It's All Good My wife sent me to Manny's yesterday to get some tacos, my first visit to this food truck. I've noticed this truck for months but never thought to stop by, although they seemed to be popular. A quick look online and I knew they are cash only and have a simple menu. She wanted to try their Carne Asada and Al Pastor. That sounded fine so I got the same thing, only twice as much. There was no line when I arrived so it was a quick stop, placing my order, paying, and receiving my container of food in just a few minutes. Once home we opened it up and both thought it looked really very good. They use a double shell for each taco so the tacos don't tear apart. I got kind of carried away with the red hot sauce so I didn't taste much, barely able to distinguish any differences between the steak and pork. I'm not much of a taco aficionado anyway, to me it was all good. Manny's is located, on Fridays and Saturday, at Nick's Bar on Bee Ridge just east of McIntoch. read more

I had the steak, carnitas, al pastor and chicken tacos with onions, cabbage, cilantro and pico on corn tortillas. Simple, tasty and totally satisfying. Salsa gives additional flavor and it's great food for a great price. They also have flour tortillas (the boss's preference). Cash only read more

This was our first time visiting the truck, but we got lost going there. Put in Nick's bar if you are using a gps. When we go there, there was a table in front for about 6 people to sit. Otherwise, most people got it to go. They also changed the prices from $2 to 2.50 for each taco. The al pastor and pollo were the best ones because they had the most flavor. The tacos also came with two shells which felt a little thick. The carne asada and carnitas were bland. All the tacos were juicy! The salsas added spice and flavor to the tacos. My family has been consistently ordering from Manny's for probably 8 years now. We are usually there once a weekend- it's a staple for us. The Al pastor and carne asada especially are amazing. Jose and his staff are always efficient and pleasant and the tacos are so authentic and affordable. Great option for quick inexpensive take out, (there are only a few seats so don't plan to eat there) this food is solid every time!! Hands down the best taco place I've had in such a longgg time!! My entire family was in the mood for tacos and we found it, headed over, and boy they were soo good. My GPS definitely took me to the wrong place when using the location from Yelp. I ended up sitting in a random parking lot looking through people's pictures in search of a google-able business in the background. If this happens to you, the truck is located right past McIntosh road and Bee Ridge. It's in the parking lot of Nick's Bar. Now for the food! It was worth the extra effort to find this place. I went with 2 tacos de pollo for $4 and it filled me up. It comes with a green chili salsa and the flavor packed in the tacos was incredible. Probably my favorite part of my vacation in Sarasota! So good I went twice , trust me after you visit this taco shop you will be coming back for more! The steak and pork carnitas were the bomb ( 2$ tacos ) I did try the chicken , I didn't care for but still good. Great street tacos: maybe the best in the city! Friday and Saturday only; so plan accordingly ;) I have tried the Asada, Pollo and Lengua tacos and all of them are just great. Make sure you get the red salsa, it will kick it up in such a good way. read more

In my search for a decent burrito in Sarasota, I discovered this little gem. It's tacos only and even though I'm not a taco girl, I tried two. I got a chicken and a carnitas. Excellent! THEY MOVED. Only a few 100 feet away from old location. Across Tuttle, closer to Tuttle Circle. In the Mini Mart C-Store parking lot. You can see the new location FROM the old location. Dont miss out on their food. Awesome! See them at the new location. read more

Just moved back to Sarasota from Los Angeles and I was so happy to have discovered this taco truck! Authentic, delicious, tacos and they are open until 1 am on the weekends. My only complaint is the tortillas are made with flour. In my opinion authentic tacos should be made with corn only! They told me they were corn. I'm gluten free. About 3 bites in... I could taste the flour. Unfortunately I won't be able to eat here anymore. Please use 100% corn tortillas so everyone can enjoy! read more

These are legit street tacos. We have visited several times and tried all the different meat options. Really like the beef (which is really steak) and the carnitas. Get them with all the toppings and you won't be sorry. They throw in some nicely cut limes and there is hot and mild salsa to go with them too. At $2.00 per taco it's a good deal. We get a few per person and it makes a good meal. We are from Southern Arizona and know a good taco and these are the best in the area. Bonus is that you pull into a bar parking lot on Bee Ridge Road and order from a truck, authentic experience. read more

Great tacos, been going for years. Typically I'll have the Al Pastor and Carme Asada tacos. I don't understand how people say it's not authentic?? I go to Mexico at least once a year and always make it a point to hit as many taco stands as possible. This is equally as good! Just stay for 30 min and notice the crowd that pulls up, the authenticity will be obvious. read more

This is not a place, people. This is a truck that serves tacos and such. They have 1-2 tables set up and it is sort of pricey for what you're given. I wouldn't say it's the most authentic tasting Mexican food I've eaten, but what's authentic anymore? These reviews though..."I'm not a taco girl, "I don't eat Mexican food.." 4-5 stars? It's not awful, but after a few tries (have had almost everything including the tongue!) I can't say I'm going back. I'm holding my breath for a Taco Bus. read more

Absolutely perfect! If you want authentic, affordable, and delicious tacos in the Sarasota area this is where you have to go. It is only open on Fridays and Saturdays, but definitely worth going to. The tacos are only $2 ($2.50 for cow tongue). We had the pork carnitas and steak tacos. The standard toppings are tomatoes, onions, cabbage, and cilantro (can't remember if there were more). It also came with different sauces both good definitely spicy. Everything tasted fresh and the meat was cooked perfectly. I cannot wait to eat the tacos again when I come back to Sarasota! read more

Extremely overpriced for what you get. These tacos are worth 1.25-1.50 max. No restaurant, no ambience, hell at least load up the damn taco if ur gonna charge $2 out of a trailer. The fact that they charge $2 a taco and everyone thinks it taste authentic is laughable. These people have almost an arrogant attitude like they are doing you a favor by taking your order. Tried it 2x and their only saving grace is they are open super late. read more

Really fresh ingredients. They didn't skimp on flavor and freshness. They made our meals good and spicy as we asked. This will be one our favorite placed for sure. We had chimichangas and shrimp tacos. Their signature spicy sauce brought the heat, yet you can't stop eating it. The yuca fries had a great crunch factor which went well with a spicy seasoned mayo dip. We will be back. The manager was friendly and went the extra mile to please us. I dont even eat tacos or mexican food that often, but I have to say that this place was spectacular. Chicken , steak and shrimp tacos was magnficent. I do not eat much spicy food but everything was brought to me on the side and I added onto my tacos as needed. The staff was a little slow because they where busy, but I can respect people wanting the good food!. I shall return. read more

I recently ate at a famous +2000 reviewed Mexican restaurant in the SF Bay Area. The tacos at "Tacos to Go!" are better than the famous +2000 reviewed restaurant. Seriously, the Al Pastor and Lengua are so good, if you close your eyes, you'll feel like your in SoCal hanging at a famous food truck...yet...here it is in Sarasota. We had the Thai version with slaw on the side - just AMAZING! Incredible flavors, especially the peanut sauce. I had looked over their menu items ahead of time and decided on their All American Taco and Fusion Taco, the first ground beef with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a small container of sour cream, the second made with chorizo and steak with Panela Cheese. My wife and I also shared an Esquites, a container of corn topped with mayo and Cotija cheese, like Mexican street corn without the cob. I liked all the food, as a burger lover I especially liked the All American Taco. Everything was quite flavorful. This was a quick and easy meal, the food was ready in about 5-6 minutes.
