So after I ordered the meal I can tell that 2 things went wrong. The side of bbq sauce I requested was missing and my partner asked for brown rice and instead got white rice. So we ordered the empanada and that was deliciously good. Full of flavor. I got the toston with pork and the disappointing part about this was the fact that the toston was not fully fried was disappointing. There's parts that were in the middle of the stone that weren't crispy and I can tell just by the fact that I was cutting into it too easily. Even worse than the rice bowl. When you first start eating it it's pretty good because it's warm. For whatever odd reason it is, it tends to lose its temperature very very fast. It was way too soon and then it started to taste very bland in flavor. I couldn't even eat the rest we ended up throwing it out. My rating is 3.5 stars I ordered via Door Dash. Delivery was quick and everything was as requested. However, the food was cold and had to be reheated. After being packed it was delivered within 20 mins so the temperature it arrived it doesn't make sense. That complaint aside, the food was very tasty and all of the flavors complimented each other. Shredded Beef Rice Bowl- including small pieces of sweet plantains along with the cilantro lime sauce elevates this dish. I also included corn, tomatoes, lettuce and cheese. 5/5 Chicken Rice Bowl- the chicken was hard even after reheating. I included spinach, sweet plantains, tomatoes, corn, and cheese . The Jalapeño sauce added a very small kick to it and they were generous with the sauce. 4/5 Beef Empanada- after reheating it lost its crispiness. The beef was well seasoned and included olives and a yellow something (not sure what it was) . 4/5 Free Chips and Salsa- Chips were crispy but salt less and the salsa had the consistency of marinara sauce. My review is based on Door Dash and Uber eats. 3 for quality control but it gets 4.5 on food taste. Im a tad angry at the moment so i will keep this short. Angry at them for making me pay twice for my god damn lunch. If you order a group order or party of two and up? Do not trust this business. They don't verify that everything you order matches the actual physical ticket thats literally stapled to the same bag! So 1 or many of your friends and family will stay hungry. In this case? Its me. My other beef with them is the menu prices aren't honest. The bowls are 8 something but when u add a couple oz' s of protein they go up to 16$+ why not Just mark them at $16+ from the start!? 8$ bucks is a whole burger at mc d's. I got no beef with price total but it's hella misleading to do that. Then not make it and put in my order is enough for me to not ever order again. I may when i feel like it, do a walk in and see if this is something that they do all the time. Now i gotta rush my work to get lunch, if you gonna add your business to an Ordering app? You should keep quality of service and food at the same level. It's infuriating that they only refund n don't send what it owed. I was hopping since they screw me over on my meal. I was hopping the sides were gonna be legit. Nope another side with no bang. If i have to add spices to a meal or sides? Whats the point of paying someone to make u food? Wow I'm bummed out now. I cannot recommend this business to anybody wanting to do group orders or even lazy orders through apps. I can tell you that since i cannot review the rice bowl since they never freaking made it! That with the only things they gave me? Not worth it. I ordered delivery from here once because they had a bogo deal going on and I was like sure why not. LISTENNNN. This was so good it left me angry that I hadn't had it before. The yucca bites were insane and my coworkers and I probably talk about them every other day. Their bowls make chipotle look like cold canned tuna. Wow! This is some yummy food! We just happened to find Latin Bowl by searching Yelp while we were out. It's a fast, casual place but the food is a higher standard. They have a daily special for each day of the week including the weekend. We were there on a Sunday and it was 2 for $4 on empanadas. We got one chicken and one beef to try. These were good but my least favorite item. Both are very rich. I preferred the chicken to the beef. I got a rice bowl with shredded beef. It was huge! One cool add on is maduros as a topping. They were really tasty. The flavors of all the ingredients was scrumptious. I was very impressed with all the ingredients you can add at no extra cost. The price (around $10 for the shredded beef) is well worth it since you could eat 2-3 meals off of this bowl! I think I would have opted for the taco shell bowl if I had been eating it there. The shell bowl looked delicious but I was worried it would get soggy before I arrived home. My boyfriend got a toston platter with shredded pork. Also huge! He said it was delicious. I had too much myself to even taste it. We tried a loaded tamale. Very good, just to let everyone know, the tamale is traditional corn with no meat. If you want meat (shredded pork) get the loaded tamale. We also tried the Yucca Cheese bites. They gave us both avocado cilantro and guava dip for them. I was surprised but I preferred the guava dip. Yummy! The store is very clean and the employees