Coconut margaritas off the happy hour menu
    James D.

I've been here for happy hour a couple times now and both times its been relatively bustling. The food here is good and their happy hour pricing is very fair. 6 dollar coconut margs are nice and chips and chorizo queso for 6 bucks would be too, if you could get someone to bring you a chips refill. I subtracted two stars because on each of my trips here, the service has pretty much sucked. Both times our party was basically totally forgotten about...no refills on chips or waters and we had to go off elsewhere inside to flag someone down simply to get and then pay our bill. Unfortunately, this consistent shoddy service keeps me from returning in the future. Oh well, lots of other happy hours in Myrtle to enjoy, like Sol y Luna in Carolina Forest.

What a fabulous restaurant! It was our first time and we were blown away! The decor is amazing and the drinks, food and service were absolutely outstanding! If you're looking for a Mexican restaurant that's a bit more upscale, this is definitely the place!!!!

My family and I went down to Myrtle beach in November of last year and we found this place on Yelp. It was our favorite place we went to! It was a really nice ambiance. There was 10 of us in our party and that was no issue. It was more "upscale" Mexican food. I had a variety of tacos and my wife did as well. If we ever find ourselves down in Myrtle beach again we're going to make sure to come again

Not what I was expecting. Was a bit different than my regular Mexican joint. The short rib I got was very delicious. Granted there was only one so thank God we had chips and salsa to eat. Two bars here with typical spirits.

This was probably my favorite spot we ate at this past summer on vacation. We found out it's owned by another restaurant we love, Drift, and we knew this was going to be a bomb meal too. The space was huge and very upscale for Mexican food which I appreciated. Service was also great and that was hard to come by on our entire vacation so props to them. The food was amazing. Every single thing I ate was delicious. The street corn and ACP were faves. We also tried two desserts and I still think about them to this day. Their cocktail menu was also great, I wanted every margarita but obviously that wasn't possible. Just means this has to be a regular stop every year while on vacation which is great with me!

AFFORDABLE Mexican restaurant without compromising the aesthetics. Delicious cocktails and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Highly recommend coming for lunch -- one of the best price meals we had all trip and we all left pleasantly surprised & full.

My husband and I decided to try something during our visit to Myrtle Beach. Based on the reviews we decided why not and we weren't disappointed. To start nice salsa and ceviche and a very tasty watermelon mint margarita frozen and non-alcoholic drink. Al Pastor and fish tacos with refried beans and rice. To finish we had churro with vanilla ice cream. We enjoyed everything with tip about $80 check them out and oh the ambiance is very nice

Went for happy hour 4-7pm. Margarita's were amazing along with the carne asada tacos, mini quesadillas & queso! Service was fantastic! Really cool bar & vibe.

Came here for lunch because we were craving margaritas and Mexican and this place didn't disappoint! I love that they serve you chips ans salsa as a complimentary starter. There is a dress code however so beware of that - no tank tops, hats, etc. Our server was great, food came out quick, and the drinks and food we got were good! I'd definitely come back.

While in Myrtle Beach our family wanted Mexican so we decided to try Cantina Imperfecto, the salsa has a nice kick to it but tastes like spicy tomatoes. The queso tastes delicious, served warm. The frozen mango margarita with tajin on the rim was GREAT! The Paloma, teremania reposado tequila, lime juice, grapefruit soda and tajin on the rim was AMAZING!!! The Quesabirria Tacos were ok and the refried beans are bland but the rice was good. The Steak Fajitas were good and the meat is tender. The shrimp tacos were very flavorful. The service was great and staff was very friendly along with a clean ambiance.

No complaints ! From the moment we walked in, the upscale ambiance stood out... the decor was beautiful decor. Our waitress, Vera, was a delight--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We started with cocktails: a frozen spritzer and a margarita. Both were very tasty. They offer many cocktails! For dinner, we went for the shrimp and steak fajitas, which were sizzling and flavorful, and the spicy pasta dish, which was a delightful surprise. The pasta had the perfect kick, and the shrimp and steak were cooked to perfection. The flavors were fresh, vibrant, and had that "wow" factor. The restaurant has two bars, and we were lucky to snag a high-top table at the bar in the back. It's a great spot if you enjoy a more relaxed, lively vibe. The place gets busy, so reservations are definitely encouraged. In all, Cantina Imperfecto exceeded our expectations. Delicious food, stellar cocktails, and an inviting atmosphere make this a must-visit spot.

Cantina Imperfecto is a gem! The food , the drinks, the vibes.. all super perfecto! My husband and I frequently find ourselves there for date nights and always have a fantastic time. Drinks are the best in the area & the staff is very welcoming. We love to sit at the back bar when Dj is there but regardless it's enjoyable at any time/seat. We have tried just about every entree - tacos, tampiqueña, cantina burger, the Mole, and it's spectacular every single time. We will be back soon!

Some of the best Mexican food I've had in a LONG time. This place is a bit of a hidden gem but a very beautiful and unique one. As I said in a different review, Myrtle is upping their cuisine game and this is another example. Starting with the margaritas, the ingredients are fresh and they're huge!! Unique flavor combos. We ordered table-side guacamole for the table. I cannot stop thinking about it! I ordered Quesabirria Tacos for my main. They were delightful! Super cheesy and the rice was also tasty. Our waiter was attentive, quick, and gave great recommendations. I can't recommend this place enough!

    Chicken chimichanga! Amazing.

