Recently had an appt with Dr. Lee - the front office staff were better efficient and timely. I appreciated that directions were clear and the waiting room is comfortable. Dr. Lee has a great bedside manner and was very detailed in her questioning. I felt like she didn't dismiss my concerns as some doctors can. I had a really great experience here. Not sure if the doctors here are in-house. But the doctors and nurses that helped me were great. Madonna and Sue were great. Christopher, who ran the front desk, was very cheerful for the morning, I really needed this because I was a wreck. Getting here was a breeze to the train. It isn't too far if you're taking the 6 train uptown to 86th street. The waiting room was rather large. I expected this location to be busy, and it wasn't. **Edit - I saw Dr. Yoon in NYC, not SF** I'm not usually the type to write negative reviews and with a mom as a nurse practitioner, I understand how difficult and busy the occupation is. However, I had a very time consuming, expensive and unprofessional interaction with Dr. Eric Yoon at this practice. I came in with family history of Celiac and made sure this was the focus of our appointment. I'd been experiencing GI symptoms, so I figured I'd finally do the blood test. I told Dr. Yoon of my concern and we recommended we do bloodwork. The day before I was due to come in for blood work, I reviewed Dr. Yoon's lab orders and discovered he had called in other generic labs, but had left off the Celiac test. I messaged him on the portal and he promptly got back to me - I was surprised he seemed confused by my request but said that he would call it in for my bloodwork appointment the following day. The next day, I left work early and again confirmed with the nurse doing my bloodwork that I was being tested specifically for Celiac. TL;DR: I get my results a week later and no Celiac result - I reach out to Dr. Yoon and he submits a secondary request through LabCorp and tries to pass it off as them being delayed (not realizing I'm very familiar with calling the lab after a week or two and asking for additional tests on the same sample). LabCorp had understandably discarded my sample so no Celiac result for me. Simple put, Dr. Yoon is young, inexperienced and lacks attention to detail. Unless you'd like to leave work early two days in a row, pay a copay and pay for labwork that tells you that your vitals are fine (which I'm well aware of in my mid-20s), I'd recommend that you entrust someone else with your care.Edit read more

The distance was totally irrelevant in my case.It felt very unwelcoming and like I was bothering him. I had an appointment with Dr Eric Yoon. My files were sent over from my previous doctor, yet he had not read them prior to my entering his office. He literally said to me, "I guess I should have read these already." and proceeded to read them in front of me. His receptionist gave me a list of facilities to get some tests done. The list looked like it had been photocopied 45 times. Blurry and off center. What doctor's office hands their patients paperwork like this? I went to one of the facilities listed and they no longer provide the service listed on their paperwork, so not only is the list a visual mess, but it's not even accurate. I cancelled my next appointment. I'm seeking help, so why on earth would I return to this facility that clearly does not care about my well being? read more

They booked me for an automatic follow-up visit I did not need since my test results were already mailed to me. I called and asked to combine it with a follow-up exam and procedure and the office told me they had booked it. I went and was charged a $50 copay just to walk into the doctor's office and be told he did not do procedures at that location and was already booked that day so could not do an exam either. Said I would have to book a separate appointment. They refused to refund my copay I paid for no reason or to waive the copay for the rescheduled visit even though they are the ones who messed up. According to them since I met with the doctor then I have to be charged even though they charged me before I met with the doctor under the false pretense he was going to actually do an exam and procedure. Will go back to NYU Langone. They never tried to rip me off. Also when you check in to the 17th street location they make you say out loud in front of everyone what procedure you are having which is totally gross and a violation of Dr Patient privacy. Mikhail Yakubov wanted to use colonoscopy to diagnose what was basically a gluten allergy. After doing much research on Pubmed and a DNA genetic test, we realized the issue was a gluten allergy. This is something that we were never told about as a possibility. Its really shocking that he wanted to perform a colonoscopy (and tried to sell one using the rhetoric of a used car sale's man) before even asking if anyone could have a gluten allergy. I can't say I'm surprised considering the website brags about diagnosing someone with gastritis using endoscopy. In sum, if you love unnecessary medical tests and want to spend alot of money you should come here. I will thank this practice for making me very wary of all future medical tests. I did alot of digging and I'd recommend everyone check out the current research on endoscopy and colonoscopy using Pubmed before making healthcare decisions. read more

