I purchased a fair condition high mileage American SUV from this dealership over two years ago on a…read morebuy-here-pay-here loan process. The loan was ten months long at $300 a month payments, split biweekly as were my pay periods. I had the lovely gift of family and my own dually noted financial efforts to help obtain the vehicle, maintain it, and make it to the finish line paying it off. After myself making exactly ten months of payments my loan was paid off as agreed. A title was mailed to me VERY promptly thereafter. I had one encounter during my loan where I was unable to pay. Not only did the dealership lend a deferral for 14 days and when I doubled up on my payment the next pay to square up they made sure I would not be strapped first before taking the money. YES, during my loan my vehicle broke down several times and it did take a couple tries before we could pinpoint some electrical issues with the vehicle (which have since been resolved) and it was annoying... but the vehicle is still running 248,000 miles later... I bought it with 200K hence the high-mileage intro earlier. Customer 1 Auto also offers a mechanic bay with newly staffed mechanics that know their stuff... This is the first vehicle I could say I actually had last long enough to have renewed the registration on, as an owner, twice. There are a lot of swindler car dealers looking to make a good deal fast to get their commission up, and then there's Customer 1 Auto. This is a local family ran business that's been there for many years with the same management. They have good intent to have good vehicles and good people working to make money selling cars and help people get into them. Best thing is to get your carfax so you know what you are getting, do your research and don't overspend. If they take the car back because you can't pay that's not their fault. MANY times people will say "this dirtb@g car dealership is a rip off" AND/OR "that car sucked anyway" but then they forgot to say how great the car was while they were driving it and not paying though.... Do your research online, pick your car, call for info, and see what they got to offer you.

do NOT do NOTTT go here i wanted to complain how they charged me 100% interest when I was young and…read moredumb but I saw another review they did 240% interest these people take advantage of you in your time of need I tried to settle and pay 3k in full instead they took the car and I had to pay 3800k to get it out plus tow fees and they will not take a card... I am in Baltimore MD my car was 10 mins away I had to drive to deleware to pay in cash.. i wanted to take them to court. the loan was $1500. If you need a loan go to Lendmark. By the way I ended up getting the car out and selling it for 5k, worked out for me. But still this place needs to be sued and closed.

If I could take these stars and shove them up the a$$es of the people doing business here, I would…read more WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I took out a loan in December 2019 and paid my payments on time. My plan was to pay the loan off with my tax refund, however, as we all know COVID happened and defrayed those plans. I was unable to make payments during the initial lockdown because I was employed by a small business who had to close permanently and I was ineligible for UC and have yet to receive a stimulus payment. I attempted to work something out with AEL and was told by James that I'd need to pay DOUBLE the original loan amount to keep my car. While still in lockdown, a rollback came and towed my car away. I involved the Attorney General because repossessions were not to occur during the pandemic. I was able to get some assistance through the State's office and paid the loan off to reclaim my vehicle. (If you find yourself having issues with this company, I HIGHLY encourage you to contact your state's Office of the Attorney General and file a complaint). Since taking back possession of my car and pay the loan off, I have yet to receive the title. I'm in the process of trying to sell the vehicle and was informed by PennDot that the title is still in Auto Equity's name. Auto Equity has lost the title and refuses to request a duplicate from their DOT. I spoke to a man claiming to be a supervisor in the "Asset Recovery" department this week who was rude and insensitive. I now have a vehicle that isn't my legal possession so I can't sell it and I can't even update my registration to drive it. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!! TRUST ME, YOU AREN'T THAT DESPERATE!!

I have been a customer of One Main Financial for over seven years…read more I have NEVER missed a payment, even when I was laid off for seven months ... I made sure every payment was made on time. I asked for a $5,000 emergency loan after an invitation was mailed to me to renew my loan for $10,000 ... . I supplied documents requested and was turned down. Why treat a LOYAL customer like this? I personally feel this is an outrage to a customer that has been 100% loyal to your contract, honoring it with my payments on time as requested. When I get invitations after invitations to apply for a loan. I apply for an emergency loan and I get slapped in the face. They claim that my debt ratio was the factor... BUT, I know people that are more financially strapped then me, missed payments and received more loans with no collateral... just a signature from OneMain. Unfair
