Manna's an okay option if you're craving kbbq. Meat quality is okay, banchans (side dishes) are decent. Half the meats were decent, the others were tough and the quality wasn't that great. Giving this place a 4/5 because service is excellent. They get super busy but the servers there are all attentive and will get you what you need. They also have free unlimited ice cream you can grab after you finish your meal. There is a lot of seating in the restaurant, but it gets super busy since it's in Gaslamp. Would recommend joining the waitlist and walking around Gaslamp while you wait (if there is a wait).

I don't know what Manna BBQ put in their grill over here, but this location is built different I never had to awkwardly wave my tongs in the air for help once! Incredible service and their robots were fast AF The meat quality tastes better here. I don't know if it's the marinade, the grill, or the anointing, but yeah... different from all the other locations The spot itself is not too big not too small.. but for sure you're not elbowing strangers while flipping brisket. When you walk in you get hit with that bulgogi smell getting you ready to get down!

Overall I had a good experience. The food was good, I just wish I had the stomach to eat more! It's an AYCE Korean BBQ. After we were seated we only got a brief introduction to how things worked. The robot they have to deliver your meats is so cute! The only reason I'm leaving 4 stars is because in the beginning when the host sat us, she was explaining how the system worked and then she ordered a dish for us for demonstration, but neither of us had decided to order that. The wait staff kept coming back to our table and it could have been them just being over attentive but it came off as them trying to rush us. Also I don't like how they just put out all these side dishes on your table like fishcake and kimchi, when they can be ordered on the tablet. We weren't very interested in them, and I find it's very wasteful to serve things people don't order.

Came here for my birthday dinner after skating all day and it could've have been better. Meat quality is excellent for ayce. It is pretty busy here but they have iPads where you can submit your orders and robots to deliver your meat. I don't really like the way this restaurant is set up but it was still a pleasant experience. They also give you complimentary ice cream at the end!

Really pleased with my first K-BBQ experience at Manna! For $32 per person with the meal package we chose, it was a great deal for the quality of meat we received. Unlimited sides and 4 meats at a time. The only thing I wish was that the spicy meats were spicier. They did have good flavor, but would definitely have utilized spicier sauces. Otherwise the service was great, and the seating arrangements help provide privacy at your table which is appreciated. It's a smaller spot but on a Sunday eve, 5 of us were able to get seated immediately. I'd definitely return and recommend to others.

Their grill is so different I was waiting for the plate but that's the grill makes it for a better sear

It's a lil vibe. it's super small and also complicated with narrow aisles, the robotic table side delivery with the lack of space screams an interior and deeper design problem! They're using robots like many of these places do but I feel bad for the servers and crew, there isn't enough space for both to pass all at once! This place is probably a nightmare to get into late night! Luckily it was noon on a Friday and no problem checking in. I love their grill! You get more BBQ flavor because of how their grill is. I also love the fact that they let us keep the old grill we had been using to acquire more charcoal flavor! I'm gonna give them five stars just for that! It's a BBQ! Often times I find myself disappointed when they wanna take my grill so it's easier for them to clean. I get it but there has to be a work around, especially if others are doing it. Also, gonna give them five stars because the seasoned meat! I thought there was a an abundance of sauces. No, there isn't haha but many of the meat they have they offer it spicy with extra seasonings. I love the bulgogi, get the spicy kind! Overall, I liked my food and even though we sometimes didn't get what we ordered, like the ramen and cheese corn, still had some great food overall!

I'm familiar with the Kearny Mesa location and was looking forward to checking out the Gaslamp one. We went here for a team lunch and it was a fun outing that was engaging, tasty and a great experience especially for those who had never had Korean BBQ. I believe Gyu-Kaku was here before so it was already set up for the table grills. It appeared to be renovated very nicely with a modern feel and quite a lot of seating. A couple of things stood out to me, contributing to the 5 star review - great selection of ban chon that was ready for us upon arrival, the good selections of meat and other side dishes, and the robot servers that were playing k-pop. That last one was a creative fun touch that really entertained the group! Ordering was easy and done on the table iPad and the service was super quick, rotation between the robots and human servers. I do wish they had thin cut pork belly but other than that everything was very quality and resulted in a great lunch.

yummy fun experience all around. Not a big fan of cooking your own food but the fun we had in doing so was worth it. This location has some cool robots delivering your food to grill, pretty fun to see them roam around and it adds to the hype. you cannot go wrong with any meat options here, there is plenty to choose from. Be sure not to fill up on the sides though, that can easily happen. The staff will get agitated (you can see it) if you keep flaming up your grill. We seen plenty of lime showers on the grill followed by some grill time-out sessions. It's understandable but many customers have never been to these type of setups and you will see a lot of that here. I do recommend the staff give some tips, etc on how to minimize those flare ups. Parking is what you would expect from the gaslamp. During convention season, this place can have wait times of up to 45 minutes so prepare ahead. I do enjoy this location over the others though.

