They don't even have a phone number you can contact them with which is very unprofessional. we found the laundromat very clean and it washed our clothing well. had to put on the dryer a few times to dry the clothes but the dryers were reasonably priced for this (~35 cents a load). the washers were on the pricey side but with the dryers at that cost it was worth it! highly recommend. read more

This laundromat is located in Manoa Marketplace, next to the post office. The facility is clean and there are a lot of washers and dryers to use. It's great if you're needing to wash a large comforter and towels. To pay for your laundry, you need to purchase a card from the machine below the television. Unfortunately when we went, both machines read that it was out of cards. I was able to find a local number to call for help. The call went straight to voicemail, so I left a message letting them know the situation. Luckily for us, a gentleman had an extra laundry card and said we could keep it. Thank goodness for his kind gesture! Hopefully they refill the machines with cards for future patrons! Went on a Sunday Morning and it was packed at the crack of dawn. Did not help when a lot of washing machines and dryers were out of commission. Looks like it hasn't been maintained in months. It's good if you don't have a washer or dryer and have to wait for people to finish their load of laundry. The prices is affordable and close to where we live. So couldn't complain too much. 3 weeks in a row I wasn't able to load my laundry card cause, as they explained to me, "you can't load it if the internet is slow" really? Y'all can't spend $20 extra bucks a month for faster internet so you don't lose customers? Manoa Laundry is one of the better laundromats in town. Just look at the demographics. Manoa is a very clean, middles class community. While your clothes is in the wash, you can go shopping, eat or whatever. Great Location. Lots of parking. Other reviewers are complaining about the price to do laundry here, but hey, either limit the amount of time you need to wash your clothes every month or go to the river and do it. Here are some tips: 1-Yes, these are machines and they do break down. Before you feed all of you money in the dryer (this not a Vegas slot machine, buddy!), put in 50cents, wait, and if you see a flame in the back and the glass is getting warm, then feed more quarters, otherwise, dis one stay broken brah!! 2-The 4 dryers by the pay phone are the best. You can lift the hood at the top to see the blue flame to see if its working. Plus you have a little counter in front of the machines all to your self for folding clothes. 3-The attendant is there only in the early morning (530am) til the afternoon. So if you have any problems, there is someone to help. Keep in mind though, he is the grounds keeper too, so you have to hunt him down if you need help. The guy is really cool. 4-If you wash clothes after 6pm you can park in the back parking lot since everyone who has a reserved parking spot leaves by then. 5-Lots of older local japanese people wash their clothes here and lots of UH students. Been coming here for a lot of years and it's normally clean, and not too busy. Occasionally, it'll be maxed out, but the wait is never long. They run on a laundry card system which can be loaded for any amount, using cash or credit card. That's very convenient except for the times when the machine is down (and that does happen). The prices are competitive! 25 cents for 8 minutes in the dryer is awesome, as is $2.80 for a small washer. I wish there was an attendant on duty for often because problems do arise, like when the card readers don't work, and then you wouldn't run into the problem of people leaving their laundry unattended in the machines for hours at a time. I had to wash several large comforters. Place is perfect - clean, machines are all modern, different sizes, believe it to be enough machines.. Fully automated. Need to purchase a card to use machines...only thing that would be helpful is to list prices of different size machines per wash, as well as prices for each size dryer in order to better determine how much to put on the card for your use. The other thing is the heat in this place is a little much, but lots of area to wait and eat at neighboring stores in the shopping center. read more

I think this is the best one out there. Here's why I like this laundromat: 1. Plenty of parking 2. They have a lot of machines 3. The prices, I believe are the best out there. 14 quarters for the small wash ($3.50), 20 quarters for the medium wash ($5) and 27 quarters for the only large wash ($6.75). 4. While you're waiting for your laundry, Manoa Marketplace offers a great selection of places to eat, you can do grocery shopping at Safeway, make your deposits at one of the banks, get your nails done at Manoa Nails, grab a Starbucks or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, etc.! Need I say more? Don't even bother with the other places! However, a msg to mgmt: PLS. clean up the place more often (wipe down the machines esp so they're not all gooey) and service your equipment a little quicker. Please! If I could give this place a 0 I would. The floor was covered with puddles of water with rubber mats here and there still extremely dangerous. Most of the machines didn't work. There was trash all around the place and an overflowing rubbish can. The first dryer I put my clothes in stopped and would not start again after a few minutes. I hope my clothes are clean but I feel dirty after slogging around in the puddles. If you don't have to, don't go there! read more

They are a great place for sure! They are clean, easy to access, with ample parking.

