I want to address the response posted back, does not reflect my experience truthfully at all. There is no "we" , and it's just Kevin. Once more again. I made multiple efforts to communicate my work schedule in advance, yet I was repeatedly booked during times I had clearly stated I was unavailable; And would have to repeat myself constantly. This created ongoing conflicts that could have been avoided with more attentive and professional communication. I am willing to provide documentation of these interactions if needed, as transparency is important to me--especially for others considering this service. I decided to share my experience after noticing similar concerns from other reviewers I saw, which made me suggest this may not be an isolated issue. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this instructor to those who are looking for reliable scheduling, respectful communication, and professionalism. Seeing the response to my feedback not taking accountability or being able to take it in and wrongfully stating the situation to clear himself also raises concerns about how feedback is handled. please be very aware of this driving school horrible place to go to guy was distracted in his own shit basically with other customers I was waiting there with my son on time for his driving lesson and he said we were late because he was distracted wasting my minutes that I paid for and then now I got no refund. I let the license expire so had to go thru the entire process again. One lesson and got wrong information on things such as all way stop sign. Brake was so tight I couldn't stop without a jerking stop and I've driven tons of cars for many years. Frankly, if I had taken the road test I might've failed because of erratic braking which was virtually unavoidable...those brakes were really ridiculous! Driving every piece of garbage up to brand new cars since 1991, never had a set of brakes that preposterous. The instructor was telling me to avoid bumps in the road. Not huge craters, mind you. Any minor bumps and I couldn't help but thinking he's more concerned about his car and tho I'm experienced enough, filling the mind of an inexperienced 16 year old with "avoid the bumps" might not be the best or safest method. Then he refused to allow me to turn the wheels unless already in motion during the K turn...he said it creates unnecessary friction of the tires on the pavement. Definitely concerned for his car, but the entire process becomes starting from scratch and you don't need that a few days before your test. Also his way for the parallel parking was the only way, again all in motion, no stopping. Rigid, pedantic, ineffective teaching. Also trying to impress on me that he "had connections" with guys who sold used vehicles and how great he was etc etc etc. I really wasn't impressed and there was a shadiness to it. I failed my first road test. I went to Keshori, and he made me feel comfortable after a few lessons. Nice car for the road test and I passed the second time around. Keshori had 2 prior road test appts that day so including me we all passed. If three people pass in one day, I dont think you can doubt how much of a great instructor he is. I would advise not to go right out and try to take the test unless you have at least 50 hours behind the wheel and you're not nervous. Good Luck he's the best instructor. read more

Very disappointed with service for many reasons. Video content shown on the virtual 5 hour pre-licence class was often impossible to hear. I spoke up to inform the teacher of this and the rest of attendees agreed. But he brushed this away and continued to waste time playing videos no body could hear. Content was also extremely outdated. Then when it came to booking my test the service was extremely overpriced. $30 to book your test online!! This is something anyone can do by themselves in 2 minutes. I was told I would be brought for a 40 minute practice before my test but was only taken for 15 minutes, was given little to no guidance and was charged $50. The price then to accompany you to the test location is $80 (5 min drive away). Seems WAY OVERPRICED to me. Would not recommend. read more

Firstly, Patricia was my teacher and she was incredible. She was patient, understanding, and informative. She has nothing to do with this review though. I'd give her 5 stars alone. My issue is this offices utter apathy and laziness towards its clients. I've waited two weeks for them to schedule my road test. They either have not answered their phones, said they were with clients, or said they'd call back (they never once did). I had to come here myself to schedule my road test and guess what??? It says open but nobody is here and the door is locked. Efficient and caring they are not. Let's see if I ever get my test scheduled. read more

