You should know all rooms are on either the second or third floor, accessed by steps only, and…read morethere is no one there to help with your luggage. You reach the second floor via steep, narrow steps (about 30) with one hand rail. Assume third floor is similar. Not senior citizen friendly. And don't believe the description that says there is a chair lift. During our stay, my wife slipped on about the fifth step from the top and tumbled to the bottom. Fortunately she survived the fall, with some damage to her knee and bruising all over. Local rescue squad was prompt and professional. Ownership never reached out to us which is disappointing. We will find somewhere else to stay on our frequent visits to the Shore.

Where before a breakfast was included each morning of your stay, you now are offered 15% off you breakfast, but more on that later. The dining area is a fraction its former charm, but still charming. The dinner menu is pretty good and both of our dinners each night of our stay there were excellent. For this reason I have given two stars. It would be impossible to say the same about breakfast. In one location, an 8AM breakfast opening was listed. Our Welcome Letter stated 830AM was the opening time. Neither time mattered, because on both mornings the Breakfast service wasn't even open. The entry to it was locked up like an after hours NYC Subway entrance. Saturday morning no human being could be found. We even went back at 10AM to see if it had opened yet, with no change. Sunday morning it was locked up, but there a woman behind the bar to give our key to as we checked out. On both mornings we had breakfast elsewhere. We stay at the hotel for special occasions, and this stay was no exception. Staying at the Charlotte Hotel and not having to leave it was always something we appreciated and looked forward to during the previous dozen or so times we had stayed there before. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be coming back.

This is a beautiful inn. It is obviously well-loved and meticulously taken care of. Large parking…read morelot with a bout four electric vehicle chargers. Check in was easy and efficient and our room was in the adjoining house with a large great-room that was stunning available to everyone staying there with a fireplace, large kitchen, sitting area and dining table. I loved that their sign said to please vacate by 9pm bc our room was on the third floor directly across the hall from it and right beside the community half-bath servicing it and the room had no soundproofing at all. You could hear even minimal talking from that great room (and it doesn't have a door). That is my only complaint about this Inn. The provided breakfast daily was wonderful. The first day we had quiche and the second we had chocolate chip pancakes. All made fresh when you sit down and included sides, coffee, fruit, and yogurt. Really delicious and good quality and the staff were so nice. My husband is diabetic and they easily modified the options to meet his lower carb/sugar request. They also have daily evening tea with a sweet treat which is fun and coffee, tea, and lemon water are available all day and night. Our room was beautiful and looked exactly like the photos and the inn is so charming. Perfect landscaping, all common areas are so cute, and the location is to die for right on the beach, with access to the sand just steps from the lovely wrap-around porch. We were unlucky and it was basically a freezing Nor'easter the weekend we came, so we didn't get to enjoy the beach, the bikes, or any of the out door amenities - but we still found it charming and enjoyed both the Inn and the town. Hopefully, we can come back again in the fall and enjoy milder weather.

The ocean is the best part - you can't beat ocean front property and views. Their service is top-notch - welcoming, accommodating, and great attention to detail. I felt like I was in a 5 star hotel, but even better, it is an old charming, turn of the century, quaint home experience. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Amenities are great at no extra cost - I took advantage of their bikes and yoga mat! I love that they invite you to stay after check-out to continue to enjoy the property. And watching the sunrise over the water was the icing on the cake. Normally, their rates would be beyond my budget, but with the WinterEscape promotion of 20% off, it was very reasonable. I will definitely be back!

HBO was advertised, but many of the cable/ premium channels didn't work. The internet was also spotty. The TV in the room had Netflix on it so you could sign in, but the net kept cutting out literally ever 1 min 30 seconds. The floors are hardwood and were really dusty. walking barefoot i could feel every single grain on the floor. The bathroom/ sink area were cool. coffe machine on the sink. microwave and mini fridge in room. The beds were pretty hard to sleep on. Breakfast was highly undesireable. The man who was putting food out, placed biscuits out with his bare hands. Mind you, he was also the receptionist. The food area is really small with 1 tv. Coffee is available, water was not. OJ was in a jug. There was a waffle maker, some cereal, bagels and muffins to choose from. The butter was the squeezable kind (yikes) and we all shared the cream cheese out of the tub. The bagel/ toaster barely toasted anything. Check out is at 11. We were granted late check out at 1130. The receptionist came around at 11:15 asking if we were leaving.. smh. Of course, we were running late than 11 so we asked for the late check out. That was pretty annoying. Cleaning kitchen supplies were right behind the counter for the breakfast food, smh. The pool is out front of the lobby and looks a hot mess right now. Its January but the pool has black looking filled water in it and the chairs seem to be all thrown about. There was a McDonalds, Burger King, Food Lion, Gas Station nearby. I would rather stay in Salisbury next time for an upgraded hotel/motel stay for the night.

Decent clean rooms. Had fresh towels without asking. The TV wasn't so good. They didn't have cable…read more Just the Vizio channels and access to paid services.
