While I am not staying at the Mandalay Bay hotel, I friends who are booked in the hotel. So, I am a friend with beach benefits. Mandalay Bay Beach is a 11-acre aquatic area where guests can relax, swim, splash around, and sunbathe to their heart's content. The popular wave pool adds an extra element of fun, creating a simulated ocean-like experience. For a more laid-back adventure, the Lazy River lets visitors float gently along the winding waterway, reminiscent of me tubing down the Guadalupe River in Texas. The beach area also features a tranquil lagoon lounge, providing a peaceful spot to unwind and sneak away. If you want to read, relax, or sunbathe, you can reserve one of the many private cabanas available throughout the property. Also, when you are ready for a food and beverage run, the Beach Bar & Grill offers food and drinks, while three additional bars serve a variety of adult beverages and non-alcoholic drinks. Please note that your bags will be searched before entering the pool area. Liked the extra bit of security for guests and friends of guests...

Fun we had a lot of fun. Sunscreen and hydrate everyone I can't stress how important that especially if you're a guest at the hotel take a break go back to the room for a bit then go back to the pool. Finding a place to sit wasn't difficult the servers are amazing I think we had Alicia maybe idk I had a few beverages but these ladies bust their butts out there in the heat please consider tipping properly. The pools were clean and cool we will be back next time we will go in shifts we over did it don't be like us lol

Get out there early! I'm a morning person and wanted to sit poolside with coffee at 9am each morning, so that was my jam. And I was surprised to see just as many people (well, towels) staking their claim of chairs. So again, get there by 10am if you want a good spot for your needs. We hung out at one of the lagoons (east? west?)... can't remember. All I know is that the other lagoon was closed all day. Maybe due to a shortage of life guards or waitstaff, but it did create a lot overflow into the one lagoon. You can order food/drinks at the counter stand or wait to flag down a server (and they come around pretty often). Clean restrooms onsite, a pool shop selling pool needs like swimmies, flip flops, sunscreen, etc. The only thing I ordered was an aperol spritz, and for some reason, the cocktail server brought me a big gulp size (instead of asking me for my pref). Def too big and not something I would have opted for.

Second time staying in Las Vegas this visit we decided to stay here at the Mandalay Bay....heard this spot had one of the best pools in the area. I am not a pool person, but my family is booo. (Just kidding) of course they enjoyed it. I just went for a tan. Anyway the cabana basic whatever that means starts at 500.00 bucks.... They have a lazy river but you have to buy the inner tube. I did see others bring your own and there is air stations for your convenience. This visit we didn't bother with it. You don't have to stay here to use the pool: Mandalay Bay Beach offers a limited number of day passes to non-registered hotel guests depending on availability. My family enjoyed it!!!

POOL OF ALL LAS VEGAS POOLS My friend had a medical conference at Mandalay Bay for two days in April. I swam twice here. During those two times I've never been as mesmerized with a Vegas pool like Mandalay Bay Beach. The Wave Pool with its sandy beach decor and man-made wave is unlike other pools at Vegas. You feel as if you are an actual beach when you're at the Wave Pool. I don't know how the Wave Pool is at summer, but I was surprised it wasn't as packed as I expected in April. That was a great thing for me as I could enjoy swimming in the Wave Pool without it cramped with people. The gutter at the side of the Wave Pool makes wave sounds that calm you. I've never felt as soothing when hearing the wave sounds while I swam in the Wave Pool. My second day at Mandalay Bay Beach I floated in the Lazy River. I didn't buy a swimming floats or tubes. The currents though not strong push you along. If I swam more at Mandalay Bay Beach I would have bought a swimming tube for the Lazy River. I went around the Lazy River once. After one loop I went back to the Wave Pool. If you stay at Mandalay Bay or W Las Vegas just to swim at Mandalay Bay Beach it is worth the stay. I think most people stay at Mandalay Bay because of Mandalay Bay Beach. When my friend had the medical conference at Mandalay Bay we stayed at W Las Vegas. I could stay at Mandalay Bay or W Las Vegas for a week just for Mandalay Bay Beach. The Wave Pool at Mandalay Bay Beach feels you are at another city besides Vegas. Every pool at Vegas is very much the same, but the Mandalay Bay Beach is "one of one".

Rude Bartender at the Grill! He thinks he can talk to people disrespectfully and totally disregard my mother whenever she was asking questions?!! Like what is wrong with you thinking it's okay to be rude to people like that. He's a very ugly representation of you Mandalay Bay and should be talking to guest the way he does!

Had an amazing time last Monday at the Mandalay Bay Beach with my family. There were 12 of us celebrating my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. We rented a cabana right by the beach and loved every thing about it. There was a sofa, table and chairs and lounge chair (both shaded and in sun). Our waitress was friendly and attentive she kept on checking on us and making sure we doing good. The food was ok, your typical pool bar good. The overall vibes were amazing and we truly had an awesome time.

