Being in Los Angeles, there are a plethora of photographers to choose from. With Thien, he does more than what is necessary. That's what sets my vendors apart and him. My vendors were all top notch, they all adored each other and couldn't stop raving about how professional each one was. Even my venue said it was the best group they worked with and wished each wedding event was like ours. To this day, my DJ continues to rave about my photographer, six months after to all his new bookings. I know those who regret a lot about their weddings. You can skimp out on a lot of things for the wedding, but photos are not one of them. I know couples who regretted not booking Thien in the first place. And to be honest, I think Thien's work ethic does not equate to how much he deserves to get paid. He's with you from start to finish, you get sneak peaks of professional photos within 48 hours and most of the photos by week 6. I know couples who STILL HAVEN'T gotten their photos months later. It's not about skimping out when it comes to wedding services. You can still pay a fortune and not get the services you deem appropriate for said prices. My husband and I knew we wanted to book Carmen early on in our wedding planning process - in fact, she was the first vendor we booked. After we picked a venue, we worked with Carmen's schedule since we knew 1000% that we wanted to have her document our big day. From the beginning Carmen was super friendly and communicative with quick responses throughout the week (usually on weekends she is likely at a wedding). She was also very organized and had questionnaires to help us get to know each other better on a more personal level so we wouldn't feel like strangers on the big day. We went with one of her packages which included an engagement session (which was super fun and matched what we were envisioning - a "naturey" theme with mountains/hills in the background), a second shooter (who was super amazing!), an heirloom album (which we are currently working with her on), and more! The engagement session was extremely helpful for us because we were slightly nervous before the shoot, but the more time we spent with her, the more relaxed and at ease we felt (which is saying a lot because my husband and I are both introverts). We liked that Carmen could help us naturally pose and that her editing style was not too overly edited but allowed the natural beauty in each shot to shine. We also really appreciated Carmen's flexibility - my husband and I are both healthcare workers who have varying schedules and sometimes work weekends, but she was able to still plan our engagement session and our Zoom calls around our busy schedules. After the big day, when we look back on our wedding day, one thing that really stood out was how many of our guests were amazed with Carmen and her second shooter; the small details Carmen noticed made a lasting impression on a lot of our family members such as when Carmen and her second shooter would hold onto our guests' purses or sunglasses and make sure everyone looked essentially before taking photos. In our first meeting, it felt like talking to a long-time friend and it was an easy decision for us to put all our trust in her and her team.
