Haha, all the tacos I ordered were so delicious! I especially enjoyed the adobada taco. When we ordered we told the kind server we wanted our tacos with everything (con todo). The adobada taco was super flavorful, juicy and addicting. It came with a complementary cilantro-looking sauce that made the taco even better. The Suadero was soft and flavorful as well with a spicy kick. The Asada was flavorful and came with lots of guacamole/avocado. They also give you a small plate full of limes and slices of radishes to enjoy with your food/tacos. It is a very spacious restaurant with a VIP side (maybe for locals or etc) and a regular side. Although they don't have beer they had a fridge filled with refreshing soft drinks. I highly recommend you try this place just a hop across the border, it is only a short uber ride away.

Vintage Tijuana spot here! Las Ahumaderas has for decades been one of the better (top 3-5, arguably…read more#1) spots in TJ for tacos - highly recommended by tourists and locals alike. Las Ahumaderas is a collection of 5-6 taquerias on one side street off Blvd. Agua Caliente, one of the main thoroughfares in TJ. The taquerias offer very solid, relatively cheap tacos and tend to stay open until super late at night (often until 4 am). Las Ahumaderas is famously nicknamed "Taco Alley" and gained some international recognition after being featured one of Anthony Bourdain's travel and food shows. I've been several times but last stopped by Las Ahumaderas in September. The most popular spot there (and my personal favorite) is Las Tres Salsas - would highly recommend checking out that taqueria first if you've never been. The most highly regarded tacos here are the adobada (pork) tacos (my personal favorite as well). Ordered two adobada tacos, one suadero (cow belly) taco, and a Sprite. The nice thing about the food and drink at Ahumaderas is that a lot of the basic items are priced the same - each taco and the sprite were 45 pesos (around $2.50 USD) each. The tacos were all well-portioned, tasty, and filling (as usual). One thing a lot of tourists don't know is Las Tres Salsas has two levels, with the second level sometimes having a decent, relaxing view and atmosphere depending on the time of day. So I ordered and ate on the second floor (ordered from the server for that floor). Cash (dollars or pesos) are by far the most common method of payment but credit cards are also accepted at Las Tres Salsas and I think the other taquerias at Ahumaderas as well. If you don't speak Spanish there's usually someone at the register who speaks enough English to get by though the server I had that afternoon happened to speak very good English. Right after Las Tres Salsas I went to Tacos El Paisano, one of the other taquerias in the establishment. Ordered 1 asada (steak) taco, 1 cabeza (cow's head) taco, and a Fresca soda. Like Las Tres Salsas, all of the items were 45 pesos each. The tacos here were also good, though not as good as Las Tres Salsas; both of the tacos fell apart a bit due to being slightly soggy (though again they were good). I'm a picky eater but there are a wide variety of tacos, quesadillas, and other items to try between the handful of taquerias at Ahumaderas. Las Ahumaderas is about a 13-15 minute walk down Agua Caliente from Telefonica Gastro Park, another excellent foodie location in TJ. Must visit if you've never been before!

The food was actually good, wish I could say the same about the service. Ordered tacos and when it came to drinks they only had one kind. The problem was that even tho the restaurant was dead empty they were in a big rush to get us out of there. This was around 2pm today May 21st 2025. It's not like we made this up, my mom and I head the cook tell the waiter that we had finished eating but still had not left. I am never coming back here since TJ is crowded with taco stands that would love me as a customer. I advise you to save yourself the bad experience and rather get it to go or eat somewhere else.

This spot is on the side of the road and they do have bar stools for seating, but it can get crowded. If you're in Tijuana and want authentic, amazing tacos, this place is a must.

The Zona Rio location has a small dining area, that is very popular with both the locals and visitors. It is easy to see why. Their menu does not over dose on the standard morning and afternoon items that you would find anyplace. However, this is the first restaurant I've been to in Tijuana, that does not have an English menu.... so I had to labor through the Spanish menu. But, they do have unique dishes, thus making the visit adventurous, because it is difficult to choose. I went back and forth, and finally settled for their 3-egg omelet with asparagus and sheep cheese. It came with refried beans, strings of carrots and beets, small fired up tostadas and fresh tortillas (both blue and yellow corn). A small side of soggy chilaquiles was also served. A small flavorful salsa tray is also provided with 3 options, ranging from mild to hot. The asparagus spears were thin, cut up into small pieces and sautéed with mild spices. The outer egg covering soft and not overdone. If anything, there was too much sheep cheese, in certain portions of the omelet. I say this because it was an asparagus omelet, and it, instead of the cheese, should have been the star. Still, it did not take away from the other commendable aspects of the complete entree and its accompaniments. Before the meal, a small refreshing fruit plate is served. Coffee and overall service here, was mucho excellente.

They have their own designated parking, which is nice, as sometimes parking may be an issue in town. The parking attendant welcomes you and lets you know where to park. You are immediately greeted when you walk in. I typically visit for a late lunch. The restaurant has a cozy feel. The staff are attentive and friendly. The presentation of the food is nice and it tastes good. Some of the dishes that I have tried are: Tarahumara (portobello omelet), Xitomatl (entomatadas), Huichol (chilaquiles con cecina), Mulli (mole Oaxaqueño), Teotihuacán (chilaquiles con chorizo y huevo), and Coyoltzin (puntas de filete). My favorite has been the Coyoltzin because the meat is tender and juicy. I also love that they bring salsas to the table. I like the chiles with oil and vinegar that they make. Overall, a great place to have breakfast or lunch with friends and family.