The parking lot is usually full, which always felt like a good sign. Well... after years of saying "maybe next time," we finally stopped in -- and we're glad we did. We were in town for a few days doing some work at our place and decided to try something new for dinner. I checked Yelp beforehand to see if they had a happy hour menu, and they did -- and it looked good. We arrived around 5:00 pm. There were only a few cars in the lot at that time, and the building (which used to be a Pizza Hut) is easy to spot. When we walked in, we were told to sit wherever we liked, so we headed straight to the bar. The bartender greeted us right away, gave us menus and waters, and made us feel welcome. Since it was our first visit, we had a lot of questions about the menu. The food seemed like a fusion of Asian and Korean flavors, and we weren't very familiar with it. She was fantastic patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful. She even mentioned their Date Night special, which turned out to be a great deal. She made my wife an iced tea that was different than the usual but very good, and I had an Old Fashioned that was excellent. We decided on the Date Night Special, which is a prix fixe menu for two for $45. It includes one starter to share, a selection of small plates, each person choosing their own main from a list of six (two with a small upcharge), and a dessert to share. For our starter, we chose the Scallion Pancakes. They aren't really pancakes in the traditional sense -- more like a thinner batter that's deep-fried and served with two sauces. Both sauces were excellent, and the appetizer was a great way to start the meal. For our mains, my wife ordered the Bibimbap with chicken, and I had the Korean Fried Chicken (+$3). When they set the plates down in front of us, I looked at my wife and said, this looks really good -- why haven't we stopped here before? Her dish came in a shallow bowl with cucumbers in a sauce, thinly shaved carrots, kimchi, rice topped with an egg, and a piece of fried chicken with sauce. Mine came with coleslaw, fresh-cut French fries, and two chicken breasts covered in the same flavorful sauce. The chicken on both dishes was the same, and that sauce was outstanding. My first bite was literally, "Why have we passed this place so many times?" My wife loved everything on her plate, and I enjoyed every bite of mine as well. Our dessert, the Apple Crumble, came out before we were completely finished with our meals. This was really the only thing that could have been handled a little differently. Even though we didn't eat it right away, it was still good we just felt a bit rushed trying to finish our food so the dessert wouldn't get cold and the ice cream wouldn't melt. Overall, we found a new top-5 restaurant to eat at when we're in town. To top it all off, while sitting at the bar we were talking with a waiter named Logan. He asked where we were from and mentioned he had family there. It turned out he's a cousin of a friend who grew up with our son and was actually in our son's wedding. Just a few weeks earlier, they were all in Myrtle Beach for a bachelor party for his cousin. Small world! Don't be like us driving past for years and saying "maybe next time." Just stop in and give it a try. The food is wonderful, the service was great, and we will definitely be back.

I've been to Bar 19 twelve for drinks before and have always been impressed by its modern decor,…read morelighted bar and excellent drink selection handled by professional bartenders. Since it was my father's last night in North Myrtle Beach until September I thought it would be a great place to have our last dinner together for a while. I dialed up my app and made a 7PM reservation for three. We pulled in about 6:50 and found a spot right in front of the restaurant...it was going to be a good night. We got inside and chose to sit indoors near the bar. My father likes to see people and I felt this would be a good spot to do this and it was. The restaurant was mid century modern in design, airy and uncluttered...we were seated in a booth - chair combo that was a rendition of that style. We looked at the drink menu and my father went for a glass of Pinot Noir, his friend went for a lemon drop martini and I went for a Heineken 00. The waitress couldn't be nicer and quickly brought us our drinks. The lemon drop was perfect and served in an ice cold steel martini glass while my father was quite happy with his California Pinot. We reviewed the food menu and decided to share two "tables"...the deviled eggs and the pimento cheese dip with home made pork rinds. Within a few minutes, four deviled eggs arrived dressed up with a slice of jalapeño and sprinkled with bacon bits. A large plate of fresh pork rinds with homemade pimento cheese came out simultaneously. The deviled eggs were excellent with just the right texture and not too moist...the bacon bits added another layer of flavor and the jalapeño gave it a nice kick, however, the pork rinds and pimento cheese stole the show. The rinds were light and fluffy with just the right amount of crunch and the pimento cheese was superb...very flavorful with nice chunks of pimento and grated cheese. My father was diving in on the cheese so fast it was tough to get some. His lady friend also commented on how good it was. Next came the mains. My father settled in the American Waygu Burger with hand cut fries, I went for the lamb rack with string beans and roasted fingerling potatoes and the lady went for the Arugula salad with candied pecans, Granny Smith apples , goat cheese and craisins. My lamb was excellent...medium rare with a nice flavorful crust with a hint of garlic and herbs. The potatoes were well roasted and tasty while the string beans were cooked correctly but a tad bland. The arugula salad was delicious with a nice citrus dressing that played well with the candied pecans and craisins...the smith apples was a nice contrast. My father in the other hand, ate way too much pimento cheese and rinds and as a result just picked in his fries, which were excellent...salted well, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. He ended up taking the burger home. Amazingly, when dessert was brought up he was all in. Although known for their "Butter Cake" we decided to share(and by share I mean my father had about 90% of it) the Triple Layer Chocolate Cake. Turns out it's as good as it sounds...intense chocolate flavor in a very moist cake with vanilla ice cream and homemade whipped cream on the side...top notch. Sadly, it was getting late and my father had an early plane to catch so we got the bill(more reasonable than I expected), tipped the excellent waitress and said our good nights. We made plans to come back in September...although I'll be back well before that...Bar 19 Twelve will be going on my rotation.

Tried this on our last trip and it was great! Fun place, great food. Definitely recommend!read more
