Major attitude and extremely unprofessional. I was in the neighborhood yesterday to to pick up some food from the chicken wings place next door when I saw the ManShave Barber Lounge. I wanted to give them a try but didn't have the time to get the haircut and a shave at that time, so I went inside and inquired if they were open tomorrow (next day was a Sunday); and they said yes we are. I asked them what time do they open and do I need an appointment. They said that they open at 8am and that although appointment would be good but it is not necessary and that they take walk-ins. I went there this morning at 8:45am for a haircut and a shave. This how how the conversation went: the guy: we are closed Me: But I stopped-by yesterday and you said you open at 8am (it was the same person I spoke to previous day) The guy: Yes, I remember Me: So, its 8:45am. What time did you close? The guy: We were open at 8am, but now we are closed Now, how do you reason with someone like that? They don't seem to have any respect for others' time. I left for never to go back again. No wonder why they have so many negative reviews for their service. read more

Shop is cool but Rob is a bad Barber. 1st time there Rob gave me a halfway decent cut, but left my beard completely uneven. Awesome leaving the barber shop and having to fix what they did. That's not what I paid for. But my hair grows fast so I knew it would balance back out. I gave Rob a 2nd chance because he seemed cool to talk with as a Barber and that important too. 2nd cut was decent all around because I showed him a pic of what I expect. He redeemed himself. 3rd time is the charm... I scheduled an appointment because I had a new client appointment I wanted to be fresh for. I took a time when Rob told me he would be available and told him no problem as long as I make my 4pm appointment. To my surprise when I get to the shop Rob is not there. I call Rob and he says he is in traffic and will be there in 10-15min fine I still had 90min until my appointment. Well 45min later Rob still isn't there and didn't even have the decency to call and update me. You would think as a professional he would have some ability to communicate and be accountable for himself or his business. So sure get a cut here but don't expect Rob, the guy in the 1st chair to the left when you enter, to respect you. read more

My father and nephew frequent this place often being that it's so close to his house. So if was completely frustrating and disheartening to learn that in the middle of my nephews hair cut, two of the ONLY BARBERS HERE GET INTO A FULL BLOWN FIST FIGHT. My nephew is 11 years old and my dad is a 60 year old disabled man. Imagine the chaos and anxiousness experienced by my nephew, what kind of example are you setting for young black boys?! To not even have the decency to simmer down and act like adults in front of child is mind blowing. As you can imagine, they will most definitely NOT be back and it's sad because this area receives little to no attention and is easily looked over. Definitely the place to go when you're in need of a fresh cut. Make sure to book an appointment as Louie does get booked often. Every time I go to this barber lounge I feel welcomed and valued, I always come out looking fresh in a matter of decent time. He works well with kids too. Ever since Lou took over management this shop has really flipped and changed up for the good. Rest assured and don't mind the bad reviews because they definitely aren't true to date. I have been to this shop several times and the first time I had a great experience and then the next few times was horrible there's a barber name ED there and who cut my hair and he literally cut me on my face and on the top of my head I have pic too and when I called and told him he said I will give you a month of free haircuts the next and last time I went there he push my hair line back and the side of my line are two different sizes I also have pictures of that I will never go back there this shop sucks read more

The space is nice and well located, they give you drinks while you wait and there's tv's, so I guess that could be good for those who are interested. However, I was disappointed with my experience. My previous barber moved locations and I needed a barber last minute. I came across this shop on yelp and it looked good so I called to make an appointment and see how much cuts go for. I was able to make a same day appointment and I was told cuts went for 20/25 on the phone. I got to the shop and was seated immediately, but the barber took a good 5 minutes before he even addressed me. When then discussed my cut and he began, but about 5 minutes into him cutting he stopped to give some guys some drinks. Then he resumed and 10 min later he took a 5 minutes phone call. He took a hour and ten minutes to fade my sides with a line, which should only take 30/40 minutes, making me late for my work session. Once he was done, the cut looked well enough and I was in a hurry so I didn't have time to inspect it. He then walked me to the counter and insisted on scheduling an appointment for the following week, which I didn't mind because I thought the cut was good for the price. He then gave me the price of 35, which was 10 more than what I was told over the phone. I told him the price I was given and he made the correction but I felt he was trying to upsell me. I had hopes for this place but my first experience won't cause me to go back. And I wanted to write this view so people know what to expect if they want to try this spot. read more

WARNING! DO NOT GO HERE! 4/5 my ass! Been going to this shop for months now and for months they've been pushing me back and fucking up my hairline! I started by going to Cliff and he fucked up my left corner then after he kept coming in late (30 minutes to an hour) I was directed towards an older guy named Rob. Eventually Rob would show up late or not show up at all. The guy would cut my face and neck! Messed up my hairline and claimed I was losing hair. These guys do bad business. The barber kept taking breaks to talk to some one else. People have places to be and can't sit around with a hair cut half done. If the man has adhd then i wish I knew. Not the best barber either. Clean and professional environment. The layout is cool and extremely inviting, but the customer service needs work. Today I booked an appointment online with TJ. A friend of mine recommended him to me. It was for 4:30pm and I arrived at 4:25. For the entire haircut I think he maybe said 1 thing to me and that was how I wanted my hair. He stopped cutting my hair about 6 times to get water, change the station on the television, open the doors, and go upstairs to tell children to "stop bumping." Then to top it off, for about 15mins he was on the phone having a full conversation, and never bothered to ask details about how I wanted my hair cut. Overall the actual cut was ok. For a added cost he also touched up my beard and I do mean just touched up. Also he never mentioned anything about the 25% off offered on the website for new clients so if you're interested you should inquire. Nice atmosphere but under average customer service. read more

Kool little spot I happened up on let the barber Rob work on my son price was ok it's posted in front. it was my first time so I wanted to make sure of the pricing and if his skills but I was pleasantly surprised at both. He charged me 25 dollars apeice for both my boys ages 3&8 I was confused because he charged 15 the first time so I figured he added a self tip in the price. But I wasn't going to come back if it wasn't for TJ who explained to me the prices and I also got 20 dollars back. Over all I love the shop the vibe I will be back to see TJ. First i book appointment online. Although, site indicates a confirmation email will be sent, that never happen. I then called location to require about not receiving email to confirm. I was told by gentleman that answered, that they received the email, customer does not receive to confirm. Well how does the cystomer know their appointment has been accepted and scheduled? Then upon arriving 10 minutes before my appointment time that i booked, i wad told that not only was the barber that i scheduled Mr. T. Jacobs wasnt there, none of the barber's were there.
