    Massive fish sandwich

Had dinner here and it was good. The food was tasty we had the massive fish sandwich. The flavor was good but would have been much better grilled or blackened. You are not able to get it any other way but fried. My complaint would be it needs to be offered grilled as the crust from frying just pulls right off. The service was just ok, views couldn't be better sits on the beach which was very enjoyable! Overall not a bad place just wrong food selection.

7/26- Love this place! Staff is friendly, food is delicious, and drinks are cold. They have in and outside seating. Seldom wait lines. Drinks r a bit pricy but you're paying for the view!

10/10! Highly recommend if you're in the area! We came on a Sunday evening around 5pm and got seated right away. Beautiful water views all around. Our waitress was very kind and our drinks and food came out super quick. Also- the Poke Nachos are to die for! So so yummy!

The ambiance of this of place has to off the charts during the summer. We enjoyed the pier and the amazing view. I ordered the staple Cheeseburger and it was cooked very well. The fries were definitely the star of the show though. This place seems like a staple if you go Myrtle Beach and if you do you should treat it as such. The only negative was the rice my partner ordered, apparently is was kind of bland. Other than that you should definitely give this place a try if you're out here.

Food was great! Service was OUTSTANDING!! Ambiance was enticing. Our server Chaves was amazing! We came at the end of the night and his energy and service was wonderful! He treated us like one of his own! The prices for our dinner were very reasonable for the quality of the food! We were able to go to the enjoy the pier while dinner was being prepared. The whole experience was just relaxing and fantastic. Make this one of your stops while you're on vacation! It's well worth it.

The ambience of this place is off the scales. The day we came the wind, sun, and view were pristine. This is just how you would imagine a restaurant on a pier would look. Liz, our server was top notch. She gave us an excellent experience. Now let's talk about the food. I had the Pier 14 Crustacean with Blackened Fish. It came with Alfredo that all was on point. My wife had the fish salad that she said was excellent.

Excellent in every aspect. First visit and it didn't disappoint. The food was excellent, generous portions and tasty. The ambiance is perfect and according to the area. We sat outside and it was beautiful. The service was fantastic. Fast, attentive and gave great recommendations. We also walked the pier and it was beautiful. I definitely recommend it.

This had to be our best service experience so far out here in South Carolina. Our server was very polite and super attentive. I am very impressed with how fast we got our food and drink as well as how delicious it all was. The views were spectacular as this restaurant is nestled on a pier that overlooks the ocean. They have a gift shop and outdoor bar area that allows you to walk to the end of the pier. You can also purchase or bring your own fishing rods if you want to fish while here from the pier into the ocean. I ordered the tuna poke machine that were fresh and a very generous portion. I'm not partial to wasabi (yea I know it's weird cuz I love sushi) but the wasabi aioli they put in combo with the eel sauce was very very good and gave it a nice kick. To wash this down I ordered a frozen mixed drink called Lava Flow which tasted and looked very similar to a traditional Miami vice. It was so good I ordered a total of 3 at dinner and caught a happy little buzz. My entree was the seafood combo special with beer batter fried flounder, oysters and shrimp with fries. This was so good and the tartar / cocktail sauces added the nice contrast needed to break down the crispy savory food. Definitely recommend you guys check this place out!

This place was highly rated, so we decided to give it a try. However, I was a bit disappointed. The food was just okay. I got the Bang Bang Shrimp, Fries, and Hush Puppies! The Hush Puppies were the definite star of the show. Although, the first batch they brought out were all burnt. Our server Nick took them back and brought us another batch that were fried beautifully! The place had a very fishy smell. The atmosphere is very laidback and casual. The parking is crazy as we had to park a street over. Parking in most lots is $20 for 2 hours! We parked on a street meter and paid like $9.

