I was with my friend when she tried on the dress (off the rack) and I was worried as to how the dress could be made to fit her (even though she is teenie tiny) but her wedding dress was two sizes too small! Katherine made my friend's dress fit her PERFECTLY (from adding the two sizes and somehow making the bra/breast area fit perfectly without a gap (I feel like this is difficult to accomplish with a wedding gown and I see lots of brides with the gap around the bra area and it bothers me). I'm super picky and I was SOLD on hiring Katherine when I saw my friend on her wedding day - she seriously looked like a model in a movie! I told my friend "I need your wedding gown professional's contact info STAT for my own upcoming wedding. So so glad I called! Katherine also made (herself!) a beautiful sash for my daughter's flower girl dress (and for all of the other flower girls) ... they were so classy and so cute!! Super high quality too! The veil Katherine made (also herself) for my friend was GORGEOUS and I'm so excited for mine now (I get married next year)! Katherine has been so nice and so personable in my own wedding gown alteration process - and it's so nice and refreshing to have this! She is available via text message which I also appreciate a lot. The alterations ended up being taken a little too far and it lays weirdly on the sides (puckering etc), and when I received my dress back, it had visible dirt/stains on the back of the dress that were not there when I brought it in. My dress was brand new when I dropped it off, and when I expressed concern, I was told that it came that way/she didn't know what happened, which was frustrating because that simply was not true. I now have to spend additional time and money getting my wedding dress professionally cleaned myself, and no discount or effort was made to make the situation right. Communication throughout the entire process was also unclear. I was never given a firm completion date, which created unnecessary stress during an already stressful time leading up to a wedding. Wedding dress alterations are expensive, and for the amount I paid, I expected much more care, accountability, and communication. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed with the overall experience. While she was kind personally, I would not return and would not recommend her services.

She was so patient and friendly and offered suggestions whenever we each seemed unsure. Both mine and my mom's had delicate lace that seemed to be no problem for her to hem and take in at the waist (as well as shoulder's for my mom). She strengthened my bustle and eyelet, and straightened the bust (the top was curling outward) as my dress had been previously worn. She also added a "modesty" piece of fabric on my sister's v-neck bust; my sister was so appreciative to not have to worry about falling out that day. Haha. I felt more beautiful than ever before and am thankful to have found Pam!

I didn't make an appointment and he took me right away, the store is right in downtown Whitefish Bay. I went in July 6th and he said it would be ready by July 20th, which was plenty of time since my wedding isn't until end of August. She helped me and sewed some ID tags into the collar and did not charge me for this work.

I will be calling for A refund. 245 for a broken dress. Not to mention the fabric of the dress was not taken into account after altering and the folded pattern is pulling away from the seams and a few stickers have already broke. Just from trying it on. It went from a bag. To this place back into a bag and then to my home where I was going to steam it (suggested by them) and tried it on to see what spots needed it. I also do not think I ever met with the seamstress once. The person altering my dress and I never spoke. I feel as though as an "expert" they should be the ones to direct you in what can and can not be fixed with a dress. I wanted the dress taken in a bit as it was falling off at the top, but now it's entirely too tight and hurts. I'm honestly dreading having to wear this all day, and the constant worry of it breaking again or even worse. The zipper also will not stay up due to how tight it is. Of course you try this ok before leaving, but you stand there and look into a mirror. Maybe I should have acted as if I was in the dance floor to test drive this before leaving.
