It's All Good My wife sent me to Manny's yesterday to get some tacos, my first visit to this food truck. I've noticed this truck for months but never thought to stop by, although they seemed to be popular. A quick look online and I knew they are cash only and have a simple menu. She wanted to try their Carne Asada and Al Pastor. That sounded fine so I got the same thing, only twice as much. There was no line when I arrived so it was a quick stop, placing my order, paying, and receiving my container of food in just a few minutes. Once home we opened it up and both thought it looked really very good. They use a double shell for each taco so the tacos don't tear apart. I got kind of carried away with the red hot sauce so I didn't taste much, barely able to distinguish any differences between the steak and pork. This was our first time visiting the truck, but we got lost going there. Put in Nick's bar if you are using a gps. When we go there, there was a table in front for about 6 people to sit. Otherwise, most people got it to go. They also changed the prices from $2 to 2.50 for each taco. The al pastor and pollo were the best ones because they had the most flavor. The tacos also came with two shells which felt a little thick. The carne asada and carnitas were bland. All the tacos were juicy! The salsas added spice and flavor to the tacos. My family has been consistently ordering from Manny's for probably 8 years now. We are usually there once a weekend- it's a staple for us. The Al pastor and carne asada especially are amazing. Jose and his staff are always efficient and pleasant and the tacos are so authentic and affordable. I ended up sitting in a random parking lot looking through people's pictures in search of a google-able business in the background. If this happens to you, the truck is located right past McIntosh road and Bee Ridge. It's in the parking lot of Nick's Bar. Now for the food! It was worth the extra effort to find this place. I went with 2 tacos de pollo for $4 and it filled me up. It comes with a green chili salsa and the flavor packed in the tacos was incredible. Just moved back to Sarasota from Los Angeles and I was so happy to have discovered this taco truck! Authentic, delicious, tacos and they are open until 1 am on the weekends. My only complaint is the tortillas are made with flour. In my opinion authentic tacos should be made with corn only! They told me they were corn. I'm gluten free. About 3 bites in... These are legit street tacos. We have visited several times and tried all the different meat options. Really like the beef (which is really steak) and the carnitas. Get them with all the toppings and you won't be sorry. They throw in some nicely cut limes and there is hot and mild salsa to go with them too. At $2.00 per taco it's a good deal. We get a few per person and it makes a good meal. We are from Southern Arizona and know a good taco and these are the best in the area. Absolutely perfect! If you want authentic, affordable, and delicious tacos in the Sarasota area this is where you have to go. It is only open on Fridays and Saturdays, but definitely worth going to. The tacos are only $2 ($2.50 for cow tongue). We had the pork carnitas and steak tacos. The standard toppings are tomatoes, onions, cabbage, and cilantro (can't remember if there were more). Extremely overpriced for what you get. These tacos are worth 1.25-1.50 max. No restaurant, no ambience, hell at least load up the damn taco if ur gonna charge $2 out of a trailer. The fact that they charge $2 a taco and everyone thinks it taste authentic is laughable. These people have almost an arrogant attitude like they are doing you a favor by taking your order. We had chimichangas and shrimp tacos. Their signature spicy sauce brought the heat, yet you can't stop eating it.