This week is apparently spring break, but we were able to get a table on the patio of Pier 14 with a view of the beach/ocean and Boardwalk Ferris Wheel. We were seated right away for our late lunch with Natalia taking good care of us. Pier 14 is the type of place we seek out whenever we are near the ocean - casual dining on/near the beach. And bonus is a place that is dog friendly and they did a great job keeping the water bowl full. We also do our best to take in the local flavors and we started with a Basket of Hushpuppies and I ordered the Juicy Loosey Goosey cocktail (because of the ingredients but also because of the name). My husband doesn't usually like hushpuppies and he liked these. We were intrigued by the Pier 14 Fish Rueben sandwich with a side of macaroni and with Natalia's input we ordered the meal and both items were very good. The flavor of the macaroni salad was surprisingly very good. We finished up with their delicious Key Lime Pie. We appreciate that there are public beaches and restaurants on/near the beach.

Homemade pineapple upside down cake To die for

Excellent service by Kerry! Homemade macaroni salad was delish! The Bloody Mary and cheeseburger were perfect and the view!! Oh and the homemade upside down pineapple cake was to die for..... Def recommend

    Seafood Platter
    Trevis S.

We went for an early dinner and was seated immediately. Drink order was taken and promptly returned. Our food order was delivered within 10 minutes after we ordered. The seafood platter had 4 fantail shrimp, 4 oysters, 1 piece of white fish filet. Fries and slaw. The flounder plate consist of 1 piece of flounder (which is what we ordered) fries and slaw. The seafood plate was good, hot and small enough for all of it to be consumed. The flounder plate had no taste just a blah piece of fish. We like the restaurant because of it's location to our hotel and it's over the water. Has the ocean theme. It probably be a long time before we return.

It had a loud country band and 7$ beers so I did not go back. But on the last night of our vacation, friends convinced us to stop by before we left the next day. But this is not what everyone else calls "Ocean Annie's." This is the indoor lounge, with a DJ booth stage and dance floor, along with lots of TV's and a decent size bar. Friday night at 9pm, this place was hopping! Karaoke was going strong (and already booked up). The only place to stand was on the dance floor, which led to lots of actual dancing even though the singing performances were what you might expect on a Friday night full of drinking tourists. Karaoke ended around 10:30 and then the "DANCE PARTY" started. DJ did a great job picking songs that kept the dance floor full. I did end up getting pawed by a few very drunk blond girls (highlight of the night for me.) Can't tell you what drinks cost, 'cause I didn't buy any. Friends had pitchers of "rum punch" and kept filling my glass. Looked like they had a couple of craft beers on tap. If you want people, music, noise and lots of commotion, come here. Especially on Friday night - perhaps people want to hold onto that vacation feel one last night.

The parking lot is usually full, which always felt like a good sign. Well... after years of saying "maybe next time," we finally stopped in -- and we're glad we did. We were in town for a few days doing some work at our place and decided to try something new for dinner. I checked Yelp beforehand to see if they had a happy hour menu, and they did -- and it looked good. We arrived around 5:00 pm. There were only a few cars in the lot at that time, and the building (which used to be a Pizza Hut) is easy to spot. When we walked in, we were told to sit wherever we liked, so we headed straight to the bar. The bartender greeted us right away, gave us menus and waters, and made us feel welcome. Since it was our first visit, we had a lot of questions about the menu. The food seemed like a fusion of Asian and Korean flavors, and we weren't very familiar with it. She was fantastic patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. She even mentioned their Date Night special, which turned out to be a great deal. She made my wife an iced tea that was different than the usual but very good, and I had an Old Fashioned that was excellent. We decided on the Date Night Special, which is a prix fixe menu for two for $45. It includes one starter to share, a selection of small plates, each person choosing their own main from a list of six (two with a small upcharge), and a dessert to share. For our starter, we chose the Scallion Pancakes. They aren't really pancakes in the traditional sense -- more like a thinner batter that's deep-fried and served with two sauces. Both sauces were excellent, and the appetizer was a great way to start the meal. For our mains, my wife ordered the Bibimbap with chicken, and I had the Korean Fried Chicken (+$3). When they set the plates down in front of us, I looked at my wife and said, this looks really good -- why haven't we stopped here before? Her dish came in a shallow bowl with cucumbers in a sauce, thinly shaved carrots, kimchi, rice topped with an egg, and a piece of fried chicken with sauce. Mine came with coleslaw, fresh-cut French fries, and two chicken breasts covered in the same flavorful sauce. The chicken on both dishes was the same, and that sauce was outstanding. My first bite was literally, "Why have we passed this place so many times?" My wife loved everything on her plate, and I enjoyed every bite of mine as well. Our dessert, the Apple Crumble, came out before we were completely finished with our meals. This was really the only thing that could have been handled a little differently. Even though we didn't eat it right away, it was still good we just felt a bit rushed trying to finish our food so the dessert wouldn't get cold and the ice cream wouldn't melt. Overall, we found a new top-5 restaurant to eat at when we're in town. To top it all off, while sitting at the bar we were talking with a waiter named Logan. He asked where we were from and mentioned he had family there. It turned out he's a cousin of a friend who grew up with our son and was actually in our son's wedding. Just a few weeks earlier, they were all in Myrtle Beach for a bachelor party for his cousin. Small world! Don't be like us driving past for years and saying "maybe next time." Just stop in and give it a try. The food is wonderful, the service was great, and we will definitely be back.

