I booked a haircut and style with Tyler last minute for a work party and he was wonderful! The salon is small and cute and shares a parking lot with Honeybaked. Tyler was friendly and easy to talk to and I explained I had a work event that night and I was hoping he could style it so it would last for that. He sprayed every curl thoroughly and the curls held all night. I have been to several other salons over the years and was honestly shocked the whole thing was only $55. In this economy???? Please note, I haven't actually visited this place. I was not able to get an appointment. Because this is a spot that many hairdressers utilize independently, there is no central booking option. Not Vagaro, not on the website, and not by phone. I sent an email and also called. I was able to get a receptionist on the phone but because she was new was unable to assist. I was directed to contact the individual hairdressers via Instagram. This required me to follow their page before I could message them. Really, really inefficient. In the meantime, I was able to locate another salon and hairdresser via Vagaro and book an appointment. These professionals may be great, but having an easy way to book will get more clients. In this day and age, the instantaneous booking is the bar and this place doesn't meet it. It is a hurdle/challenge to just get an appointment. I am sure these people are nice and are probably good at what they do. read more

My third time getting my hair cut by Tyler and I left, once again, incredibly pleased. My second cut was a slightly shorter pixie from my first, and this one was even shorter. Scary! But I was feeling comfortable with the short hair, and most importantly, I trusted Tyler to give me good advice, which he absolutely did. I asked about going slightly shorter on the top as well and he talked me through my hair texture/density and how it would sit and of course he was 100% right because once it dried it was just the right length and I'm glad I didn't go shorter after all. I also have an industrial piercing that has been giving me grief (through no fault of my piercer, I just goofed with aftercare) and Tyler has expertly navigated and walked me through each haircut with no issues when I can't even put on a tshirt or comb my hair without messing myself up. Not to mention the interactions I've had with the other stylists have also been great. When complaining about my piercing, another stylist chimed in and she goes to the sister shop to my piercer and had great advice. Also, I'm always offered water or a drink, and the vibe is just so good all around. Every staff member I've interacted with has had great energy and is welcoming and warm. read more

I needed a makeover and a hair change and couldn't wait, I called in to see if someone could take me in and Carla Diaz didn't hesitate to help me. I went from brown to honey blonde just what I wanted not only did she do an amazing job, she was sweet and explained everything throughly she analyzed my hair and explained what was needed and what damage could happen if we used too much bleach. I just moved to San Diego and I needed a haircut. So I called this place to see if they had an opening. Luckily, they had some availability and I was able to get in quickly. It was my very first time at this place. I was welcomed & greeted by Chrissy as I walked in. The salon is very cute and clean. The people working there all had a good sense of energy so that was important to me. As soon as I sat down, I showed Chrissy a picture of the haircut I wanted and she was able to do it better than I expected. What I really liked is that she also recommended what she thought would look better and also considered your opinion and made sure you were happy with everything. Typically, I am always so hesitant trying a new hairstylist because of previous bad experience, but her positive energy, awesome skills, and passion for what she does assured me that I was in good hands. I have to say the hairstyles was nice , yet very pricey for the job I came out with I paid $200 for a hair color remover it did not even lift out my dark hair completely and then she painted my hair and only painted on some spots of the hair that were lifted my hair looks different colors. I wanted to speak to a receptionist about pricing for a cut with highlights and low lights for waist length hair, as i know it's not going to be cheap.