My washer broke at home so I had to find a place to wash quick. This one is by my work and house so I decided to try it because I like Manoa. So it was kind of hard to find it's hidden in a corner of the plaza. I drove all the way around the back of the building to enter. If you enter from the front entrance you have to walk a little farther. There's two parking stalls by the back entrance to minimize your walk but it's only for loading. People don't really listen to that rule. Half of the washers and dryers don't work, maybe I should have started with that. If they do work they might break down during your wash. I've seen it happen and then the washer is full of water. Sometimes they mark the ones that aren't operating but there's no one actually on-site that works there so they won't know that a machine is broken. There's a coin change dispenser but it doesn't work... so then there's two machines where you can buy a laundromat card to use. But one doesn't take cash. Card only. The other one is fine. It's kind of hit or miss. Good luck! read more

used to be a hidden gem in 2013, was not too busy in the morning and empty at night. all machines worked fine. 2022: it's always full and at least 3-4 machines/dryers are broken. I'd say I wasted at least $50 because the card system gave me a error card that was unable to read my funds and some machines would deduct money from my card but won't start bc "door isn't closed". The bigger washers doors needs to be closed harder to trigger the start button but the smaller ones needs a "MACHINE BROKEN" STICKER but you know, gotta take the L because customer service don't answer our calls anyways. besides all that I still like this place. especially since its 24/7. read more

Was there two days ago on 1/1/22 to dry our clothes due to the heavy rain that day. Got there about 8am used the machine on the right to get a new laundromat card and used my credit/debit card that went through however no new laundromat card came out after at all. I called the number listed on the wall only to get a recording message so I called the security and they said they don't have any name or number to which we can contact. Today Monday 1/3/22 still trying to get in touch with Manoa laundry. poor service. Update: Yesterday 1/3/22 at 6:30pm. called Manoa laundry at 808-285-0979 and to my surprise someone answered and the person I talked to was Cassandra who was very helpful in resolving the problem I had on the first of January. I come here when I need to wash and dry large items or want my clothes shrunk down to regular size (line drying just stretches everything out.) I come all the way here from Kaimuki since this is the cleanest and cheapest place to do laundry, with easy parking. The Kapahulu laundromat has the same machines and card service but its so dirty and always crowded. I've never had to wait for more than 5 minutes to use a machine, if at all. There was one point when a lot of the mid sized washers were out of order but it wasn't much of an inconvenience. I like that this place is 24 hours and it is in a safe area with security patrols. I wouldn't feel scared coming here at night alone. Overall, the price, cleanliness, location, parking, and non-crowding keep my coming back. read more

Don't waste your time & money going to this location, especially on the weekends! No one is there to monitor clothes that are left unattended in the washers & dryers. More than half of the equipment is broken, or the dryers are not hot enough. And you can forget about getting a refund! However, it is close to my home and our washer has been broken for over two months now:( Proximity is the only reason I visit this location. The card loading machines (2) to load money onto the cards used to pay for the washers and dryers have minds of their own. They will tell you to "see the Attendant". This is laughable as there is no attendant. Consistently, I find a machine, put in my clothes and my detergent, THEN it tells me it's out of service. I have wasted detergent multiple times!!! I understand why there are so many terrible reviews of this establishment. I pray we can afford to fix our machine soon. I've been going to Manoa Laundry for a few months, but no longer. I've found a cleaner and cheaper Laundromat in Kapahulu and they have an attendant present during operating hours. I give Manoa Laundry 1 star for the following reasons: 1. Lots of machines, but every time I've gone, 4 to 5 washers and dryers were out of order. 2. No attendant on duty, therefore when problems arise, like machines not working and eats money, there is no way to get a quick refund. They say to write a note, but there is no quick resolution. 3. Prices keep going up. 4. Establishment had dirty water all over the floor. 5. Machines are old and eat coins. I've lost at least a dollar every visit. 6. There is no way to speak to a live person to report a problem. They have a number to call and leave a message but no one ever returns the call, no matter how many times you call and leave a message. Manoa Laundry will not get a penny more of my hard earned money because I will never go back there again. read more

