I've had better bagels in Alabama. Everything I ordered was unfortunately awful. The bagels were overcooked and not fluffy at all. The cream cheese tasted like the Philadelphia baking block from the grocery store and my bagel was overloaded with it. Matcha was completely flavorless and watery. While visiting a friend in Manasquan, we walked over to All Star Bagels for breakfast on Sunday morning. There were a few people in line before us which gave us time to look over the menu and decide what we wanted. They have a pretty straightforward menu with typical bagels and some speciality sandwiches. They also offer hot and iced coffee, and a nitro cold brew that looked pretty enticing. I ordered the Grand Slam breakfast sandwich because it was a cheat day, and who doesn't love 6 slices of bacon and hash brown patties on their breakfast sandwich?! I also got a regular iced coffee. My boyfriend got the regular breakfast sandwich and added a hash brown too. Overall, the price was super reasonable (compared to what I'm used to in Philly). The food was fresh and delicious and only took about 10 minutes of waiting. My sandwich looked like it was quadruple the size of my boyfriends. Definitely worth the price!! read more

Stopped going for a year because they never could get my order right or lost it and the place became dirty. Decided to give them another try because close and convenient. Order bacon, egg and cheese on plain bagel from a girl that answered phone. She told me ready in 5 minutes. Arrived 15 minutes later and they had no such order. Milo the owner said no one called in that order. I got my phone a showed him. He couldn't explain but was accusing me of not actually ordering. Place is a disaster. Owner young kid blames customer instead of taking responsibility for poor customer service. Wanted this place to be good because it's local and convenient but the owner is arrogant and lacks credibility for poor customer service. Never going back this time! FYI, I personally reached out last year to Milo the owner with my complaint he tried to get me back with a $50 gift card. I turned it down because I wasn't look for money just wanted it to be good because convenient but never going back. Avoid if you don't want to be annoyed first thing in the morning. let me just say. my experience at all star bagel was ethereal. as someone who isn't from the jersey shore, and this bagel shop is my first impression of what nj has to offer, i am blown away. what really got me was not the food... it was the service. i had the sweetest young woman serve me... olive or olivia i believe her name was. she chatted me up and made me feel welcomed here at the shore. she gave me great suggestions on what to do here, worked efficiently, and went out of her way to be kind to a lad in need of a good bagel recommendation. i hope she gets promoted. read more

I'll keep it simple, three high school kids behind the counter, no sense of urgency, sense of direction, not sure if they have ever made sandwiches before. Things were going real slow the first seven or eight minutes until a man named Nick came from behind the wall and started to hustle big-time. I could write a lot more, but the simple story is that the sandwiches are poorly made. One slice of cheese on a cheese sandwich, one slice of bacon on a BLT, 20 minutes to make four total sandwiches, and we were the only ones in there for the first 10 minutes. Not sure how Nick is generating revenue to pay these kids, forget the overhead. Kids working there are clueless on how to make a sandwich, they need to hustle and pay attention and detail. read more

This establishment is a complete an utter disgrace. I ordered a breakfast bagel from here, I asked for a bacon eggs and cheese with a hashbrowns. The cost was 8.50 which is a little pricey to began with. Then I open it up when I get home and there is literally one egg and 2 skimpy pieces of bacon, with only one little hashbrowns on one side of the bagel. Then to top it off the entire bagel was covered in grease as if they toasted it on the same flat grill they cooked the bacon on. Fucking rookies, a breakfast sandwich is pretty easy to make.
