I came in looking for a guest bed mattress after a disappointing experience at my local mattress firm. Dan helped me find the perfect mattress at the price I wanted and got me an amazing deal. He went above and beyond giving me various options at different price points for me to consider. I was shopping with my almost 4 month old baby so I was pretty nervous about trying to find a mattress by myself, but Dan let me take my time and I never ever felt pressured or rushed. My mattress was delivered same day and when the box spring proved too large for the platform base, Dan personally called me and assured me he would not only provide me with a smaller one to accommodate the bed, but that it would be taken care of the next day. After a horrible experience with Sleeptrain and their non-existent customer service I went over to Mancinis. I was in such back and neck pain from the Sleeptrain bed that part of my face had gone numb due to a pinched nerve I ended up with in my neck. After explaining my situation, the Mancini manager was able to pinpoint my exact pain points WITH OUT me telling her. I tried several beds and she suggest one that when I layed on it immediately relieved my back pain. Pain that I had been in for 8 months!!!! She was so helpful in getting me approved for financing and worked with me on the price as well. While I waited to get approved she gave me a brand new Memory pillow to help with my neck FREE OF CHARGE. It was the first night of sleep that I had in 8 months. 2 days later my bed was delivered. And I can say and tell everyone that I am completely PAIN FREE in both my back AND with the right pillow to support me I have feeling in my face again!!! I have being dealing with Mancini's sleepworld for several years. My first dealing was in 2003 when purchased my daughters (now 12&13) Princess Bunkbeds. The service was great! Last year I purchased a new fold out sofa for company and recently the fold out bar broke off in my companies hand!! How embarrassing.. I wrote Mancini's online and the next day Desiree phoned me back.. Not only did I get a new couch, but she went above and beyond to make sure they took the old one and delivered the new one within the week. I recommend them to anyone! My boyfriend and I went to Mancini's Friday June 9th and was cordially greeted by Kevin. At 1st I thought this man was just like any other salesman (we've been through a few mattress stores by now) and we wanted to be left alone for a bit to look around. Visited August 5th just to inquire on a new bed. Shaun greeted us, very lively and upbeat. Made us feel super comfortable about trying everything we wanted. Explained all functions in detail so we felt confident about making this big purchase. So we ended up getting to me the top of the line Tempur-Pedic. We went here to purchase my son's "big boy" bed. The purchase was a cake walk. Told the saleswoman what we were looking for and were in and out in about 15 mins...and that includes chasing a 3 yr old off their bunk beds. There was a little hiccup that delayed our delivery, but Desiree was quick to jump in and handle our issue. It says alot about a team when there is an issue, they address it and handle it. My husband and I have only purchased 2 beds in our (married) lives and they both came from Mancini's. We'll be back. WHY couldnt we buy a better warranty ran thru my mind. Despite it being an $800 frame product? FRAME not wooden headboard or bed or mattress. Just an electric frame, $800 is not cheap & ONLY 1 year? Not good! Also despite us telling her WE KNEW THE MATTRESS WE ALREADY WANTED. She kept pushing for a Sterns & Foster floor model. Nice but no thanks! We'd already did some research on that company & found it USED to b very good now they r just another " bought out" by another company brand & made now with a less quality but once was a good named mattress. She pushed, still! Yet her answers to questions like ....hows the warranty? fell very short of what we needed. Not to mention she spouted out big lies about Costco's warranty & beds to enhance her mattress's. I listened knowing Id already checked out Costco's mattress policies We wanted a bed frame thats ALL WE CAME FOR. We wanted to take one home that night but the 1 year limited warranty scared us so I felt we should check out other mattress stores that are literally across the street or maybe a few department stores? Repeatedly, I told my trusting & determined to go home with something husband, "Its a matteress store they must have more than ONE, its late , it will still b here in the morning"! But she harped on him at the same time that he should leave a deposit..,, without missing a beat! Even as I walked out the door! She gathered real fast that our bed situation at home was AWFUL to say the least. She explained that if he changed his mind on the movable bed frame, the money would still be there to give back the next day!!! SHE ASSURED HIM OF THAT, over & over further drilling in security to him . She NOT once said they dont give cash back! Of course not! If she did, NO ONE WOULD DARE LEAVE MONEY!!! Right..,,. No she said there's nothing to worry about bcuz she would give him a reciept! ITS A MONTH LATER & 3 trips in store with our deposit reciept in hand & NO MONEY. YET SHE DID GIVE US PLENTY OF EXCUSES! "Oh the owners on vacation," "it should be in your mail by NEXT Wednesday" "Mr. Mancini is the only one who can write a