Of all things to get at a Mexican establishment, I got the Poke Bowl, and it may very well be one of the best I have ever had. Hubs ordered the Chipotle Chicken Enchiladas and was very pleased with his choice. The food was great. The ambiance was great. The drinks were great. The parking lot is usually full, which always felt like a good sign. Well... after years of saying "maybe next time," we finally stopped in -- and we're glad we did. We were in town for a few days doing some work at our place and decided to try something new for dinner. I checked Yelp beforehand to see if they had a happy hour menu, and they did -- and it looked good. We arrived around 5:00 pm. There were only a few cars in the lot at that time, and the building (which used to be a Pizza Hut) is easy to spot. When we walked in, we were told to sit wherever we liked, so we headed straight to the bar. The bartender greeted us right away, gave us menus and waters, and made us feel welcome. Since it was our first visit, we had a lot of questions about the menu. The food seemed like a fusion of Asian and Korean flavors, and we weren't very familiar with it. She was fantastic patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. She even mentioned their Date Night special, which turned out to be a great deal. She made my wife an iced tea that was different than the usual but very good, and I had an Old Fashioned that was excellent. We decided on the Date Night Special, which is a prix fixe menu for two for $45. It includes one starter to share, a selection of small plates, each person choosing their own main from a list of six (two with a small upcharge), and a dessert to share. For our starter, we chose the Scallion Pancakes. They aren't really pancakes in the traditional sense -- more like a thinner batter that's deep-fried and served with two sauces. Both sauces were excellent, and the appetizer was a great way to start the meal. For our mains, my wife ordered the Bibimbap with chicken, and I had the Korean Fried Chicken (+$3). When they set the plates down in front of us, I looked at my wife and said, this looks really good -- why haven't we stopped here before? Her dish came in a shallow bowl with cucumbers in a sauce, thinly shaved carrots, kimchi, rice topped with an egg, and a piece of fried chicken with sauce. Mine came with coleslaw, fresh-cut French fries, and two chicken breasts covered in the same flavorful sauce. The chicken on both dishes was the same, and that sauce was outstanding. My first bite was literally, "Why have we passed this place so many times?" My wife loved everything on her plate, and I enjoyed every bite of mine as well. Our dessert, the Apple Crumble, came out before we were completely finished with our meals. This was really the only thing that could have been handled a little differently. Even though we didn't eat it right away, it was still good we just felt a bit rushed trying to finish our food so the dessert wouldn't get cold and the ice cream wouldn't melt. Overall, we found a new top-5 restaurant to eat at when we're in town. To top it all off, while sitting at the bar we were talking with a waiter named Logan. He asked where we were from and mentioned he had family there. It turned out he's a cousin of a friend who grew up with our son and was actually in our son's wedding. Just a few weeks earlier, they were all in Myrtle Beach for a bachelor party for his cousin. Small world! Don't be like us driving past for years and saying "maybe next time." Just stop in and give it a try. The food is wonderful, the service was great, and we will definitely be back.

I was disappointed that they had no enchiladas on the menu so I ordered the Molcajete. It's definitely large for one person so plan on bringing home a bag! The food was delicious. The only con was that the meats were not sliced all the way so you had to pull out a chunk to slice. I also feel the steak was a little tough to chew. The pineapple slices were unexpected but delicious. The food came out hot which was great. The chicken fajitas and the steak fajitas were also very good. If you order it with cheese, it's going to be melted in and the pineapple is cut up and mixed in which was unexpected and was the only downside. Hubby liked the shrimp bowl. All in all we had a great meal and would come again.

It had a loud country band and 7$ beers so I did not go back. But on the last night of our vacation, friends convinced us to stop by before we left the next day. But this is not what everyone else calls "Ocean Annie's." This is the indoor lounge, with a DJ booth stage and dance floor, along with lots of TV's and a decent size bar. Friday night at 9pm, this place was hopping! Karaoke was going strong (and already booked up). The only place to stand was on the dance floor, which led to lots of actual dancing even though the singing performances were what you might expect on a Friday night full of drinking tourists. Karaoke ended around 10:30 and then the "DANCE PARTY" started. DJ did a great job picking songs that kept the dance floor full. I did end up getting pawed by a few very drunk blond girls (highlight of the night for me.) Can't tell you what drinks cost, 'cause I didn't buy any. Friends had pitchers of "rum punch" and kept filling my glass. Looked like they had a couple of craft beers on tap. If you want people, music, noise and lots of commotion, come here. Tuna piled on, sauces working overtime, every bite doing its job. You could tell straight away they weren't cutting corners. Couple of draft Michelobs went down nicely, crisp, cold, no complaints there. The lady went for a Bloody Mary and swore by it. Said it had a bit of punch to it, which is exactly what you want. Still had a bit of room, so we went for the shark bites. And mate... absolute money. Light, crispy, seasoned just right. One of those plates where you keep reaching back in without thinking. Now here's where it gets interesting. We came back. Proper supper this time. Sat down, took it seriously. Started with the fried calamari. Nicely done, not rubbery, good crunch, does exactly what it should. Then the mains. Shrimp po' boy loaded up, proper seaside sandwich, messy in the best way. And the fried platter, shrimp, fish, oysters... the full spread. This is where they really showed out. Everything cooked right, nothing overdone, no shortcuts. Just solid seafood, done properly. Easily the best seafood we had in Myrtle Beach, and that's not something I say lightly. Some places are a one and done. This one had us coming back for a second go... and that tells you everything you need to know. Five stars. Proper job.
