Because they were so efficient in communicating with me by email about that car, I decided to visit the dealership and walked out with a BMW 5 series. We bought a Volvo V70 Wagon from Manheim Imports a few years ago. We could not have been more pleased with the dealer and my car. So, when our daughter was shopping for a Volvo wagon, Manheim Imports was one of the first calls we made. Within a short amount of time, they called with a car for our daughter. When telling me about the car, I asked "Is it a good car for my daughter?" Which they replied "Yes, it is. I would not be calling if it wasn't. This is a good car for your daughter." So, being so please with our purchase and the dealer, our daughter did not hesitate to buy this car. The time came for her first 3,000 mile service. She took it to the local Volvo dealer and imagine her shock when they presented her with a list of repairs for the car, things that do not wear out in 3,000 miles. She then took the car to a local Volvo service garage and they confirmed what the dealer had said. Repairs ran from a bad drive shaft to four failed control arm bushings to separated (torn) upper strut top bushings. When we called Manheim Imports to inform them of the findings, the answer we got was "when you buy an older model car, that is what you get." Where were the "it's a good car for your daughter or I wouldn't be calling" guys? After many phone calls, at least one by our garage to Manheim Imports, M.I. agreed to pay for the strut tops, but still left my daughter with a very sizable repair bill, over $2,000. Our garage (reputable/certified Volvo repair station) was very surprised they did not offer to do more. This car should have never been sold in this condition without revealing the condition to our daughter. Needless to say, we will not be buying anymore vehicles from Manheim Imports or recommending them to anyone that should ask. read more

I had been looking for a BMW 3-series wagon with all-wheel drive for months in the Washington, D.C. metro area without success. These cars are pretty uncommon, and all the local ones I test drove either had a flaw or were offered by unscrupulous dealers (or both: one local Mercedes dealership that had a used one even told me they regretted that I tried to roll down the window, since they were hoping that no one would have found it was broken if they sold it during the winter). After few more weeks of online searching, I found a car that fit the bill, with low mileage, but it was in Manheim, Pennsylvania. After corresponding with Manheim's Greg Martin online, I decided to make the plunge and beg a friend to Zipcar me up the following weekend. Two and a half hours later, we arrived, and I never regretted making this commitment. I fell in love with the car during the test drive, and Greg agreed to make a few cosmetic repairs to keep me happy. I returned three days later to sign the paperwork and pick up the car. In all a great experience, even driving 10 hours to and from this dealership out in rural Pennsylvania. I'd buy from Greg Martin again in an instant. read more

I had a great experience with Manheim. I drove two hours to see a 2012 Honda Fit without calling ahead. The car was the first one I spotted when I pulled into the parking lot, and in a very short while, a man came out to ask if he could help me. I looked the car over and pointed out that a couple of the tires had little tread. He explained that the car had only been on the lot two days, and they hadn't yet inspected it. We took a test drive, and I asked what he thought was the best they could do price-wise. The price was already good, but they agreed to drop it a little. He noted that they still needed to inspect it, and he didn't push me to commit to purchasing it prior to the inspection. Instead, he took my contact information and said he'd get it into the shop ASAP. It was 4:00 PM when I left. They inspected it that evening, and he called me in the morning to let me know that they would be replacing all four tires. We agreed on a price, I gave him my credit card number and approved a $500.00 deposit. I picked the car up several days later. Everything went very smoothly, I was treated with respect and courtesy (as a woman, I don't always find this at dealerships), and I would definitely buy another car from Manheim. I've had the car for several days now, and I'm absolutely thrilled with it. read more

Bought a 2007 Audi A4 from Manheim Import, everything seemed fine then 5 days later after picking up the car it breaks down on the side of the road. Wouldn't start and had to have it towed back to Manheims shop, here it took 2 weeks till it was finally fixed and in those 2 weeks the only person that would stay in contact with us was the mechanic. The guy who sold us the car didn't seem to care that we were paying insurance on a car we just bought and didn't have. After the car was finally fixed we drove all the up there to pick it up. Wife gets in the car and drives it 200 yards down the road and its making a sound that sounded like metal on metal. So we turn around and take it back and have him ride with us so he can hear it. So then he says we'll have to keep it here and look at it again and my wife doesn't put up with that shit and says she wants her money back and they can keep the car and they agreed they would give us our money back. Now 2 days later they are saying the only way they will give us our money back is if we split the bill to get the car fixed that we had for 5 days, they want us to pay $700 or they wont take it back. You can only imagine how pissed off my wife and I were! We called trying to work this out with the owner and they just want to say oh Jeff stepped out of the building. Never buy a car from these guys they don't care about their customers they just push cars off the lots. read more
