We had passed this pizzeria numerous times while we were in Florence and finally stopped to have lunch. To our surprise the pizza was great and staff very friendly and service was fast. It's not a large place but is quick service if you have to wait it won't be long. We ordered one mixta salad and two small pizzas. The salad was full of artichoke hearts olives and a perfect balance to the lettuce. Since we shared the salad we just ordered two small pizzas and it was just enough. We ordered #13 and #14 one white and one red and we were both sorry we didn't order the larges since they were so good. The crust was thin and crispy and just enough toppings and sauce. This restaurant style is a semi self service, were you have table service to order but you get up and select your drinks and service wear. I will be back to try the rest of the menu. read more

We got lucky enough to get seats at the bar which I highly recommend. You get to talk to those making the food and see it happen right in front of you. Really helps to visualize the items on the menu and is cool to see it all happen right in front of you. We got the truffle/ham pizza, the spicy sausage pizza and the pesto pizza. They were all absolutely fantastic. Some of the best pesto I'd ever had along with amazing flavor on the spicy sausage. Awesome place quick hand made gourmet pizza for 10 euros. Had a beer cáprese salad and a pizza that was good for two.

Can't say enough about this place and the owner. Ordered the #2 with pesto and the one with sausage & mushrooms (#13?). The crust was fluffy on the edges and had a nice bit where it was smothered with the sauce and cheese. The bottom was crispy and light with a perfect amount of sauce as to not make it soggy. The owner was super personable and you can truly tell that he takes pride in his product and loves his city. After finishing our pizzas and chatting with him, he sliced us some of his meats because he didn't want us to leave without trying Florentine ham and salami. He shared why he felt those ingredients were so special and a little about where it was from. Food comes out quick, he takes time to talk to all the guests like they're family, and you can't beat the price for what you get. read more

This was one of my favorite pizza places that we ate at in Italy. We went in around 6pm. We sat at the bar and were able to make friends with the chef. He was super friendly and recommended some pizza for us. We had a tour to be at at seven, so we were pleasantly surprised that we were able to get fresh pizza and be out in under an hour. The pizza is incredible, and really affordable especially for the area. The chef recommended either coming in the evening, or right when they open as it's a tiny restaurant and he said the line can be over an hour long during the lunch rush. We experienced the best parts of Florence from museums to palaces, but this was by far the best memory we have. We sat at the bar and watched our pizza being made with fresh homemade ingredients. The guy making the pizza was pushing out pizzas crazy fast and all by hand. It was basically a show on the side of our dinner. Then when you get the pizza...the crust is crunchy and the toppings just melt in your mouth with the perfect mix of flavors. I can't rave enough about how amazing the food is here. My husband and I visited this place on a Wednesday around 2pm and there was just 1 open table. We ordered a margherita pizza and a spicy salami pizza (both large). We waited between 15-20 minutes for the food and when it arrived we were both very pleased. The crust was crispy on the edges and soft on the inside, my husbands spicy salami pizza was flavorful and delicious. My margherita pizza could've used more basil, but otherwise it was also delicious. The waiter was hospitable and checked on us a couple of times to make sure we didn't need anything. Yelp got this one right again. After visiting the Accademia Gallery and walking past the Piazza del Duomo, we came across this spot. While we enjoyed our lunch, met an American couple who also learned about this place from Yelp! Limited seating and standing to await an open seat can be 20-30 min at times. Our party of 3 had to be split up on a 2-top and 1 at the bar as most tables only sat 2 people. Can't remember the names of the pizzas that we had, but we were amazed by the fresh ingredients and how light the food tasted. It didn't have too much sauce or cheese that we are accustomed to in the States but instead felt more like a sandwich on warm flatbread. The staff is pretty cool - seems to be 2 relatives where 1 is the cook while the other is the server. Could be some lost in translation but server claims the cook was a finalist for top 10 pizza artists in Florence. read more

The part of my pizza dough that had toppings on it was pretty good, not excellent but tasty. The place is tiny, hot and messy... the bathrooms are very gross, piss filled toilet, no soap by the sink, the other sink doesn't work at all... My pizza was maybe only, 70% covered with toppings, the exposed dough is very dry and covered with so much flour trying to eat it sucks all the moisture out of your mouth. Service was slow, although the guy was very nice. I'd definitely try going there on off hours hoping for better quality control and a cleaner bathroom but I would avoid the place when busy. read more

Our meal was not very good here, but the service was so very friendly. Maybe it was just an off day! I hate to contradict all of the good reviews. The atmosphere is cute! It is in a small side street away from crowds of tourists, which is nice. The restaurant itself is actually quite small so people were waiting outside for tables. However, they were served bread while they waited. I thought this was kind. Again, great service. For lunch, we had an apple and walnut salad which was quite good and two pizzas. Mine with pesto and tomatoes, the other was margherita. The pizzas needed quite a bit more flavor and they were actually undercooked. I really didn't eat very much. So sad after all of the reviews!
