I had a lengthy consultation where we reviewed multiple inspiration photos and discussed adding depth and dimension while maintaining a dimensional bronde look with lighter ends. My hair had become brassy and I just wanted to add low lights and some dimension. I showed many, many photos to make it clear what I wanted. Unfortunately, the final result was drastically different from what I requested. Much of the interior and underside of my hair was colored a very dark brunette tone, creating a flat, heavy appearance rather than the dimensional look shown in the photos we reviewed. The ends of my hair look completely black, nothing like the photos I showed. The issue wasn't that my hair became darker overall. I expected more depth and lowlights. The issue was that much of the brightness and dimension was lost, particularly underneath, leaving large sections of the hair looking like one solid dark color. To Cynthia's credit, she did offer to adjust the color by adding highlights and ultimately provided a full refund when I explained that I was no longer comfortable proceeding with additional processing since my first request was so misunderstood and poorly executed. While I appreciate her efforts to make things right afterward, the final result did not reflect the look we spent significant time discussing beforehand. I'm honestly still devastated. read more

I hate leaving negative reviews and honestly, I was just gonna let it go, but I need to get my hair done and I look in the mirror and get sick to my stomach about what happened last time I was there. The first time I went to see Atousa it was great. She understood that I didn't want to spend a small fortune on my hair and so we made a plan to blend my gray so I can extend my time between visits. The second time I came back, I was stuck waiting while she was babysitting someone's child, whatever that's fine. I needed a haircut and a touch up on my partial highlights. When I went to checkout the price was almost double what I paid a couple months before. I was shocked at the price and she started rattling off all this extra stuff she decided to do. I kept thinking, why didn't you ask me if I wanted that done? You knew I was cost-conscious. She did a bang trim on my daughter and charged $95. I was frustrated with her attitude so I just paid it and when I commented that I thought that was ridiculous for a bang trim. She gave me an attitude and looked at me inside so what do you want me to Venmo you back $45? That's still $50 for bang trim no thank you. I paid and could not get out of there fast enough. The haircut was good enough. The highlights were ok too. If she hadn't jacked the price on everything, I probably would go back but for the price she's charging I feel ripped off and won't be back. If I'm gonna pay that much to get my hair done, I will be at a nicer salon where I get offered a delicious cup of coffee and I don't have the flickering lights and babies crying. Also, adding in you have to pay for parking and do not book an appointment for Fridays because they have the farmers market and they have a bunch of parking blocked off so you have to circle the block trying to get a spot. read more

I booked a haircut and blowout for Friday but couldn't make it so I called and they were very sweet to accommodate me the next day, same time! I went in Saturday and it was very lively in there and felt very welcoming. They do have a wait area in the back if you are early.
