Unfortunately the person preparing your food is also using the register to give you change without gloves. Then I went in there this past Sunday the person giving change and preparing your food had one glove on and was using the gloved hand for preparing the food and using the register. That I think is worst! Will not be going in there again. He had plenty of help that one person could be doing the register and the others the food. read more

We stopped in just for bagels but ended up eating a pork roll and cheese on a bagel. The sandwich was very good with 2 eggs and 3 slices of pork roll. I wish I took a picture of the sandwich, but I was hungry lol. The workers in there are very friendly and had an excellent attitude. The place is small but there is a few tables inside and outside. Loved this spot !! Food was great, service from owner and wife and two helpers was fantastic .. prices very reasonable and bagels delicious and fresh .. while I was there a young man came back in to pay because he left without paying . He got all the way home and realized his mistake and rode his bike back to pay his bill. He also left a nice tip! There are still good people all over this place !!! Needed breakfast and stopped in here for to go. Counter help was friendly and prices were reasonable. Daughter had two pancakes and bacon. I ate her leftovers and they were good. Could have used more syrup. Husband had some sort of egg platter and a decaf coffee. He ate everything and said the coffee was pretty good. I had everything bagel with veggie cream cheese toasted. It was toasted well done. I ate half and felt Full. Guess I'll eat the other half for breakfast tomorrow! read more

We've gotten breakfast food from here a few times. This was the first time we were ordering a sub. What we got was extremely disappointing considering this location has always been a deli/sub shop spot. Blindly ordered without thinking about it and man what a mistake. We picked up the order and noticed the bag seemed light but saw there was a sandwich in there. Got home and opened it to see what you would get if you ordered half a sub... except we ordered a whole. For the money this is so tiny compared to local competitors (and for NJ in general). Very disappointing. The breakfast food is ok, but again, there's better options in the area. Have meant to write a review for this place for last couple months. Recently changed hands and of all the great bagel places down the shore and around Point Pleasant & Brick, this has quickly risen to the top as our go to favorite! That's not a knock on the others, there are some really good ones we love, but Dave and team have truly mastered their craft here. First, the service both inside and on the phone for to go orders is second to none; always friendly, welcoming and treat everyone like a local. Coffee is really good, always hot and plenty of it. Second, their breakfast sandwiches and deli sandwiches are very good. Usually get a pork roll, bacon egg & cheese on toasted everything bagel and can barely finish it (most of the time my wife and I split it). For the most important part of the review, the bagels. Don't know what it is about the bagels but they are just perfect. Not too soft or crisp, right in between, big enough without being monster big. Could easily eat 3-4 everything bagels but I'd be even heavier than I already am. Always fresh, perfectly cooked, just the right amount of flavor and again, not too big. Normally I'm a more is better guy so bigger, the better. But with bagels, these are just the right size and the flavor is just unmatched. Def our spot to go to for bagels on the weekend; great selection of bagels and fresh schmears. Great service, even better food; inside is simple with a few tables as well as some tables outside if the weather is nice. Highly recommend trying this spot, have a feeling they will get busier and busier as people figure out they don't want to wait in line at some of the more well known bagel spots and figure out the quality here is just as good, if not better. read more

I have been meaning to write a review for Dave's for a while. I had been looking for a new bagel place and when Dave opened a few years back gave him a try, was happy I did. I like the fact that his bagels are "normal" size and not so doughy. They have that soft middle and exterior crunch. My husband loves the pork roll/egg/cheese sandwich, his go to. Prices normal for the area. Service friendly. I don't usually wait too long but that depends upon the crowd in the morning. The only thing they could do to improve their bagel is to put "seeds" on both sides of the bagel. There is usually a ton of poppy seeds that fall off so I just add them to the side that is unseeded. All and all DAVE's is most certainly worth a try. You won't be disappointed! read more

Living down the shore there are tons of bagel places to choose from, All Star Bagels by Dave is definitely a top spot. The place is clean, has seating and offers a nice selection of options to choose from. The guys were friendly and the food was cooked the way I ordered. I would definitely go back even at a 10-15 min drive from the house. Prices were good and would say if you want a breakfast or lunch sandwich gives these guys a try. read more

Just OK. Were trying to find a bagel place that rivals the always crowded Barrons Bagels on 88. Half the time we just drive on by, if the parking lot's crowded. But if you can get in, it's worth it. Barron's bagels are huge ,over 8 ounces,(yup, I weighed it) ,crusty and without a hole. Dave's, sadly, aren't like that. The bagel was flat, chewy, but without a crusty outside and had a larger than average hole in the middle. Which means whatever you put in the bagel will ooze out the hole. I hate that. These are the things that haunt me. Anyway, I don't buy overpriced sandwiches from the bagel places, I like to make my own. I know they depend on sandwiches as the main part of their profit, but sorry. read more

We just rented a house for 3 weeks a few blocks from All Star Bagel. We quickly became regulars. The food/bagels are good but the real standout is the service! Dave and his team provide the most amazing customer service. They greet you the minute you walk in the door. Fast service. Even though you order at the counter, they brought the food to our table. My son Harry walked there every morning for coffee because he felt so welcome! The bagels are outstanding and I highly recommend the Grand Slam breakfast sandwich! read more

Believe me when I say they have THE BEST bagels the area! We've tried many of their omelets too and they are all good. Our favorite is the Florentine. Love to sit outside and relax in the sun.
