Interior is not large, but they use the available space well. Paradox has a wall of new pull books and many shortboxes of back issues. Above these shortboxes are a fair selection of toys and collectables. Behind the counter are Pop Vinyl's, variant comic covers, and wall books. They also sell some sports cards and collectable card games. Employee was helpful and knowledgeable. This is a good small shop that has just about everything you would want out of a local comic shop.

This was an interesting experience. Not your typical comic shop by ANY means, but still pretty fun…read moreto see and marvel at just HOW MUCH STUFF IS IN HERE! If you're looking for old stock to complete a collection, chances are, this is where you want to be. Majority of the warehouse *is* old stock with a smaller section for newly released comics. To me that's not really a downside because if you wanted new comics you could go literally anywhere else. But if you're looking for treasures, hard to find older issues, or just older comics in general that you want to read and don't care about the resale value or the condition it's in, this is the place for you. It's a place for collectors and enthusiasts that are searching because they want to own something, not because they're trying to hold it for resale. As for me, I was able to grab Star Wars IV, V, VI in comic form which I never even knew they made, just $5 each. I think this is a must-visit for comic lovers and I'm SO glad our uncle brought us here. Even if you aren't looking for anything, you really need to go just to see how many comics are on these shelves. It's mind-blowing.

Their prices are pretty standard across most NYC comic shops. But, I find their service to be their hallmark. On so many occasions, staff has gone out of their where to look for a book I couldn't find, grab me something I missed while I'm checking out, and just offer a warm and positive attitude while I'm there. I think this is a solid shop and I always recommend it to people looking for comics in NYC.

Good comic selection, and the atmosphere is pretty cool. Prices on comics aren't great frankly, but…read moresadly there aren't a whole lot of comic shops close so for the most part you're stuck here. Your only other option is Midtown Comics which is much better in every way. I've been going here for years though both to get stuff and to walk around, and it's still not bad. However the workers there are very rude a lot of the time. It's kind of been like this ever since I've been there. Like they're either not that willing to be helpful or they are actually straight up rude. After years of going to this place I actually saw a figure I wanted for the first time in one of the glass cases, and decided to grab one. Unfortunately there was a little small sign on the OTHER case that said don't open. After I basically got my figure out one of the employees stopped me. I profusely apologized once I realized my mistake, and still the employee told me around five times not to open even after I stepped away and apologized many times. But still I stood there and apologized for the display (a bunch of boxes). Then he gave me what I wanted (after I already basically did it myself) and then I went to the register. I then said "sorry I've been going here for years but I never got something out of the case before so I didn't know." And then another employee (who by the way was facing the case the whole time) said "It's behind glass for a reason", as if I'm in a museum. I apologized and left. The staff has been rude and entitled before but this has been my worst experience yet. Fun to walk around in, but it's hassle actually going here.

I figured they had to have it in stock. Especially given their massive online store presence. The spot is very unassuming and you have to go up a flight of stairs to get there, but once you get in, the space is warm and inviting. They have racks and racks of comics and trade paperbacks not to mention tons of bins to flip through broken down by character. Unfortunately they didn't have the issue I was looking for, but an employee was quick to look through their system. They did mention that they had it at another location, but it was basically their warehouse & it could be tough to find in person. He was, however, quick to suggest a place like NYCC. When I mentioned I was from LA, he mentioned that if I were to buy it off their website, they usually have discounts that would equate to free shipping. So, while I was unable to find what I was looking for, I was given incredible customer service. I really appreciate that they suggested looking for the issue at a con before even suggesting online purchasing. It showed that they care more about helping me find what I am trying to get vs just making a sale. It shows that they care about what they do and the comic book community as a whole. I'm glad I visited Midtown Comics. And If I am back in the city, I will absolutely return. Until then, looks like they're going to be getting an online purchase from me very very soon.