Its actually sad. I've never used a laundromat since I moved here in Hawaii. And unfortunately, this review is mainly for ALL laundromats, not just Manoa Laundry. It is FU*KING insane to charge so much to wash and dry clothes. I was expecting $1 was $1 dry... maybe $2 each but was surprised to learn that not only at Manoa, but ALL laundromats on the islands charge 9+ quarters to wash one load of laundry. Thats $2.25 just to wash, AT LEAST. Then dryers charge 25 cents for 4 minutes which is a FU*KING rip off because 2 minutes is "cool down" period - WTF!! HOW is this the norm on the islands? HOW are people letting Laundromats get away with ripping you off...no, not ripping you off... RAPING you while you do laundry. The only "Positive" that I can be about this review is that Manoa was the cheapest I could find while my own Washer and Dryer are on the Sh*t list. It is disappointing to know I spent nearly $15 and 2 hours washing three loads of laundry and folding my underwear in public. #FML P.S. WHY do people refrain from listing prices of laundromats on their YELP reviews? This place is about twice the size of the Nu'uanu laundry mat. I went here on a Tuesday morning, so it was pretty empty. I think they have 25 dryers, 20 double load washers, and 4 triple loaders. Dryers: $0.25 for 5 minutes Double load washers: $2.50 Triple load washers: $4.00 Everyone was very friendly. The only down side was that all 3 of the change machines were broken and there was no one on staff. read more

With the help of other Yelpers, I headed out to Manoa Laundry, and was surprised to see how nice this place is considering most of the facilities in Honolulu are GHETTO. This is one of the cleanest and cheapest around town. The machines are well taken cared of and people who frequent here are quite helpful. The prices are very reasonable considering the community it is in. Other Laundromats are like $3 for a double load and here it's only $2.25; what a steal! I didn't even have to wait for a machine. This has always been my favorite laundromat in town. Like the other reviewer mentioned, the one next to Daiei (Don Quixote) isn't very ... appealing. Manoa's Laundromat is always clean, and there are tons of machines to accommodate customers. If you need to do some shopping or feel hungry, it's right in Manoa Shopping Center. Awesome! On the other hand, it has 1 major thing going against it. It's EXPENSIVE. They have upped their prices twice in the 3-4 years I've been going there. The first time it wasn't that bad, and coupled with the fact that it's a great laundromat, I continued to go there. This past week, unfortunately, was the second time. The dryers went from $0.25 for 5 minutes, to 4 minutes. =/ That's just a tad bit too expensive for my tastes. 4 minutes? And for those of you who have frequented the place or have heard of it... there are no longer dryers that give the 10 minutes. They fixed it when they dropped all the dryers to 4 minutes. Not bad price for washing machines : $9.10 (8x), $6.80 (6x), $4.40 (3x), $2.80 (2x). & $0.25 for 8 minutes for the dryer. Even though they have some machines down for service they do have a good amount anyways. Good location in Manoa. Pretty safe. Security guard roaming around the area in his golf cart. I have to give Manoa Laundry 1 star for the following reasons: I like the concept of Manoa Laundry because it is supposed to be convenient. They provide huge washers and dryers and have two machines that turn your dollars into quarters. They also sell little boxes of soap if you get desperate and they are right next to Bank of Hawaii and an ATM (if you need more money). Here is why I am frustrated with Manoa Laundry: Machines are consistently down or "out of order". Many times you don't even know that the machine is out of order until it has eaten your 12 quarters and you are left standing there, very irritated. Sure they can mail you your refund but THAT'S NOT THE POINT! Many times 1 of 2 quarter machines are out of order, which kind of ruins the whole point. Further, they have been raising the prices of their machines consistently, and in small increments so you don't notice (ie: the dryers use to be $0.25 for 5 minutes, now it's $0.25 for 4 minutes). To me, if you're going to be raising prices on the DL you should at least make sure your equipment is running smoothly and properly for customers, since there is no one in attendance ever. read more

Pros: Lots of washers available Cons: Parking-although there's parking right next to the laundromat and out the back door, it's all "Reserved". Which means you have to find parking in the shopping center parking lot then carry you baskets across the parking lot and through the HUGE lanai in front of all the shops and restaurants. Nice. Broken machines-The ONE super loader is out of order and from the looks of previous yelp reviews, it has been for some time. There were maintenance people there when I was washing clothes and they didn't even look at the super machine! No attendant-so when one of the machines inevitably eat your money, no one is there to help. I also had problems with the machines rejecting my quarters. Decent prices for wash and dry. $2.25 for double loaders $4.25 for triple loaders 25 cents for 5 mins dry for Huebsch machines only . The only complaint, no return coin push button, spent $5.00 on the comforter size machine and it didn't take any more coins. Maybe up the dry time to 7 mins a quarter we call the washing price even. No attendant but there is a sign that says if you need a refund leave a note, sorry due to theft there is no paper, oh and for security purposes leave your address and zip. read more