Since it was my father's last night in North Myrtle Beach until September I thought it would be a great place to have our last dinner together for a while. I dialed up my app and made a 7PM reservation for three. We pulled in about 6:50 and found a spot right in front of the restaurant...it was going to be a good night. We got inside and chose to sit indoors near the bar. My father likes to see people and I felt this would be a good spot to do this and it was. The restaurant was mid century modern in design, airy and uncluttered...we were seated in a booth - chair combo that was a rendition of that style. We looked at the drink menu and my father went for a glass of Pinot Noir, his friend went for a lemon drop martini and I went for a Heineken 00. The waitress couldn't be nicer and quickly brought us our drinks. The lemon drop was perfect and served in an ice cold steel martini glass while my father was quite happy with his California Pinot. We reviewed the food menu and decided to share two "tables"...the deviled eggs and the pimento cheese dip with home made pork rinds. Within a few minutes, four deviled eggs arrived dressed up with a slice of jalapeño and sprinkled with bacon bits. A large plate of fresh pork rinds with homemade pimento cheese came out simultaneously. The deviled eggs were excellent with just the right texture and not too moist...the bacon bits added another layer of flavor and the jalapeño gave it a nice kick, however, the pork rinds and pimento cheese stole the show. The rinds were light and fluffy with just the right amount of crunch and the pimento cheese was superb...very flavorful with nice chunks of pimento and grated cheese. My father was diving in on the cheese so fast it was tough to get some. His lady friend also commented on how good it was. Next came the mains. My father settled in the American Waygu Burger with hand cut fries, I went for the lamb rack with string beans and roasted fingerling potatoes and the lady went for the Arugula salad with candied pecans, Granny Smith apples , goat cheese and craisins. My lamb was excellent...medium rare with a nice flavorful crust with a hint of garlic and herbs. The potatoes were well roasted and tasty while the string beans were cooked correctly but a tad bland. The arugula salad was delicious with a nice citrus dressing that played well with the candied pecans and craisins...the smith apples was a nice contrast. My father in the other hand, ate way too much pimento cheese and rinds and as a result just picked in his fries, which were excellent...salted well, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. He ended up taking the burger home. Amazingly, when dessert was brought up he was all in. Although known for their "Butter Cake" we decided to share(and by share I mean my father had about 90% of it) the Triple Layer Chocolate Cake. Turns out it's as good as it sounds...intense chocolate flavor in a very moist cake with vanilla ice cream and homemade whipped cream on the side...top notch. Sadly, it was getting late and my father had an early plane to catch so we got the bill(more reasonable than I expected), tipped the excellent waitress and said our good nights. We made plans to come back in September...although I'll be back well before that...Bar 19 Twelve will be going on my rotation.