Dr. Tsynman is so great. After seeing him as a second opinion he was able to put to rest my prior diagnosis of IBS, and did the proper testing to determine I actually have Chron's disease. He is very nice and has great bedside manor, I just think he is a very smart doctor. Would recommend him fully. The facility is also very nice, I was always seen on time. My primary care doctor was lovely, but the front staff is awful. I called with a medical problem that needed a specialist and a sonogram and they instead put me with a primary care doctor who couldn't really help me. She was super nice, but not the right person. This just goes to show that the front of house is so important and that they should immediately replace them. Nothing about going to get an intestinal inspection gets me excited but I'm actually obsessed with this place. First off, the office is really clean and sleek and the ladies at the front desk (Sam and Kai) are hilarious. They made me welcome right away and we became instant friends. Minimal paperwork, quick check in, and I saw my doctor almost right away. Now for Dr. Tsynman, he is incredible and I honestly wish I saw him sooner. He took my entire medical history, listened intently, really engaged with me as a person, and showed genuine concern and care for my well being. Now this shouldn't be revolutionary, but it's really nice to be treated like a person as opposed to a number. After taking my history, he brought me to a fancy screen and showed me this interactive diagram of what he was going to do for my procedure. He answered all of my questions, was thorough, and got me a follow up appointment for next week. Definitely worth the trip from Brooklyn to visit this office! read more

I never made an appointment because I was turned off by the chat rep. I went on the website and immediately a window opened asking me to chat. I agreed and the first thing the person asked was what was my name and location. I replied with my first name and zip code and then asked if they perform a certain procedure. It was clear she had never heard of the procedure and then asked for my phone number and location. I had already given my zip code. Did she want my address? For what? And my phone? I said I was not comfortable giving my phone number in a chat and asked if they took insurance. She replied that that they valued people's privacy and she didn't know if they took insurance. What??? Seriously? What is the purpose of this chat? Then she asked if I wanted them to contact me. I said I would call tomorrow and she asked if I wanted them to email me. I truly think the chat is just a way to get people's contact information so they can hound you to become a customer buy their supplements or procedures. I will not go to this place. read more

Dr Tsynman is only interested in making money. He will never call you with any test results. Nor does he care about his patient's health. You need to see him in person to get any test results. Performed an endoscopy on me, found some inflammation, said he'll tell me the do's and donts. NEVER called back. The receptionist says he only talks if you come in. Doesn't even release test results without a face to face! NOT EVEN for stool tests! Rude and money minded. Go to Dr. Bradley Connor - simply incredible! read more

These people will perform tests on you and you will have to call and harass them for results for simple things that take a 24-48 hours and they will tell you 2 weeks and then never call you. Dr. Dann was attentive and seemingly thorough. Bedside manner is fine and he seem knowledgeable enough. However, I would caution everyone to avoid getting ultrasounds done here. They may be money-makers for the office, but you will wait much longer than you would have to otherwise for the results. I was told by the doctor and the technician that I would get my ultrasound results in 2 to 3 days, which is why I had my ultrasound done there. After waiting for more than one week and complaining, the front desk was told by the ultrasound technician that due to them getting a new technician it would now take 2 to 3 weeks. When you feel like crap and are desperate for answers, being told 2 to 3 days initially and then having them change their estimate to 2 to 3 weeks is extremely frustrating. I've had ultrasounds before and they never take that long. My sense is that the office is trying to cover up for their incompetence. (It should be noted that the day before the staff acknowledged that the ultrasound was overdue, apologized and told me that they would request that it be expedited to avoid any further delay). Not only is that unprofessional, but it also undermines the patient's trust. In short, Dr. Dann is OK. But avoid having your tests done there because his staff and the network of people that he works with are unreliable and unprofessional, which is extremely disappointing. read more

