Zero stars! Florida eye institute in Melbourne FL! Do not go unless these are the last providers on…read morethe planet and you have the entire day to wait on the subpar service because they will keep you there all day. This review isn't going to hurt their take home pay... but if it thwarts one person away from this "institute" I will have fond my job. If lying through your teeth while saying, "they are bringing him back next" was an Olympic sport, this front desk would have gold medals. Then when you get to the back it is a continuous shuffling of more persons I wouldn't hire to clean out a barn stall with the first stop at a woman who had the personality of a donkey. To tell someone "they were next", "shouldn't be much longer" (and if you say something they take others in front of you in their sick power controlling behavior) so when you are there from 915 AM (after a 50 min drive!) then aren't leaning until 11:52 because they gaggle of girls saying "won't be much longer" now want to go to lunch so they can fuel up to start the Olympic sport of telling the afternoon crowd, "it shouldn't be too much longer". Oh... and I reached out to speak to an administrator, well you guessed it. No response! She must be the speaker at their covered dish luncheon explaining how to say "we don't give a d### about the patient's time or concerns" in new ways. "Shouldn't he to much longer", "they have his chart now", "we are short staffed today","equipment down"..... never the truth ! Never would you like to reappoint, never an apology! I hear the doctor is good here. 1:23 do one doctor doesn't balance out the 23 others on staff. Choose another eye doctor.

I was referred to Dr. Patricia LaFleur at the eye Institute for medicine and surgery. I was quite apprehensive as I have never had any type of eyelid surgery or eye. surgery or facial surgery before. I think that Dr. LaFleur was the nicest person I've ever met. Honestly. She put me at ease right away and was so kind and understanding, particularly given that I was a bit nervous. She answered all of my questions and was very patient with me. The surgery went extraordinarily well and it is as though the condition was never there to begin with. I was also concerned about the possibility of scarring at the incision site but I am so pleased to say that there's no evidence of scarring whatsoever. On another note, her assistants in the Office were also nice, friendly and polite. They were very professional and obviously everyone had a great deal of experience. The whole situation was as excellent as it possibly could be. If somebody else needs this kind of medical service and they live anywhere in the Melbourne, Suntree, or Rockledge area, take it from me, there's no need to travel all the way to Bascom Palmer or to mayo clinic. We're fortunate to have the best eyelid surgeon anywhere right here in Melbourne. Her name is Dr. Patricia LaFleur and she is a surgeon at the eye Institute for medicine and surgery.

This older fellow (88 years as it turns out) was giving Issac, who fits and orders glasses a very hard and loud time about upcoming charges, what to do next, how cold the office was, you name it. Issac was so pleasant and caring with the guy it made me take notice. When the questions shifted out of Issac's area he turned the guy over to Ruthie at the front desk. Ruthie displayed the patience of Job in helping the guy and had to make him an appointment for the following week. Fast forward a week, I'm waiting for my wife while she goes through another follow up appointment. You guessed it, in walks the old ballbuster. Once again both Ruthie and Issac display the same grace under fire that they had the week before. People in the service industry do not deserve to be treated the way these people were but it was so refreshing to see them take the abuse and insults with a smile knowing that it was not personal. Ruthie & Issac, good for you

Although Dr McManus is a good doctor the Tres Vision group is dishonest. I switched to Tres Vision…read moreGroup because Dr McManus had moved there. I have had the exact same exam with Dr. McManus for the past 5 years which is a yearly check up for age related medical issues. I have never paid for anything but my deductible as everything was covered by medicare. This time when I went the office staff said I owed $85 towards my medicare deductible for the year so i paid it because I knew my deductible was not yet fulfilled. Several months later when checking with my medicare I found out Tres Vision never billed medicare and my deductible went to another doctor's appointment. I went back to Tres Vision and spoke to the billing department and they told me I was put in as a self pay patient so the $85 covered that visit. I told them i have never been a self care patient and Medicare has paid for the same exam for the past 4 years so I wanted them to bill medicare and give me my $ back. They insisted medicare wouldn't cover it and it may cost me more but I insisted again so finally they relented and said they would bill medicare. I then received a record from medicare that they sent them $93 so I returned asking for my $ back. Tres Vision said they wouldn't give me my $ back because I had a refraction exam for glasses. I don't wear glasses and have never received a prescription for glasses and have had the same exam for 5 years in a row from Dr. Mcmanus so I didn't accept that explaination. The bottom line is I received 3 different stories from 3 employees of Tre Vision and I paid what they said was full payment of $85 for a (self pay) exam and then they received $93 from Medicare for the same exam and they would not refund me ANY of my $. I have canceled all future appointments with Tres Vision for myself and my husband due to their Dishonesty!!

But moving onward, I cannot state enough how very professional, and warm, and friendly, and caring the staff at the surgery center was to assist my husband who is so greatly in dire need to have his cataracts removed. The ladies went beyond expectations to help us and to reassure us of the procedure and choice of their institution. Truly the difference from the first encounter to the encounter today was like night and day. These ladies all exemplified the utmost professionalism and warmth from the greeting at the front door. to meeting with Stephanie, the nurse, then on for measurements to be taken by Sandy and Angela and then to finalize everything with most efficient scheduling coordinator Cortney (she handles the booking for four different doctors) and still took her time to make it feel personal with very clear directions. We just applaud each and everyone of them. Sometimes you run into rotten eggs but how very wonderful to be pleasantly surprised when the others turn out to be golden prize eggs. We greatly appreciate the efforts from a scheduler, Miss Deborah and especially Mrs. Santiago. John is now much more confident in believing that he is in the best care possible as a reflection from these fine ladies that we encountered today.

To prepare for my son's follow-up visit, I took time off from work on several occasions to visit specialists and have my son evaluated for ADHD. I faxed several pages of reports to the pediatrician's office weeks prior to my appointment (which I also took time off for) and Dr. McLeod never even read the reports prior to our follow-up visit 2 days ago. The clerical staff didn't even have my son's name correct in the database! Although I remained calm and professional during the visit, I feel very disrespected and and invalidated by the incompetence and apathy of this staff. I did everything they asked me to do with gathering evaluation data on my son's behalf, yet I was told by Dr. McLeod that the psychologist's report was "not comprehensive." I believe she profiled me due to the type of insurance I have. In the end, after 20 minutes of deliberation, she finally did write a script for medication, but I can't even get it filled because it's cost-prohibitive for my pharmacy. My advice to anyone using this pediatric outfit is to take notes on everything ANYONE tells you and get their names. Their protocols are arbitrary, and likely untruthful, as this is a classic case of the tail wagging the dog in an office environment where the employees do not take pride in their work.
