She trimmed the bottom nicely, but the "face framing" layers went from mid ear downward to my chin - pretty much opposite of what you'd expect from face framing layers. I have a tendency to blame myself or my hair for cuts that don't work, but definitely not the case with this bad cut. All I can do now is keep it in a ponytail or headband and wait for growth.

A woman with gorgeous curly hair was leaving as the stylist, (Cheryl Arterburn, I soon learned) sent her off with a smile and a wave. As someone with unruly curls, I stopped and commented on the hairstyle and Cheryl beckoned me in. She assessed my hair and we set an appointment for later that day. All I can say is "Wow!" The prior salon was supposed to do a balayage retouch but instead did way too heavy highlights with severe back combing. The back combing knotted my hair severely and when they went to comb it out they brushed it with a metal brush causing breakage and damage. After that I didn't do anything else to my hair for fear of further damage. My hair had never looked so terrible or unhealthy! I decided to give Raeanna a try and met with her for a consultation about 3 weeks ago. She suggested some damaged hair products for at home which I purchased and used. I also went in two weeks ago for a deep condition treatment. Today I went in for my new color and cut. It was AMAZING! Raeanna was so nice and so talented.
