There is plenty of parking around and while it can get crowded, I have arrived late and never had an issue finding a spot. You'll leave wondering if you've ever even held a golf club before. The mats are like hitting off concrete, the balls look and feel like they've been soaking in a swamp since the Clinton administration, and the targets are so random you'll start questioning the laws of geometry. Seriously, this place could single-handedly ruin your short game, your long game, and your confidence. You might as well practice in your driveway with wiffle balls; at least you won't have to pay for the privilege of wrecking your swing. If you actually want to get better, save yourself the frustration and head to Stillwater Golf Course. Their range is everything Julington Park isn't: well-maintained, properly designed, and run by people who actually care about golfers. He made a HUGE paella which fed 60 very happy guests with a great portion. The week before, they called me to confirm and Juan, the owner, let me know that he would be the chef the day of our event. I warned him that my mother is a very picky woman that's from Spain and that he would have his work cut out for him to impress her. He said he would be up for that challenge as he's from Valencia and has been making paella all of his life. Fast forward to the wedding, when we arrive at the reception space and are greeted by the most amazing smell of paella being cooked. The guests were in awe as they watched the chef finish making his masterpiece before their eyes. I felt bad for the guy as the before mentioned picky Spanish woman had arrived and was standing over his shoulder waiting for her chance! Moment of truth comes and the matriarch of our family tries the paella. Never before have I seen this woman finish her entire meal!! She was so impressed! Phew!! The paella was amazing, and the owner is a delight. We will definitely use him again for future events. If you are looking for a great caterer that will wow your guests, this is it!
