The Kettle is a great place to eat in MB!

I love Manhattan! The only problem is, everyone else does too! It's still a great place to spend the day or even just brunch, lunch dinner or a nice date! The beach is nice, the pier is fun and the town, though bustling on the weekends, is a great little beach town during the week. Great mom n pops, bars, and ice cream shops to help enjoy the day! Will always go back!

I've been riding my bicycle on the bike path to Manhattan Beach for many years. The view is always outstanding as you can see in my pictures. If you're in the area of Manhattan or Hermosa Beach, you definitely want to check out the PIERS because it's a beautiful beach ! If you sign up on the cities website, you'll find out about events such as volleyball tournaments, and everything else about the areas.

Beautiful Manhattan Beach plus an active pier where it allows visitors to stroll in the early awakened morning at dawn aka sunrise, late afternoon with the sun blazing heat, and late calm evening at dusk aka sunset. From a far, we saw a building at the end of the pier. My eldest daughter and I didn't get a chance to experience a walk on the pier as we were on a time crunch. From what I got from Google, it's an octagonal Mediterranean-style building housing the two story Roundhouse Aquarium. It's free to the public. We'll have to check out the pier and aquarium another time. Btw, parking is available. While the pier itself does not have on-site parking, several public parking lots are located close by. These include the Upper Pier Lots, Lower Pier Lots, and Lot 2. Check them out before heading over here. Here's a fun historical fact... "In 1995, the pier was declared a state historic landmark. It is the oldest standing concrete pier on the West Coast."

    Beach volleyball, anyone?

Walked down the pier today after breakfast. Steady wind with two surfers out on the waves, waiting to catch a big one. After the rain, the pier is clean and fresh with no fish odor like other piers I've visited. Very peaceful with lots of dog walkers, runners, and one lone fisherman at 8 on a Sunday morning.

One of my favorite beaches besides Santa Monica. Fun bar and restaurant scene, reasonable parking lots or street parking, ways to take in the beach scene and pier to stroll along on!

Don't go fishing there - and certainly do not eat :(

Manhattan Beach is almost always our first stop after arriving at LAX or when picking up a visitor. A quick 15 minute drive, park underground at the city center, eat at the Kettle and then stroll down the hill past all the intriguing shops, bars and eateries towards the pier. Magnificent views of the Pacific, the surfers and the beach community as far as the eye can see. Sit, enjoy and watch the world pass you by. On the way back up the hill on your right hand side consider buying an ice cream - delicious!!

Definitely one of the nicer beaches in LA county. The pier doesn't have all of the rides and attractions that like Santa Monica has but it definitely a whole lot nicer. There are a lot of volleyball courts if you want to go get play a game or two with family or friends. There are a lot of small shops, food, bars and coffee shops all along the coast of the beach. Parking is iffy. Lots of structures around the area but it will involve some walking and for sure a few hills on your way back to the car.

Nice short pier...at the end is the free aquarium. There's plenty of seats to people watch.

This is one of the better piers in Southern California. My wife and I spent a romantic evening watching the sunset and sharing some wine. It was clean, no graffiti and a robust police presence. The surf sounded lovely and the air smelled like the ocean. People were fishing, doing a little busking and selling ice cream. This is a textbook ocean pier and it felt safe even after the sun went down. Parking was easy and the weather was perfect. It's romantic heaven for lovers.

This is an historic and iconic pier, the oldest on the West Coast! It's nice that the main street, Manhattan Beach Blvd. ends by going right into the pier. The approach is very steep so if you're on a bike like me keep on the brakes and keep your eyes peeled for the congestion of cars, bikes and pedestrians. The views are amazing of Palos Verdes to the south and Pacific Palisades/Malibu to the north. I was able to have a very good view of the Palisades fire as well from the pier(sad but it was interesting, let's hope it never happens again). Recommended.

The beach!! OMG! CA girls are unpredictable and I am a CA girl in my heart of hearts. Coming back here for a visit was an absolute must. The palm trees, the sunshine, the sand, the water! Oh my it filled my heart with happiness. Unfortunately it was a quick visit to the beach and I was unable to go swimming but the water felt glorious. Parking is intensely challenging in this neighborhood but if you are patient you can get a spot. The air temperature is so much cooler by the water. There are public bathrooms and showers. And of course it's Manhattan Beach in LA! Beautiful! A path for bikes and one for walkers. The pier is beautiful to. Enjoy a walk over the crystal blue ocean. Love this place! SYOY.

Walked off dinner and a short walk to the pier where although the sunset was hidden by clouds, it still gave me a photo opportunity. Tip: if you need to use the restrooms I recommend the north side of the pier as the one at the end of the pier at the edge of the ocean close early.

It's a nicely kept pier that's peaceful and clean (the complete opposite of the busy Santa Monica pier but we'll save that for it's own review). There's no food available here but there's a clean restroom nearby that even has a shower. It's located along the strand so it's a great rest stop if you're walking the strip! As for parking, there's plenty of parking in lots near by along with street parking next to it.

There's a real chew here--a springy, structured bite that gives just enough resistance before yielding. It's deeply satisfying and makes every dish feel more intentional. The cappelloni shows it off best: that almost-famous sauce wraps around each piece, but the pasta holds its own, so you get that perfect balance of silky and structured. Same with the tangiello--the meat sauce tastes like it's been simmering for days, rich and layered, but the noodles never get lost because that chew carries through. The Caesar isn't an afterthought either. It's got a subtle spicy kick that wakes everything up, and if you add chicken, it's done right--well-seasoned, nicely grilled, juicy with a bit of char. It turns a classic into something you actually remember. Dinner is where things go a little heartier, and the pork chop delivers. Fall-off-the-bone tender, but still full of flavor--not just soft for the sake of it. Jame just gets the fundamentals right, then pushes a little further. I was impressed with the clean and modern look of Jane Enoteca from the moment I walked in. Their dishes consist of several handmade pastas, salads and Italian inspired comfort food. My friend and I chose to start our meals with the Meatballs and Brussels Sprouts. Being a Brussels Sprouts fan, I really enjoyed their roasted crispy Brussels sprouts that were tossed in schiaffoni dressing and finished with sesame. Equal in deliciousness were their Meatballs. The Meatballs were tender, rich and saucy. These starters were a great way to kick off our meal here. For our mains, we got their Paccheri Lisci and Tonnarelli. The Paccheri Lisci had a bit of a spicy kick to it. It has spicy pork sausage sugo, fennel, sage and pecorino. It was meaty and flavorful. The Tonnarelli or Cacio e Pepe contrasted nicely with the Paccheri Lisci. This pasta dish was simple, sharp and peppery. This was more bold versus saucy. Last but not least we had some cookies for dessert. I loved the fresh baked snickerdoodle and chocolate chip cookies. It was a sweet and perfect ending to the meal here. Overall, I really enjoyed dining at Jame Enoteca. I am now looking forward to trying out their sister restaurant Jame Taqueria down the street.

The pizza took a really long time to make considering there was only one other person waiting for their order.
