Yummy! Downtown Toms River is not usually a place that calls to me, but I was craving pho and as always it had to be somewhere new. Walking into the restaurant, the ambiance was nice. Not quite winter cozy, but it did not feel empty either. It struck a comfortable balance. The food was solid. The beef pho was delicious. I am not sure if I was just super hungry, but it definitely hit the spot. The chicken pho broth did not quite measure up. It was not bad, just not as rich or flavorful as the beef. There was a live singer, which was interesting. It probably would have fit better in a louder bar type environment rather than a relaxed pho spot. It was not a dealbreaker, just a bit unexpected. Service was prompt and they made sure we were taken care of. In fact, each waiter checked on us during their rounds, so we were probably triple checked every time. Attentive, to say the least. Pho in Tom's River is pretty good, who would have thought? I got the chicken pho and my partner got the beef rib pho. I wish the chicken pho had more of the pho spice taste but the broth of the beef pho was good. Perfect for the winter, I'd come back for a Viet craving if in the area! read more

My friend and I happened to be in the area and needed a place to eat late at night and I'm always down for pho on a cold, frigid night. So, pho it was! It was pretty empty when we got there on a Tuesday night other than another table and a serving robot. So was a bit worried, but as soon as I took my first bite of my food, all hesitation disappeared. Who would've thought there would be delicious pho in Tom's River? We ordered the Vietnamese egg rolls as appetizers (crispy egg rolls with pork, shrimp, and vegetables). They were crispy and packed with flavor. I could have sat there and ate a few dozen more. You know that the lettuce they give you with the fried egg rolls? I like to wrap the egg roll in it and then dip it into the sauce. It tastes so much better that way! Makes it less greasy, too. We also both ordered the oxtail pho. The soup was a bit sweet, something that I didn't expect, but the soup was really good - deep and flavorful. So much flavor in their food! But the star was the oxtail in this pho. So many pieces!!! And they grilled the oxtail so it was definitely an important factor in adding more in-depth flavor to the pho soup. If you're in the area, you should definitely check out this place. I'm confident that the other things you try will be good, too, based on what I tried. read more

Service friendly. Decor cute. Pho is good. I usually stay away from the meatball but theirs are flavorful and bit gummy. I love a good pho broth and the vegetable pho broth is delicious as well! I've been looking for a good pho please for a while and decided to go to this place. I had the shrimp pho, the spring rolls and the fried rice. The portions were great and the broth was amazing. The little restaurant is also very cute and when I went, there was not a lot of people because it was 8 o'clock and I believe they close at 9:30 the day that I went, but the experience was great.
