I dropped in after seeing the shop sign expecting that I'd need to make an appointment, but Kim fit me right in. She listened, took a look at a photo I had, and gave me a fantastic haircut at a great price. My husband who was with me was a stylist and salon manager for 34 years. He normally tells me if a stylist is 'good', or 'don't go back to that one'. Kim on the other hand impressed him. When we left he said "I just loved watching her Precision Cut, her lines are straight, clean, no points. You don't see that skill in stylists anymore. She also textured your hair and did a fine job at that. And she listened, that's so important... That's your go to girl right there!" The shop is clean, and well sanitized (another of my husbands pet peeves) No unnecessary glitz & glam and no pressure to buy hair products that you won't use. I personally think that 40$ haircut is ridiculous - as you can tell i may or may not just moved here, but that was ridiculous. 40?! for a half men's HAIRCUT?? c'mon man that's just taking people's money, cause real hitters will charge 20, 25 MAYBE 30... 40??? The hospitality wasn't there , i had to wait outside for 25 minutes to while barber was not busy and just eating, i just think that for the price, the hospitality was not nearly matched to the price of a HALF haircut. When i asked why 40? he responded with "Youre paying for the quality!" Well, shii my shit better have looked like mount rushmore , and even that, still isn't worth 40. I kept asking and he had no other answer, and i think that was also wrong. i was genuinely upset cause i spent so much time trying to find a reliable barber as i'm just moving into the city. If you are okay very little hospitality and 40+ haircuts , and a pretty bomb wings place next door, this is YOUR SPOT.
