Absolutely 5-star customer service from beginning to end. I was greeted right away and clearly informed that he'd be with me shortly to take my order. He was very pleasant and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. He even double-checked my order before I left to ensure it was correct. My bagel was neatly placed in a bag with napkins included. small details that truly make a difference. Not every place takes the time to do these things, and it really stood out. Pulled up about 40 minutes before closing and the doors were locked. Two employees went to back, instead of opening door or even addressing the fact that I knocked on glass. I sat in my car in front of shop and they eventually came back out. Absolutely terrible. If the store closes at 3, no reason the doors should be LOCKED at 2:17. read more

If you want quick, and great tasting breakfast this is the place to go. The staff is fast to take your order and will always get it right. The muffins are also great and taste fresh every time. The coffee is easy to say was amazing only because I made it to my taste. Which is pretty cool, but at the same time I wish they had an option of them making it for me. Worst customer service ever! We order here for pick up from my job, about 5 lunch orders max and I tell the girl my order but she can't give me a total before I come in! How does that make sense? She tells me to estimate the prices added up? Umm isn't it your job to do that! There menu are also misleading. At some locations they have things that aren't at other locations. They should re do the menus based on each location to avoid confusion. read more

I ordered an Asiago roll with "over hard egg and bacon." They call this an egg sandwich?!? Looks like a bread sandwich to me. $5 dollar sandwich for bread 1 egg, 2 (maybe 3) pieces of bacon. My work bought a bunch of bagels and breakfast sandwiches to go and set them up in the break room. I decided to take a breakfast sandwich and it was a plain bagel with spinach, egg and cheese. It tasted great, bagel was fresh and it was nice and warm. Very good overall! read more

Manhattan Bagel is a chain with 65 franchises in 8 states, although there are none in Manhattan, or anywhere else in New York State. This is one of three located in Toms RIver, NJ. Bagels are offered in a multitude of flavors, the classic plain, salt, poppy, sesame, onion, pumpernickel, etc., plus a number of odd fruit flavors. The store also offers an extensive menu of hot breakfast and lunch sandwiches, coffee drinks, frappes, etc. I sampled three bagels here: salt, onion, and rye. Good bagels should be chewy, but not as a result of being underbaked, almost raw, with barely any color on the crust. These were pretty gross. The Manhattan Bagel closer to my home, in Westfield, NJ, does a better job with the baking. read more

Stopped in for breakfast and have eaten at other Manhattan Bagels. Out of 3 bagels orders they got all 3 wrong. They put cheese in an omelet when I asked for just spinach and mushrooms, mind you no mushrooms were in the omelet. The bagels were good NY/NJ style bagels. The sliced nova lox, however, were so cold they were almost frozen. Not good. Autumn roast coffee was tasty. Price is average. Service is confused. I live close by and I am here all the time. The food is very good and they make very good breakfast sandwiches. The bagels are very good and always seem to be fresh. The people that work here change a lot but everyone seems nice and do a great job. read more

My husband and I would come here every single Sunday for the past year for our bagel sandwiches but then within the past month or 2 we were bringing home barely cooked bacon on the bagels and very thin with almost nothing on it. This is the worst Manhattan bagel I've ever been to. I ordered the classic egg white sandwich and the girl asked me what was on it. She then proceeded to tell me they discontinued thin bagels, so I chose to get it on a regular one. Then as I sat down to eat, everyone else I was with had thin bagels and the other worker told us they could make any bagel thin. They also got the order wrong for someone else I was with. read more

This Manhattan Bagel is pretty good. The manager and all of the workers here are super friendly. The only thing is, the bagels here aren't as great as the location in Brick. The Brick location's bagels have more of a crunch to them. Everything else here is pretty great, but it would be nice if they could figure that part out! read more

I have always visited Manhattan bagels in Silverton, they are quick and easy. Today they had two high school girls working there, one was eating her bagel while the other one was litters lily flipping her hair putting it in a pony tail. Her hand then touching the bagels ....so gross! I had to walk out and go over to Silverton bagels. Sorry lost this customer. read more

Every time I go into this location the employees act like they are mad at the world and have very poor customer service. I prefer to go to the Brick location they are more friendly and do not make you feel like they are doing you a favor by serving you. However this poor service location is much closer to me. But after the 5th time of experiencing this I will never walk into this location again, or order for work purposes for employee recognition if I can persuade my boss against supporting them and my fellow employees, by any means I will. I love Manhattan Bagel products but this location gives the chain a bad name. read more
