I chose to see him because, honestly, I was going to get a free pair of glasses. I found him to be a little cold but overall, not a bad doctor. His assistant wasn't the best, but she did her job, I suppose. I wanted to return to him this year, so I made an appointment weeks ago for today. The receptionist I spoke to said he'd call me if he had a problem locating my insurance, however, I never received a call. Today, the receptionist called me an hour before my scheduled appointment, saying they couldn't find my insurance. I talked on the phone with them for about 15 minutes, yet they were not able to resolve the problem, and they said I could call my insurance company. How am I supposed to do this an hour before my appointment? Obviously, a little heated, I said this was ridiculous. They admitted it was their fault, but they said there was nothing they could do about it. Had they called a week ago, I would have gladly located the information for them, and there would have been no issue. But now there's certainly nothing I can do about it either - except to not return to the office and write this review. I see no reward in going back to this doctor's office, especially with my experience today.

He's very attentive about finding me the correct pair of glasses that work for my face frame and desires. Bottom line here is the service was very good exceeded expectations as in my adulthood I've learned to have less than zero faith and anything related to medical and doctors. How someone treats you is one of the most important things when you're shopping for something like prescription lenses and frames.

Dr Rosanova has equipment that most doctors don't have, enabling him to perform intricate repairs. It made such a big difference. He has many lenses to choose from after cataract surgery not the standard, one size fits all used by most vision doctors. Maybe not a "soft and fuzzy" kind of doctor but I'll take excellent results over sweet bedside manner every time.

The vision was fine after with the lens prescribed but within 3, 4 months noted a bit more straining to see signs clearly . I went back hoping to get the follow up appt . Not sure but thought 1 follow up was included with the exam .I went back on the 30th of June but Doc not available. Scheduled today the 2nd of July and was told that they would charge a whole new exam . Needless to say I was appalled by the option given to me . HMO requires every 2 years and current prescription was good for 6 more months . This practitioner is only in it for the money , I will be taking my business to JCP optical on New Haven .