very nice. It was a steady crowd. We had ordered online which was extremely easy. We went here and it was near to closing time. It was clean and the aroma of the food is in the air. It's a first time visit and so we ordered our food. The menu on the wall says the name of what can order with no description of quantity of items. Like 2 tacos or 3, and so on. It doesn't say spicy level, so we try and ask. I went into the Lumsden location today 10/20/25 only to be slapped in the face with the heavy smell of sewage which completely changed my mind about eating here. Needless to say, I used the bathroom before leaving only to discover there was NO toilet paper OR napkins anywhere in the single person bathroom. When I came out to ask for a contact to the corp office about this they barely spoke English and gave me a manager's phone number whom they advised also doesn't speak English. I asked if they have toilet paper that can be placed in the bathroom and was advised that they didn't have any AT ALL. And a young Spanish woman was actually working in there at the time(how unsanitary). Apparently she wasn't wiping after she went or just simply hoarding the toilet paper roll. I sent an email thru the website and the response had nothing to do with the issues that I outlined in my message to them. Instead, they replied about a Phantom order delivery and no mention about the strong sewage odor and non existent toilet paper/napkins in the building. I will be reaching out to the FL DBPR and DOH to report also since this went nowhere, in order for changes to be made. read more

I'm so happy that Latin Bowl is now in Brandon. I've been reading about it for a week now. Their original location is in Largo, but they're branching out which is great for our area. It's a build your own rice bowl, salad bowl, wrap, chalupas, or toston platter kind of place. Only it has a variety of Latin flavors and they actually grill your choice of protein while you wait. The seasoned pork smelled so good as they were grilling it. They also have extras such as filled tostones, empanadas, tamales, tostones, yucca cheese bites, and a jalapeño queso. I actually visited twice in 2 days. The first day I got the filled pork toston. It had great flavor! The pork was seasoned perfectly. The tostones were fresh and crispy. It looked like a jibarito, but this was more of a street version that has more flavor because of the added lime cilantro sauce. There was shredded lettuce, tomato, and mozzarella cheese as well. The pork was tender. It was so tasty! When I got to the bottom, the last toston had soaked in some of that sauce and pork seasoning and it was just the perfect ending. I love it, and I'll totally get it again. They also have a tostones platter which is like a nachos platter but with tostones. I'm getting that next time because it sounds like a larger version of the filled toston only with your choice of toppings. They have steak, chicken, ground beef, veggie, shredded beef, and shredded pork for the proteins. The base can be white rice, brown rice, or black beans (or a combination of rice & beans). They have tons of toppings such as these mini sweet plantains, lettuce, tomatoes, corn, cilantro, and many more. I went back the next day to try their rice bowl. I had brown rice with black beans as the base and topped it with maduros, tomatoes, avocado, mozzarella, cilantro, and the lime cilantro sauce. I was happy with all the flavors which blended perfectly. The steak was my protein. It was hot and fresh, but I actually like the shredded pork more than the steak. There are about 6 different sauces, but it's going to be difficult for me to deviate from that lime cilantro sauce. I crave that sauce now. Which means I'll be back for more. They also give you complimentary chips and salsa with each order. I was happy to see an extra lime cilantro container in my bag. That sauce is seriously good stuff. The only negative would be the flan. It's one of those Lila's Desserts from Miami. It was meh, because I'm used to homemade flan. If you don't know the difference, then you'll probably like it. But then again, you're not coming here for the flan. Other than that, everything was wonderful. The staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional. They all wore masks and the protocols were in place. The food is all covered and away from patrons. They have a case full of a variety of beverages including Jarritos. The also have a soda fountain. The restaurant is clean. They have a TV in the sitting area. You can dine in or take out. I didn't see an outdoor area. It's in the middle of the Aldi strip mall between Chick & Bones and Plato's Closet. There is plenty of parking. What more can I say? Oh, the prices are very reasonable and the food is fresh and flavorful. All reasons to come back for more. They will be having a grand opening next month, so watch for that. I'm so glad they are here in Brandon. read more

I like to order Latin Bowl from UberEats for a quick delivery and great prices. I always order the same thing the wrap (read: burrito) and the yucca bites. The wrap is hearty and can be filled to your liking. I like that they press it for a crispy tortilla wrap. It's the size of a small baby and they give you chips so it's a hearty meal!
