I'm scheduled for a service called an advanced short cut ($85) and the Curly Hair Styling Experience ($120) which totals over $200. It felt like we're off to a bad start. Her co-worker and styling collaborator, Allyssa, stepped up by doing the tapering and fading portion of the style while we waited for her to arrive but also missed the mark. Parking is complimentary at the garage down the street. That's a plus. We all discussed crucial hair care maintenance techniques that would enable me to independently manage my hair but they missed the mark. Nat advertises as a natural hair curl expert who possesses a large body of knowledge when it comes to natural hair care maintenance including product choices but fails to deliver. I would not have to pay this much for a haircut . I think location largely factors into price. The service is overcharged and undersold, Not recommended for black natural hair care.

The vibes are just right :) The girl I had an appointment with, Destinee, was running a bit behind (holidays, of course) but the experience was still great! When she was washing, treating and styling my hair, she made sure I knew what she was doing and why. I absolutely love when stylists do this! I have natural hair and got it pressed for the first time in years. Those with natural hair know how big of a deal this is! The entrance is the salon is a bit weird as it's in the back and not the store front you see as you drive in. I had Claudia as my stylist and she was super sweet and listened to what I wanted. She offered great tips of upkeep and how to easily maintain since I pretty much do nothing for my hair. In the end my haircut looked hair and looked healthy and silky. For shampoo, cut and blow dry, I paid $50. Which is a little on the high side for me but will probably come back for convenience. Don't forget to check in for $5 off!

When I reached out to have it fixed, the stylist (Jessica) attempted a "root touch-up," which only made things worse--the top half of my hair ended up a completely different color from the bottom, with strong orange tones. When I contacted the salon again, the director (Lisa Reule) was unapologetic and only offered for me to return a third time so they could "fix" it. At that point, I had lost all confidence in their ability and went to Mosaic Salon instead, where they were able to repair the damage. Mosaic has always done beautiful work for me, and this experience reminded me it's worth the extra drive to go somewhere with real expertise. I do not recommend InStyle Salon, but I highly recommend Mosaic for professional, consistent results.

English: This appointment was made for me and the quote was $45. I arrived on time and I was only supposed to be there for a quick wash, a small trim with face framing layers, and a dry. I just wanted my hair to look the same as the last time it was cut and KEEP THE LENGTH. The wash took over an hour, the cut was made too short and my hair was thinned out. My scalp was burned multiple times when he was blow drying it, and every time I would say it's too much he was cutting he would continue to cut more and more. I lost 4 inches of hair today. I attached a photo of right after I got my haircut 3 months ago and what this man did to me. I told him multiple times that I didn't like how it was looking and he told me that sometimes hair stylists know what's best even if it's different. I told him that I have naturally curly hair and he insisted that I didn't? How does he know better than me? I think this is extremely disrespectful to a customer that came to spend their money to not get what they ask for. I feel robbed. He made me feel bad for speaking up and I felt bullied by this man with the curly grey hair. He was one the phone the whole time with one of his friends, and was rude to me.