I came to San Diego for a business trip and I wasn't sure if they would take just 1 person. Needless to say they have smaller tables for the solos or couples. The food was excellent and the price point can't be beat. You can get the $30 option or the premium for $37. I got the premium and if you are by yourself and want to try multiple items you can order half portions...or you can get double portions. You get to order 4 plates at a time and 2 hours to eat. Free ice cream as well. For gaslamp, this is a really reasonable place.

Omg, first time coming here, this place is so yummy, delicious and just pure greatness. Its hard to find a good Korean BBQ. Everyone was nice and service was good. You order on the touchscreen whatever you want and a robot machine comes out and bring your items. It plays kpop music. You cook the meat yourself and we got all you can eat A1. I have to say its well worth it. I ate more than my partner did. Im stuffed like a pop belly pig. I love korean food and I couldn't stop eating at all. Now I gotta go walk like 5 miles. Ugh, I'm so full. I would most definitely Definitely recommend this place. Can't wait to come back next year.

My sister and I were in San Diego for the week and came across this AYCE KBBQ restaurant while wandering through the Gaslamp. We came for dinner on a Thursday evening around 7:30PM and waited about 10 minutes for a table. The evening crowd in the Gaslamp can be a little dodgy so just be aware of your surroundings. We went with the A2 option ($31.99/person) and thought it was great bang for your buck. Especially compared to some of the AYCE KBBQ restaurants we frequent back in the Bay Area. You order everything through an iPad and the service is attentive. The restaurant has robots that bring the meats to your table - this is the future. All the meats we ordered were very tasty. Our only critique is that we thought that the LA Galbi was too sweet for our liking. We usually marinate and grill our own galbi at home so we might be slightly biased. The grill is not your typical hot plate, but rather has vents for the fats/sauces to drip through which we prefer. The smokeless grill system works great and we walked out of the restaurant and didn't smell like grilled meats.

Mission accomplished, so full after

(+) They were understaffed but service still worked hard despite that. We only had maybe one slow period but the waitress recognized that and took a larger order than usual to avoid another lull in meats haha. (+) No one really able to hang in front and host, but they have a tablet to put your name and number in. I also like how it shows where you are in the queue and the party sizes of those ahead of you. (+) Good menu of AYCE options, went with A2. Stuck to the standard no chicken, heavy on the beef, only a little banchan & rice as possible. Bulgogi, pork bellies, steaks, and even baby octopus was popular. Kids liked the ramen & pork dumplings. Steamed egg also a hit with them. (+) Celebrated my birthday here, total of 11 of us. No reservation but they accomodated and had a large table ready by the time everyone arrived. It was in the back near the kitchen, but semi-private and fit 6 adults and 5 kids. 2 grills total. (+) Robot kitty waiter also sang me a song for my birthday! And we enjoyed how it would play kpop too as it rolled back and forth. Kids loved when it delivered food to us too.

This was all of the meat we received. 3 small plates for 2 adults and 1 child in over an hour.

We came here for dinner last Saturday night (09/30) and experienced the worst dinner fail I've ever had. That's saying a lot considering the number of bad (and good) kbbq spots I have tried in my life. My kids and I came in for dinner last Saturday and it was busy, as expected. It wasn't a big deal because they texted us when our table was ready and we were able to grab a couple of drinks down the street. But the moment we sat down, the fiasco began. We placed our order through the tablet on the table and patiently waited with my hungry kids. Nothing came out. They said there was an issue with their WIFI and they didn't get our original orders, so we ordered a few things from the server. They eventually brought out 3 small plates of the meat that we ordered and we proceeded to order more food through the tablet. NOTHING ELSE CAME OUT. They never told us that the tablet was not working, and if it wasn't, they never came by our table to take any additional orders. They literally left us sitting there for nearly an hour, thinking that a lot more food was coming out. After waiting forever and after both my kids started falling asleep, we let them know that nothing had come out and they asked us what specifically didn't come out. How about everything?! So in short, we spent well over $100 for literally 3 small plates of food with a total of 4 pieces of meat. And by the time they noticed and offered to bring us what we ordered, we did not have time to sit around with young kids for another hour, just to receive what we ordered a long time ago. Needless to say, my wife was pissed. I understand that this place gets busy as it's smack in the middle of Gaslamp and seems to be a popular spot. But if your tablet is not working, you need to let the customer know right away and have a server take orders frequently to make it right. It was pretty insulting that they would even charge us for the paltry amount of food that was served. And I doubt they care about losing one customer out of many, but I'm pretty sure my wife will never step foot in here again. I hope you have better luck than we did.

Is there a public parking close by?

It's down town so there is a struggle for parking there are free parking spots or else you have to pay. It's always a walk if you want to find free parking. If you're lucky you can find some nearby but usually it's a walk.

Are there weekday lunch specials or other specials?

My husband and I really enjoyed the brisket the sausage links, the potato salad and coleslaw. The tri-tip unfortunately was kinda dry and the ribs were a little tough. And the Mac and cheese were super garlicky. This bbq place is ok, it's nice and big and has a nice relaxing atmosphere. But I would stick to the brisket and hot links and the sides.