check"! SHE NOT ONCE SAID WHEN BEGGING FOR THE DEPOSIT THAT NIGHT WHiLE STUFFING HER FACE FULL OF RAMEN NOODLES FROM BEHIND THE COUNTER..,,,, " if u leave me some of your hard earned dollars, Im going to deposit your money in about 45 minutes & Mancinis does NOT EVER GIVE MONEY BACK, we hold it untill you DO BUY SOMETHING FROM US OR you take the time to take us to court! Which of course u will EVENTUALLY get ur money back but at a great expense so most dont bother & thats why we work hard to get you to give up YOUR money! She of course basically meant kiss ur $300 cash goodbye & ur reciept means nothing to us!! Hopefully it will to a judge! , but she did say on the last visit, NO I CANT GIVE U OUR HEADQUARTERS NUMBER. So think about it people who like us were already tired from lack of a good nights sleep? Do you really want to make it all worse??? My fiance and I have been there and bought things on 3 different occasions and each time has been pleasurable and we've left happy. The guys working there are always super friendly and chatty, they always take extra off the total cost, delivery is always fast, and overall it is a well maintained and clean store. The first time we went in we bought a twin mattress for $100 delivered. The second time we bought a couple of bean bag chairs since we had no living room furniture as our couches hadn't arrived yet and needed something temporarily. They gave us 2 of the large leather bean bag chairs for less then $100 (you know those chairs are pricey). This last time in we purchases a new queen size beautyrest mattress set. It was the last day of their truck load sale, I think we saved about $500 on the set. We've repeated business here because of how friendly they are and the fact that they always give us a good deal! read more

*EDIT: upon our first visit, we had a less than decent experience. But, I have to say that the management at Mancini's really went out of their way to resolve every issue we had with our transaction. They reached out and made us feel like we mattered as customers. I would recommend you shop here. My husband and I visited the store yesterday, at 1:30 pm on a Sunday. There were about 10 customer groups in the store and only two employees working. Surprisingly, with some patience they both did a very decent job at juggling their customer interactions and trying to check back with us. We knew they were busy, but we honestly did not feel ignored. We had reached a decision on the mattress we wanted, but the sticker price was higher than we were willing to pay. We asked the associate (whose card says she is the store manager) for a discount and she said she would make a call for us to see if that were possible. She came back and told us we could have the mattress for $1600. Awesome. This is where things went downhill. The manager did not pay any attention to details as she rung us up. The rest of the interaction was absolutely terrible. We were given a printout with our delivery date and thanked for our business (as if we were done and expected to leave), but my husband had to ask for his card and if we needed to sign a receipt.... She then realized she had not even charged us yet. Oops. So, she charged our card, and gave us an actual receipt, and we left. In the parking lot, my husband noticed the delivery address on the paperwork is incorrect, even though she had asked for our updated address during the time she was scheduling the delivery, so he went back in the store to get that fixed. Again, once he returned to the car, I looked at the receipts, and we were charged $1799 for the mattress, after being told we could have it for $1600. So, AGAIN, my husband went back inside the store to get that fixed. He was told the price override did not go through, and was refunded $100. In the end, we were still charged $100 more than the agreed upon price. I felt lied to. She didn't even seem to bat an eye at it. By the time we FINALLY left, it was 3pm, we had to re-enter the store TWICE to fix mistakes the manager he made on our order, and we were still overcharged by $100. The customer service here is non existent. We came here looking for a kids bunk set. The sales lady had no idea what she was selling, and made faces when we let our kids try out the beds. With the lackluster customer service we were getting, we decided to leave instead. Most of the furniture here looked cheap and pine like. No interest. I had a way better experience at Sleep Train across the street. Even though they didn't have kids furniture, we actually found a great new mattress for my husband and I. We went in a few months ago and looked at beds. We didn't buy one but Dan was there, helpful and informative. We went back last night, got a lot of information from Dan again and since they were having a great sale, we took advantage of the free financing and bought a hybrid bed (coils and gel foam). It was delivered first thing this morning. Its exactly what we wanted and I am looking forward to going to bed tonight! I had a question and called the store and spoke to Dan this morning, got the answer I was looking for and got my bed made. I bought a bed frame and mattress from here not to long ago. They set it up so that people would come to my house and set my bed up for me. It's been two weeks and I've been noticing how my back is killing me and how my bed seems to be sinking in the middle. So I lifted up my mattress and I noticed the bottom part that holds my bed up, was missing a leg and the boards were bent. I called Mancini's Sleepworld and they sent out a person to come fix it (24 hours later!!!) and the people who got sent out to my house told me that it was the wrong frame for the bed. And that they "were shocked" that whoever set my bed up in the first place didn't say ANYTHING!!! So the guys who came to my house to set up my bed originally, put a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT frame on that wasn't even for my bed!!!! The guys said NOTHING even though the whole frame was missing a bunch of screws, missing a leg and wasn't bolted in correctly. That's why it felt so uncomfortable! I am so disappointed and will NOT be coming back here. read more