Easy access to the pool from our hotel room, there are several pools to choose from including a lazy river

Okay I give it 4 stars been here many times for pool parties. Came here for Labor Day weekend for the LSU and USC pool party. It was a good time with my fam and friends!! The only thing I do not like is the lines if you want to buy a drink it was soo slow and unorganized. Otherwise it was a cool time at Mandalay beach. Very long walk to get to it but it was nice and spacious inside with cabanas! Reasonable ticket prices too for pool party! -Marshay D.

We were always curious about their lazy river, because we love us a good lazy river. Because we were staying at another casino, we paid for a day pass which is worth it if you're going to stay there for the day. Get there early and you'll have no problem getting a lounge chair. We tried the lazy river and it was small, but still fun and mostly for the kids. It took a while for them to start running the wave machine in the wave pool, but I guess when we hit quorum, we'd get a wave a minute and it was mild, but I guess they don't want people to die, so it was fun. In the morning it was cold, so getting in and out of the water at the end of March was cold, but it did get hotter later on, which was great, but it also meant you were burning because there aren't any umbrellas for the lounge chairs. It being cold also meant the hot tub was filled with children, so there was no way I was getting into that pee soup. It's a fun scene, but in spite of all the amenities, I probably won't come back. There are way too many kids and I'm an adults only type, so this isn't my scene. Nothing wrong with this place, but they need an adults only section to make this place slightly better.

Ask the Community - Mandalay Bay Beach

Is this a topless pool party?

Anyone know what is and isn't allowed in? I cannot find it on their site.

Bluetooth speakers and glass containers are not allowed in. It seemed like technically outside food and beverages were not allowed in either but I still saw people bringing in Starbucks. They will do a bag check

Which is a better location to rent a daybed for me and my GF? Moorea Beach Club or the Mandalay Beach on the sand?

Depends on where you want to be and what you want to do. The beach will give you a shady spot with your own chairs, right in the middle of all the fun stuff. Easy access to wave pool, lazy river, and other pools. Moorea is adult only and generally…

Can you bring in your own snacks? Can you bring in your own soft drink? Can you bring your own plastic water bottle?

No outside food or drinks allowed. Security checks bags upon entry

    How much is a cabana?

Prices vary depending on the day, busier summer season more expensive of course. Best to check the website first. I got ours on a Sat in July for $650 and that's the smaller 6 person one. Bigger ones go upwards of $1000. Weekdays and Sunday is less…

Is the pool open year round? If not when does it shut down?

From my 10 year experience - it depends on the weather. The specific temperature and projections on sun. I think wind matters more than rain, but overall the temperature is the key. So, it varies.

Can I rent a boogie board?

No. Only inner tubes for the lazy river.

Is it possible to pay to use the pool if staying at the Luxor?

Yes!! They have a non guest fee..... I believe is $35

How much does it cost to go to the wave pool?

    Free

Can I bring bottled water into the pool area and my ice bucke from my room?

As long as the bottle is plastic, you're probably fine. Ice bucket should stay in room.

How much does it cost to get into the pool if your not staying at the hotel?

As of this Spring, you will need a valid and current room key for access. There are 2-4 stadium like turnstiles at the pool entrance. They take your room card and insert it to check for valid status. Many have tried to use old cards after they…

Is wave pool open to anyone?

There's a height restriction of 48", but other than that, anyone can partake.

I appreciate the recommendation about bringing our own tubes for the lazy river, but I have seen MIXED answers about bringing in your own non-alcoholic drinks and own snacks? I understand about no glass. ANY CURRENT 2017 ANSWERS?

Yes you can bring your own tube and water- I just called today.

There are also three jacuzzis with one being bigger than the other two. The pool bar is also open and spacious with the restrooms on the left of the bar. There are plenty of free lawn chairs and a good amount of reserved seating as well. Cute servers walking around quite frequently for food and drink orders. Numerous life guards hanging out in their chairs ready for some action if neccessary. I enjoyed this quaint pool area very much because its not too huge and the BGM is not excessively loud. I will definitely be back for the jacuzzi and some more sunbathing.

Even though I was told the pool is heated, the water didn't feel as warm as I wanted it to be. I did appreciate that they had 2 life guards on duty for a pretty small pool. Since we're well into autumn and basically entering winter climate, only the Sky Pool was open when we visited (and 2 nearby jacuzzi pools) for all the hotel guests. Towels are up for grabs and readily available. There was plenty of seating (probably cuz it's not that warm) so we didn't need to reserve the large seats/cabanas for our large party.
