Kept putting off getting my wisdom teeth pulled, and all of a sudden when I'm away from home for an extended amount of time, they begin to kill me. Turns out I had a pocket that could cause an infection and one tooth was growing into another...great. Called all over Syracuse and no one could get me in, by the grace of God, he put Katelin in my life and split seas to be able to squeeze me in. Now I'm 4 days out of the healing process with no pain, back to work with no swelling or irritation. She said she had to check her scheduling and she would be right back, two seconds later, she proceeded to tell me that their office couldn't do the extraction in timely matter and that they could not accommodate me. Said good luck with your tooth and hung up. I never mention a time, also I feel as though, because I wasn't getting an implant, I was turned away. How unprofessional. I would never recommend this office, only because of the unprofessional staff. So sad that's how heath care works today. I had been very reluctant to visit any dentist before finding his office, because I have had terrible experiences prior to this. Dentists who were very rough, who would rather pull teeth than save them, and who botched work. Dr. Pateras restored my faith in dentistry not only through his skill, but also through introducing me to preventive dentistry. In the past I would have teeth that would break off with no warning, loose teeth, constant infections and lots of cavities. After becoming a patient here, and taking care of problems before they become irreversable, I have enjoyed good dental health ever since. I have had to have my share of restorative work such as crowns and bridges due to past neglect, but the remaining teeth have remained in good shape and I plan on keeping them. The office staff and hygienists are also worth noting...he only hires the best. They are always pleasant and professional.

I have been seeing Dr. Schwab the entire time, he's probably nearing retirement now. The hygienists and receptionist have been there for many years, low employee turn over is always a good sign. The entire staff is friendly and professional. A few years ago they started submitting claims to insurance on your behalf, I like that. I'm not a huge fan of the location, it's in the, "badlands" of Syracuse. I still make the drive from the southern suburbs because I think Dr. Schwab is worth it. About a year ago I left central New York for Austin, Texas. My new dentist complimented Dr. Schwab's work on my multiple fillings. She said they looked tight, clean and professional. I have never had a filling crack or need to be replaced, the work speaks for itself. If you live in central New York and need a dentist, stop looking and call the Dental Arts Group, it's well worth the drive.

Its so refreshing to be encouraged rather than told all the things you're doing wrong. They were beyond amazing. Dr. Schwab is so friendly & warm. His assistant is lovely. The girls up front are so helpful & kind. The hygienist I saw was wonderful. She was gentle on my teeth & completed my cleaning much more quickly than I expected. Everything ran like clock work. I love the location. Its so convenient for those of us that live near Tipp Hill or work near downtown. I'd been seen at this practice for many years. When I informed the office that my insurance was…read morechanging, they waved me on and said not to worry that they "take" my insurance. However, they neglected to inform me that they were out-of-network with my new insurance, even when I asked them to confirm as they pushed many 'preventative' services for my children that would only be fully covered in-network. I've paid close to $500 out of pocket for services that would have been free otherwise with an in-network provider. The complete disregard for THEIR error is mind-boggling and extremely disappointing. The office is chaotic and informed me this error (theirs 100%) is completely my fault.