The customer service of this store and its management is inexcusable. While the 1 star is only for a quality product, their representation is not. Both Christina and Desiree speak to you as if their "doing you a favor". In their words, bending over backwards to offer us a deal. For one, you're in sales, so it is in your best interest to do so. You are not the only mattress store in town. Secondly, do not downplay my request for expecting quality service for what I paid. A customer spending any amount of money should be treated fairly and not with a condescending attitude. Furthermore, I should not have to call to find out that my order IS NOT being delivered on the day it was communicated. As a result of lack of communication by your company. I not only have made accommodations for the day it is supposed to arrive by, but I have to rearrange another whole day due to your mistake. And yet you play it down by insisting you did not promise it by a certain date. Excuse me?! Am I suppose to guess the day it should arrive and not go by what you tell me? I now no longer excuse the fact that in our first delivery, it arrived at 8pm. Well after my delivery timeframe. Lastly, when a customer requests the District Manager, Steve, to return a call that day and your only response is that it takes 24-48 hours for a call back; not acceptable (by the way your employees don't even know how to spell your last name). They don't have crib frames but I got a wonderful crib mattress and beautiful new furniture that my son will use until he moves out (hopefully!) And the customer service here is TOP NOTCH. these guys are the nicest group of people i swear! Since they don't have crib frames, Jason went online (without me telling him to) and found all of the stores I can go to nearby and find what I need. If ZERO stars was an option, that's what I would be giving. We walk in, and were greeted by Kristina. I wasn't sure her name, but at the end of our visit, she gave me her business card. I show her a picture of a mattress that I had found online on Costco.com. I don't know a huge deal about mattresses but this one was between firmer and softer. She quickly told us that they only sell old models and they didn't have any there. I was fine with that, but she walked away without asking us what we wanted and barely offering us any help. As we walk around the store, she sits at the counter and eats her lunch. She finally comes back to us asking if we need help, (at this point, we had made it thru the entire store) and she is open mouth chewing her lunch while she is talking to us. Before we could even ask questions, she points at one direction and says "the cheap mattresses are there." Long story short, we did not purchase anything here. She tried to tell us that if we didn't purchase right that second, she couldn't give us a deal later on, because she was doing this behind her managers back. Would not recommend this place. The worst customer service EVER. We ended up at SLEEP TRAIN & the customer service was amazing. read more

I was in and out in 45 minutes, even though Desiree was the only one working at the time. She handled 3 different families expertly, without ignoring any of us. She knew immediately which beds to show me that were within my budget, so making a decision was easy. She also helped me secure interest - free financing with a low monthly payment. On the day before delivery, and 3 times the next day, they contacted me regarding the specific delivery time. They arrived on time amd set up the bed in the blink of an eye. Wish I could give this place zero stars. Unfortunately, this is the second time we've had the same issues with the same lady. I wish we would've learned from the first horrible trip. The sales associate acted as though she didn't even care about making a sale. It was our second stop, and I wish we hadn't made it at all. When we were trying to voice our needs, she seemed annoyed that we weren't sure, as we haven't ever bought a new matress. Then, when she was leading us to the matresses to show us, she walked so far ahead of us that we lost her! The store REEKS of CHEAP FURNITURE. We have been to Mancini's Sleep World here in Tracy twice. Both times we have received excellent customer service and have been treated with respect. The first time we went and bought a $300 mattress and felt as if we were buying a $3,000 mattress. The sales associate took her time with us and showed us multiple options, she was kind and knowledgeable and helped us pick out exactly what we needed. The second time we went in we bought a $6,000 bed set. We were seen by the same sales associate and were again treated very well.
