I made the fairly long drive with cash in hand, ready to buy, so I was disappointed to discover that the books shown online were not actually available in the store. Unfortunately, I also didn't find much in the way of higher-value Silver or Bronze Age keys, either raw or slabbed. If you're looking for reasonably priced mid-grade books or trying to fill some gaps in your collection with non-key back issues, this could definitely be a fun store to browse. However, if you're a collector specifically looking for higher-grade books, significant keys, or more valuable Silver and Bronze Age material, you may be better served looking elsewhere. I just wish the website had made it clearer that the inventory shown online wasn't representative of what was actually available in the store.

Literally there are soooo many comics in here (maybe even a million?). Long boxes full of older and newer comic books (rarer ones are behind the counter). It can get a bit overwhelming since there's soo much to go through but I could literally stay there for hours digging through them. There is nothing fancy or anything inside. Strictly comic books, sport cards, and action figures (although I saw some old game cartridge in the back). This is owned by an older couple who have been doing this before some of you were even born. Ended up scooping up a few comic books that i wanted as a kid. Prices are fair as well. As for me, I was able to grab Star Wars IV, V, VI in comic form which I never even knew they made, just $5 each. The staff was friendly that is a definite plus. They are located between Newark broad Street train station and Rutgers University on University Ave. If you're not going there by mass transit Saturday is the best day to go for street parking. Apparently, all my Cabbage Patch dolls and countless other toys came not from a big retailer- but this shop here. Back in the day- the owner would custom order toys and even offer layaway plans for my dad. See that horse and batmobile 25 cent ride out front? I have pictures of me as a kid on it! School supplies? We got them all here. Today- this toy store is as good as ever. They have a large bike repair section, school supplies, book bags, barbies, action figures, bikes, board games, video games and lots of other cool toys. And the owner is one of the nicest guys you'll meet. He knows his store well and is really helpful. And like I said before- this is a great stop for school supplies. They stock up on all the things a kid needs around the end of August. If you live in the area- this is definitely a place worth visiting.
