Pernil with white rice/red beans. Chicken with yellow rice/red beans. Platano Maduro
Jay N.

Best dominican food in the area. We had the chicken stew(perfect texture and very flavorful)with yellow rice and red beans(best beans I've had in tampa)... So delicious. Pernil(tons of flavor, juicy) with white rice and red beans was great. The staff was so welcoming and represented Dominican culture well. Happy we walked in before the rush(line out the door). The best part, cant beat the pricing for the quantity/quality of food. Definitely be back to try a dessert.

Oxtail with rice and beans. And a side of potatoes.
Jessica B.

The food is delicious. The workers are very sweet. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is that I ordered the oxtail special and was charged more than what the price was indicated on their board. There's also no menu to look at the food choices or prices, just the chalkboard with the specials when you walk in. Other than that, I would go again. You get a lot of food.

Breakfast Cuban

Breakfast sandwich is amazing!! Service was prompt and very professional. We will definitely be back

Some of the best Latin American food I've ever had. In sea of crummy chain restaurants, this is a real gem. The people there are so nice and will let you try things to decide what you want. The beans and veggies are vegetarian but they also have oxtail and incredible chicken. Highly recommend.

Amazing place with fresh great Spanish food and amazing friendly service. Came here because the ratings were so good and now I see why.

Delicious authentic Dominican food. The restaurant is clean and has authentic touches of Dominican Republic. It feels like home with the great service that was provided.

El Rincon Dominicano is an okay place, but there are certain things about this place that turned me…read moreoff completely. I wouldn't recommend coming in early for breakfast because they never have much of a variety and considering there's not much to begin with, you would think that the food available should be at its best quality and unfortunately, it's far from supurb. I ordered the chicken and a side salad and it tasted like leftovers -- chicken tasted alive and the salad was very cold, so much so I felt my teeth tingle! I had also ordered a Morir Soñando (2) and it was distasteful. After I expressed my feelings on the drinks, they were not taken off my bill and the waiters did not try and rectify the situation. On top of all that, the food we were served was horrible to begin with and I didn't even have a drink to chug all my unhappiness down. If you decide to go to this establishment after reading this review, so be it. Just know if you don't like something you ordered you will end up paying for it regardless of what you think. Happy eating! :)

Please DON'T waste your money here!!!! I order Oxtail and instead i got 3 (as you can see) pieces…read moreof it. I also ask for utensils and ended up using mine, also it clearly says that comes with "tomatoes and lettuce salad" 2nd picture and as you can see again there's none. So DISSATISFIED and this was my 2nd time buying (cuz I thought i was buying from another place) the first one was the same way even worse!!! It was a DELIVERY ORDER from uber eats and the 2nd one was a pick up and my God what a disappointment. Even the place stinks like CRAP!!! Like their Septic tank blew up or something! The taste on the meat was good on mine food but my husband's not so good honestly and the rest SUCK!! I ordered 2 different orders and was just a whole bunch of rise with like a tablespoon size of meat! Delivery fee and tips for nothing!! Smh!! Please don't waste your money here go to "LA CASA DEL CHIMI" and I PROMISE YOU, YOU WONT REGRET IT!

500 stars for this Columbian/Dominican restaurant! No, that's not a typo. The food is just THAT…read moregood! Open just two years, the hours are Mon & Tues 11:30 AM to 7 PM; Thurs/Fri/Sat 11:30 AM to 9 PM; & Sunday 11:30 AM to 5 PM. The restaurant is closed on Wed. A big fan of Oxtail, the tender Oxtail (Rabo Encendido Al Vino) @ $19.95 that arrived @ our table was soaking in a bath of special wine sauce. It was the BEST Oxtail I've EVER TASTED. I cannot wait to return for a second helping! The two sides I selected (rice & pinto beans) were unbelievably delicious-- so flavorful (see pic). The "Iconic Columbian Dish," which is Bandeja Paisa, @ $18.95 was also EXCELLENT. You MUST SEE THE PHOTO! It was a HUGE entree that consisted of bacon, grilled steak, rice, beans, fried egg, pork rind, chorizo, maduro, arepa, & avocado. (The steak was especially tender & delicious.) Be prepared to take home lots of leftovers! The Fried Calamari (Calamares) appetizer @ $10.95 was very good-- not at all chewy. The Yuca Fries included in it were GREAT, & the Sweet Plantains side was good. We are excited to Return & Return & Return so we can once again order the sides of rice & beans; try the Arepa Con Queso appetizer; the Stewed Goat; Milanesa Pork Loin; Grilled Skirt Steak; Yellow Rice w/ Chicken; & one or more of the five delicious-sounding Monfongos (a Puerto Rican plantain dish). Oh, & of course once again enjoy more Oxtail & the Iconic Columbian Dish! There are three desserts on the menu: Tres Leches; Flan de Leche; & Flan de Maracuya @ $4 to $4.50. Beverages include Columbian & American sodas; juices; Lemonade; Iced Tea; Bottled Water; 5 Coffees; 1 Tea; & Pony Malta (a nonalcoholic energy drink). There are DAILY LUNCH SPECIALS that range from $9.95 to $12.50. They include soup on Mon, Tues, Sat, & Sun; Stewed Chicken on Thurs; & Sautéed Beef/Chicken on Fri. (Tripe is the Sunday soup.) The dining room holds 10 tables; it was very clean. The interior decor is casual & comfortable, & the clientele is mainly from Columbia & Puerto Rico (according to Manager Fabian). We were the only Caucasians seated here @ the time. I am optimistic that once word speads about the quality of the food, more diners will choose to eat here. It's truly a SUPERIOR restaurant. Although the chef gets a loud round of applause for his immense talent, Manager Fabian was also impressive! I had never before seen a restaurant manager work so hard beside his staff. He was front & center assisting w/ every aspect of the business. He also took the time to approach every table to assure there were no customer concerns. Amazed w/ our food, we spoke w/ him at least three times. He answered our menu questions & checked on our service. Just an incredible person to manage a restaurant! There's no question we'll return! Five days later I finished my Oxtail w/ rice & beans. It all tasted just as DELICIOUS on Day 5 as it did the day I ordered it. That speaks VOLUMES!

The chicken was very good but I would not order the doughnuts and salad again. It was takeout so…read morecan't comment on service and ambiance.