Very shady insurance practices, and incredibly disrespectful to patients. After not only calling to confirm in-network insurance coverage over the phone with receptionist (a VERY open/flexible Aetna PPO plan), but also sending it in via email, the office tried to pull a bait and switch to scam "out of network" rates. They would have gotten away with it, too, if I hadn't added an "in network only" clause on the admit form (lesson learned from past scams). Hugely disrespectful waste of my time, and leaves a clear scamming distaste. Definitely suggest going elsewhere. Really sad that they would play games with prospective patients like that. read more

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! This is my very first yelp review and I'm only writing it because I feel so passionately about this issue. Dr Michael Dann was a complete jerk to me and seemingly cares very little about his patients. 1) while at his office, I overheard him making a really rude joke (I'm certainly hoping it was a joke) about a patient being 'old anyway' and how it 'didn't matter' what happened. First red flag! 2) during the visit, he wasn't interested in listening at all, did all he could to bulldoze through the appointment after a cursory exam and essentially ran me out of the door. Rude! 3) after calling for a solid week requesting the results to my labs, he finally returned my calls and started the conversation by saying 'I get hundreds of lab results and it's impractical for me to call every patient who wants to understand those results'. Umm.. what!? I'm the patient who is paying to be treated and you're saying you don't have time? How is that MY problem? If you don't have time to treat me, don't take my money, and let me go get help someplace else Doc! 4) when I told him that I had left several messages requesting a callback, he responded by saying that I couldn't have called because his office would have told him. So I guess I'm lying?? Sheesh! What happened to, 'I'm sorry you didn't get a callback.' Or even, 'I'm sorry, I've had a busy week, how can I help you?' ? Ev Anyway, for those looking for a gastroenterologist who actually gives a damn, I say look elsewhere. read more

After a month of having a bad feeling in my stomach, I finally called Dr. Khodadadian. He was able to see me very quickly and made me feel very comfortable. He told me what I might possibly have and had some tests done the same day to confirm. He followed up with me immediately after getting back the test results and prescribed the appropriate medication. I felt much better in a few weeks and went for a follow up. By far one of the best doctors. I just saw Dr.Khodadadian for treatment of my irritable bowel syndrome which I have been suffering from for many years. Rather than just throwing medications at me, he was able to diagnose my years of gas/bloating symptoms as a food intolerance with a series of "breath testing" tests. This is apparently an instrument that allows pinpointing of what things in my diet were causing me symptoms that my other gastro's that I had been to didn't offer . Dr. Khodadadian, one of the best doctors I have ever seen!!! He is absolutely phenomenal! Dr. K was there to listen to my problems, take his time to examine me and then very pleasantly explained the diagnosis as well as the treatment plan. He went through the side effects of the medications and what I should expect. He explained my problems and why I was experiencing the symptoms in a way that I was able to understand. He even showed me a diagram to help. In addition to medications, he gave me some lifestyle changes that would help with my problems. Dr.Tsynman has changed my entire life! Meeting him only two weeks prior to these major changes, he was able to quickly get to the bottom of what was going on medically. I struggle with an auto-immune disease and was hesitant about explaining my diagnosis. Dr.Tsynman was caring, persistent, and patient. He was the only doctor who was able to get to the bottom of what was truly going on with my body. After assigning multiple take home tests to use, as well as scheduling a colonscopy- Dr.Tysnman exhausted every option until we found out what was wrong! It turns out I have multiple food allergies, and even had a colon infection. Most doctors would NOT have taken the proper actions as Dr.Tsynman did, and I would have never known what was wrong. Lastly, his office is always on call to answer questions, short wait time, and are kind & personable. I actually look forward to going into this office because of how friendly everyone is.
