The Hair: I always purchase the Indian Yaki which has a bit of a relaxed, natural texture and everyone always assumes it's my real hair because it blends so well. It doesn't shed and I'm able to use it over and over again. Definitely the best hair I've ever had. I haven't tried any of the other types of hair, but they have a variety of different textures so I'm sure you can find one that works for you. Prices are a bit higher than average in my opinion, but you get what you pay for. It's worth it. Plus, you can reuse this hair multiple times without any problems. The customer derive is great! Better than any experience you will have walking into a normal beauty supply. No pressure- great knowledge. The female is blunt and honest with real install experience but the guy is much more knowledgeable about the hair overall. (I think it's his company) I would call ahead for gear you want tho... I went to make a second purchase and they didn't have what I needed. He told me it would be in tomorrow and that's ok. The hair I did purchase previous was 2x Brazilian 20" in deep curly. I bleached it and it did really well, the curls feel a little but that was expected. They didn't fall to waves, it was still a spiral curl pattern. No shedding no tangles. This is by far the best hair. I have been purchasing hair from Garvin for at least 5 years and it never disappoints. Tangle free and it can be reinstalled over and over. I never have to replace it because of looking old. I buy new hair for a different curl pattern. It can be worn naturally or straightened. It colors easily as well. Welp...been doing business with Mane Man for 6 yrs, and he has always honored his hair...until this purchase of "12 and 14 inch this past Sat, long story short I got a bad batch of hair that won't stop tangling/shedding(wefts not cut)even after bleaching/olaplex treatment, spoke with Garvin(owner) and all he could say was should have brought it in before coloring , well had you told me that in previous years on the occasion I got a bad bundle I would have so I wouldn't be out of $200!!! He offered a discount on one bundle, I can understand that as a business owner the objective is not to lose $$, but a loyal customer of 6 yrs buying this expensive hair and sending clients this is the best you could do?! I would have split it with him, but to be offered a discount of $40, you can keep it and your hair from this point on! Customer loyalty means a lot to me!!! read more

Other pros: (2) He sells hair that matches my natural 4a,b,or c hair. I bought Virgin Indian hair. The texture was wavy yaky. It hasn't been installed yet and I'll update the review if there are any surprises (!!!) but I like running my fingers through it already. It feels like my hair feels when it's pressed out so I believe it will be easy to blend. There was one customer when I went in and she seemed like a regular because she got some special treatment! I was recommended on February 22, 2017 to purchase hair from this establishment, I purchased 1 frontal closure and 2 bundles. As of today March 10, 2017 the hair has shed to the point that I am going to have to change out the frontal. I spoke with Garvin and he was in denial that the hair was just simple a bad batch. I love mane man hair. my mom and i both bought Indian curly (3 bundles 14, 16, 18) and a lace closure. The hair has a beautiful wave pattern and comes back when wet or straightened. I kept mine black and put a burgundy rinse on the ends and although it does dry out (typical curly hair dry out) if you get the leave in conditioner from, the boutique a little goes a long way and leaves it moisturized and soft. My mom dyed her hair blonde. The ends had to be trimmed because they got fried but the hair kept the wave pattern through it all. We will be getting our next hair from Mane Man. I will say make sure you look at the color of your hair when you buy it. He has different "browns" in the Indian hair so you could get a 1B or 4. read more

This is my first review ever, but I just had to be honest. I bought 3 bundles and a closure of Brazilian wave in mid-December and it has been a nightmare ever since. The hair sheds and leaves a trail where ever I go. I have been wearing virgin hair for years and have tried several companies but I would have to say this is by far the worst hair experience ever. The hair is very dry and tangles throughout the day. I did not dye, bleach or process this hair in anyway. I purchased this hair for a $200 special and see that sometimes you get what you pay for. Let me first start off by saying I don't write reviews unless I'm really trying to get a point across. I bought a closure and Brazilian bundle from the Dallas location. The hair was more expensive than other places I've bought from but I was in a bind and needed hair quickly. The bundle itself is pretty decent, but the closure piece is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I bought the closure in January buy mid-March I already had a lot of bald spots in the closure. My husband noticed that after I finished doing my hair, there was hair everywhere. I know it had the be from the closure or the bundle bc, I hadnt noticed hair everywhere, before the products for Mane Man were installed. The balding was so bad I had the put dark eyeshadow on the spots so you couldn't see it. I ended up buying another closure from a different place and when I get the Mane Man closure taken out today I plan on taking it up to show them how bad it was. I will see how they will handle the situation to decide if I'll buy hair (not closure) from them again. Please know that I take very good care of my hair. I wash it bi-weekly and wrap it in a scarf EVERY night. It's a real shame that this piece didn't last a full install cycle. I will update this review, once I speak with them. read more

I have been buying hair from here for about a year and half now and have never been so disappointed until now. The first time I purchased Indian kinky curly hair, and wore it for about 6 months and it was great, easy to manage, and always curled right back after washing. I then purchased more curly hair which was flawless, but in August this year I purchased some more hair which was 3 bundles of Indian natural curly and this hair is awful! I'm not sure if they changed their supplier or I just got a bad batch but the quality is totally different. After washing the hair once I had much shedding and ridiculous knots from tangling. No matter how much moisture I put on the hair it continuously dries out. The hair sheds all over my room and bathroom, and I also have big chunks of hair that came out every time I washed it. I can't even sleep one night with a satin cap without waking up where the hair isn't all matted and stuck together.
