive. So here's how it all came down. A couple of years ago I decided to remodel the ground floor of our house, and wanted a wallbed as it provides a way to multi-task the space. So I searched around and found a lot of units that looked okay but when examined more closely revealed a very sketchy mechanism to raise and lower the bed. Also, the cabinetry surrounding these beds is typically made of particle board which makes the thing kinda wobbly due to poor strength/weight of the board. At some point I happened on the website of SICO, Inc. which makes what is in fact the most substantial wallbed mechanism available, virtually a quantum leap in quality over units I had seen before. To build the bed I was referred to SICO's distributor in Denver, with its splashy website showing wallbeds with all kinds of cute arrangements: TV screens, wetbars, winery tanks, or whatever. I visited the showroom and worked out a deal with the owner. The bed had to fit in a certain space between 2 closets just so, but the owner said no problem we'll get 'er done pardner. But after almost a year's delay what arrived was built in such a way that the bed was useless, as it could not fit in the space involved (see attached photos of finished project). After months of haggling I realized too late the Denver operation was an incompetent ripoff, and that to salvage my purchase what I needed was someone local who also knew how to build wallbeds using the SICO mechanism. And that's how I found Ryan. He makes beds of quality at least as high as the shop in Denver, but also has a stellar reputation for reliability. Oddly enough, there are quite a few more Yelp reviews that attest to this but not clearly visible because they "didn't make the cut". I'm not sure what this means as they are all 5-star and some were written in the last year or so. I suggest you check out these "other" reviews to get a better idea of how well satisfied his customers have been. Knowing what I know now I certainly would have gone to Petaluma in the first place to buy my wallbed. But by the time I found Mack Wallbeds I didn't need a bed, I needed a craftsman to make the best of what I had. Ryan knows inside and out the SICO mechanism, how to build a bed around it, and its installation. What I also learned from this experience is that finding the right shop to build the bed is only half the job. Built correctly these things are substantial pieces of furniture. If you buy it somewhere else, you may find that installing it is not something the average carpenter really knows. I was lucky to find Ryan who turned my original nightmare into exactly what it was supposed to have been in the first place. I can only give him my highest recommendation, and my sincere thanks for helping create a very valuable extra bedroom in our home.

This was my first experience and sale at Roe and Company. When everything shut down, I called the store. The answering message was very clear in its message, saying she (they) would not be in the store and would not be answering any messages until things had changed. California was in lockdown and I totally understood. As soon as things started opening up. I called the store and left a message. Michelle called me back and said that the store (Petaluma retail) was not open yet and would keep me abreast. When the store opened up, I heard from Michelle, saying the chair was in the process of being shipped from back east, and she would call as soon as the chair arrived. The chair will soon be delivered to me. From the beginning, Michelle, in her gracious ways, has been clear as to the details of my chair sale. I love the store and look forward to doing business again. Of course, I would have loved to have had my chair sooner but the reality of the Pandemic set in. The Pandemic has been a challenge to all of us. I am grateful to Roe and Company for their exemplary customer service, from start to finish. Thank you, Michelle

Absolutely toxic people and process. In my 72 yrs as a…read moreconsumer, I have never dealt with such disgusting people. I bought a Fjords Helsinki chair from a Petaluma shop called Roe and Co. several months ago. We bought it on the sale at 20% and were very excited to bring to our home. We paid the 50% deposit and were notified the chair could be picked up assembled or in two boxes. We asked it be assembled and to please assure everything worked right ... and not really agile with assembly stuff. We were told twice - once by Dan and another time by co-owner Michelle, to call the assembly shop in Santa Rosa, 24 hours in advance to have chair assembled and ready for pick up. We called 48 hours in advance and were given a very confusing disorganized response to this request, something to the effect, well don't come at 10 o'clock on opening because they wont be ready and have to assemble it. I said that was why I was calling as told at least 24 hours in advance so they could assemble prior to pick up at 10 am on Friday 2/21.... and believed that they thus understood it would be assembled and tested ti make sure it all worked according to specifications. We paid two movers w/ a truck to pick up at 10:15 am on 2/21 and they were told to wait, chair needed to be assembled... The chair was then delivered with great care (wrapped in moving blankets by very competent careful movers I personally know) and we put in place. First we saw chair had not been tested as the electrical had not been collected - I had to unbox this stuff - and no instructions were with chair. I called Roe and explained to Michelle the chair a. not preassembled as agreed b. not tested obviously as it was not attached to electrical unit and c. how to put together then. She was quite unpleasant, backed off any responsibility on any of this and gave me the directions to attach the electrical (one extension cord did not fit .... so we cannot use both lengths of connection), but we got it connected and were delighted Until my wife noticed that the left arm was higher - by 3/4" - to the right arm as measured from the floor to top of arm. and the button that controls the angle of the top of the chair did nothing at all. I called Roe and they said this was ridiculous, used awful raised voices, said what I report was impossible, that the chair was fine and was when picked up. I said, how would you know if you did not test it? He refused to answer that but said they have no responsibility, that warranty requires we bring chair to them. Dan said it was damaged by our movers and our problem... nothing to do with them. Roe never helped resolve the problems. So I turned to Fjorde - the maker of the chair - and they were great. We discovered that a main mechanism to move top angle of chair was broken - and never really figured out why one arm 1inch higher than the other. Fjorde offered to replace the chair. ALL I CAN SAY IS AVOID ROE & Company in Petaluma. They are literally the very worst store I have ever had the displeasure to do business with. They are just the epitome of an ugly, self-absorbed, dumb, lazy, disorganized firm.