If you are going for the five hour pre-licensing course, good. But BEWARE. They will offer to schedule a test for you but will *not* tell you there is a fee for it until days before the test. They will also schedule you for a warm-up session, which sounds nice, but if unneeded, they will cancel that and your road test. This made me feel they kept my road test time ransom. Granted, there was an offer to call and help set an appointment, unfortunately I never got that call. It was only when I returned a call of confirmation and asked that they stated a fee. Again: BEWARE. You will be roped into paying for a service you did not ask for if all you need is the five hour course! What's also of mention is that - unlike other stated reviews - they neither offered to pick me up nor asked if I had a car. All that was stated was "you will meet us at the school at 1:30." Final word? Five hour course? Good. If that's all you want, state so very clearly. read more

Went here for my five hour and later was offered to reserve my roar test for a nice fee of $30 (it costs $10 TO RESERVE YOURSELF) I was told that if I reserved through them they would be able to get me a date 3 weeks earlier than I could reserve without them. It was a LIE literally a SCAM. The same dates they can reserve for you are the same ones you can reserve yourself for ($10) DONT FALL FOR IT. I called to speak to the instructor about and he was very rude and blew me off. read more

Stay away from this place. Alex was my instructor and he was the worst. On the 6th lesson, I asked that we please only practice parallel parking and broken u turns. He said sure...then we drove for 20 minutes, did two parallel parks, one broken u, and then he asked me to drive around for another 20 minutes. He also got me into a near accident just to avoid a pothole. He's very protective of his hybrid car and will grab the wheel to swerve me into the next lane so as to avoid any potholes that he thinks may damage his car. I almost hit the guy to my left because of this!!! Save your money and ask a friend or family member instead. My father in law spent two hours teaching me only parallel parking and I ended up passing the test in one shot. read more

I contacted this driving school back in July when I decided to drive and was googling driving schools in Yonkers. Picked this one because the rates were online and they were affordable! The five hour class is great and straightforward, though it gets packed quick on the weekends so be sure to get there thirty minutes before. You watch some videos and whoever is teaching it (I got Kevin) goes over the DMV manual and some questions. He's funny! Fast-forward a couple of days later to the actual lessons. I had Kevin for 7/8 of my lessons and he's an incredibly nice guy. I was an extremely novice driver with no experience at all. He'll pick you up and you'll drive around your neighborhood. The mistakes are discussed at the end for you to work on and consider (if you have someone else to train you, as I had my dad). He is also a busy guy, since he manages the driving school as well. But I do recommend him. For one of my lessons when he couldn't make it, I had Alex. Another really helpful instructor. Both he and Kevin, and the other instructors really, all have new cars. That's something not a lot of driving schools have. Manhattan Driving School gets a five stars from me, because guess what? i just got licensed today on my first try. :) read more

I will say this school is a must. I worked alongside Robert. He is a charming gentleman who loves his career in teaching others to drive. He was very direct, calm, very approachable, understanding, full of advice and most of all honest with you. When I first started working with him, I felt scared and unsure that I could do this. He gave me an awesome pep talk about having rights of the road and not to be scared of the wheel. If anyone that has any type of anxiety, fears or social anxiety please work with Robert. Best driving school in Westchester! Today Karen took me to my road test and I passed!! It was my first try too. Karen is an amazing teacher and very friendly. She never raised her voice and is so patient. She makes sure that you become a safe and confident driver. I took driving courses at least once a week with her since August and her driving lessons were very informative and straightforward. On the day of the road test, Karen tried to keep me calm by talking about other things other than trying to pass the road test. I was a nervous wreck when i started and the driving instructor took advantage of that and would waste our 45 minute driving class on taking breaks and having flirtatious conversations. I paid $500 for 10 lessons and the 5 hour course. Kevin was my driving instructor. Out of a 45 minute driving lesson, every lesson lasted 30 minutes or less. Additionally, he did not teach the rules of the road. After 5 lessons (right and left turns within the same 5 block circumstance) as he spoke on his cell phone to other students, I asked to practice a 3 point turn. Additionally, Kevin's schedule is not accommodating to paying students as he flies to FL every other week to teach there. I switched to Robert (driving instructor) who was much better. I cancelled the next appointment within 24 hours and they are trying to charge me for the lesson (as a missed lesson). read more
