Lobby area - truly "a happy place".

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms were comfortable and very clean. Beds comfortable, sheets soft, decor was pleasing, and it's in a great location. Can walk to the beach - it's just right across the street. Innkeepers were so accommodating - we asked for a ground floor room for my mom and the room was perfect with it's own separate entrance. The room we had inside the house was upstairs from the beautiful lobby. Rooms had hair dryers and soap and shampoo and hooks for hanging towels/clothes - everything we needed. This inn is in a great location and we were at Assateague Island in minutes. Also shopped at nearby historic town of Berlin. Excellent restaurants near this inn. We plan on returning! Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I are a young couple, we like the nightlife of ocean city but not the cheap motels and hotels. We were looking for a romantic getaway and some fun! Well we found the perfect place to stay, and we are certain that this is the only place in OC that we would want to stay. Brian and Josephine are sweethearts and they also make a breakfast to die for! With that combo, we hit the jackpot at their bed and breakfast! To be honest- I want this to be our little secret.... About how good it is. (Selfish me) I agree with almost every review on here, you stay here- you won't regret it. We stayed in room #10, beautiful swing out front to relax in the morning or to people watch. The room was perfect for 2 people. We didn't use our car once during our trip because we were in walking distance or a bus ride from everything. We look forward to going back (: Fun fact: If you like cheap motels and hotels- this is not the place for you. If you like to eat horrible tasting food- this is not the place for you. If you are a decent, kind and classy person that likes quality service and amazing food- this IS just the place for you!

Just returned from our stay in room 7. We stayed in the same room about 5 years or so ago. The place has definitely had some cosmetic upgrades as a whole. Fresh paint, new furniture. Location is awesome right by the boardwalk but quieter than the places right on it. The bed was comfy the room and bathroom are small but for a night or 2 its sufficient. The breakfast was good. Nothing above and beyond but no complaints either. I do miss the evening snacks and treats the previous owners would have out. We loved how clean everything was and the new brighter decor. Hopefully we will be back soon!

This place is simply amazing! Just feet from all the action of the boardwalk yet quaint and homey. We're talking about the type of place where not one piece of furniture is alike and homemade baked goods are set out for you in the evening. Our room was nice and super clean. We stayed in Room 9, which is a smaller room on the third floor that shares a bathroom with another guest room. The shared bathroom was a bit of a concern originally but was never an issue during our actual stay. The bathrooms were clean and always accessible when needed. Never felt as if we were even sharing. The owners/Innkeepers Brian and Josephine are genuinely nice people who are incredibly friendly. We were graciously greeted for a late check in and were immediately treated like family. No, not like extra towels and mints on your pillow "family". I mean easy to talk to, relatable and truly concerned with making your stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. The breakfast was ridiculously tasty! The menu included fresh fruit, delicious assorted pastries, ham and cheese quiche, crispy bacon, savory sausage patties, five cheese egg bake (so good), coffee and fresh juices. Oh you like homemade waffles? Well how about blueberry waffles? Better yet, how about strawberry waffles in a beautiful sun room facing the boardwalk? Yeah, it's that kind of place. I selfishly would prefer to keep this place to myself because it really was such a great overall experience but if you're looking for a place to stay in Ocean City, look no further than the Atlantic House Bed & Breakfast. Great for couples, young and old alike!

The Atlantic House Bed & Breakfast is adorable! I stayed in number 10 and it was perfect. My flight from Arizona was an hour delayed and they we very kind about my late check in. They made us a delicious breakfast and were incredibly personable. I will definitely stay here if I ever visit the area again.

Atlantic House Bed and Breakfast was awesome. This is where I will always try to stay when I come to OC in the future with no kids. I'll take staying at a quaint B&B right across from the boardwalk/beach verses staying at an overpriced hotel any day! Breakfast was great and for as many guests as there were, we didn't hear a peep. Quite impressive! Atlantic House B&B has been around since 1929! Love the home feel and the owners are great!

Back then, there was a sense of care in everything--right down to the wonderful homemade breakfast. Unfortunately, since it was sold, the whole experience has gone downhill. There's no breakfast anymore, no personal touches, and honestly, no charm left. The check-in process was confusing--we had to go next door to another property, and no one was even there. I had to dig through my email to find a phone number just to get someone to help us. Our room felt neglected, with thin linens, a couple of cheap toiletries, and a generally shabby vibe. The kitchen, which used to be a lovely shared space, was now a mess that looked more like a storage closet. The front porch was littered with old cups and cigarette butts that were never cleaned up during our stay. The worst part? After we got home, I realized I'd been double charged. BEWARE racism, bigotry, homophobia, awkward, traumatic moments ahead if you book with Jan and Jim…read more My partner and I stayed here last Summer and made the mistake to think this would be a friendly b&b (we had known very few were we actually ever feel truly welcome) but thought to give it a chance during my sister's birthday weekend. Upon checking in, Jan eyed us up and down and did not know what to make of two feminine women who didn't seem to just be friends, let alone an inter-racial couple (she would later tell us how open she was and even wanted to someday buy a purple Polka dotted bus and park it outside her church just to show how "accepting" she was...yes, like you, we do not know what that means either). Please keep in mind, that the entire time we spent on this porch with her she refused to make eye contact with my partner, who is a woman of color (she would continue to lean on her racist, gross belief that the white woman in the relationship must be the one paying for everything). Fast forward to the morning, where we would get knocks on our door for breakfast, jolted out of bed by her telling us we must get up. We were worried what would occur if we didn't join the other guests for her breakfast. We joined everyone in the dining room, where Jan stood over each guest and would ask if you didn't finish your plate "if you did not like it? No appetite?" Awkward to say the least especially when this was not a relative who you had to politely deal with. During the breakfast, we would hear off conversations from Jan's sermon (yes you read that right) of wanting to be like the English, her pride of Daughters of the Revolution and how she wished her family had come over on the Mayflower to even talks of how amazing the 13 colonies were and how pure New England blood lines are and her love of being a devote White Anglo Saxon Christian. Meanwhile her husband, Jim stood behind her looking rather afraid and traumatized (victim we presume and he isn't allowed to leave the kitchen). She even gave the group a question and answer of how each couple met but with no surprise, stopped at us, smiled weirdly and then went to the next couple. At the end of the weekend, we checked out as early as we could and never looked back again. Do yourself a favor, and check out other spots in Berlin; this one is just not worth it.

Check in was easy and efficient and our room was in the adjoining house with a large great-room that was stunning available to everyone staying there with a fireplace, large kitchen, sitting area and dining table. I loved that their sign said to please vacate by 9pm bc our room was on the third floor directly across the hall from it and right beside the community half-bath servicing it and the room had no soundproofing at all. You could hear even minimal talking from that great room (and it doesn't have a door). That is my only complaint about this Inn. The provided breakfast daily was wonderful. The first day we had quiche and the second we had chocolate chip pancakes. All made fresh when you sit down and included sides, coffee, fruit, and yogurt. Really delicious and good quality and the staff were so nice. My husband is diabetic and they easily modified the options to meet his lower carb/sugar request. They also have daily evening tea with a sweet treat which is fun and coffee, tea, and lemon water are available all day and night. Our room was beautiful and looked exactly like the photos and the inn is so charming. Perfect landscaping, all common areas are so cute, and the location is to die for right on the beach, with access to the sand just steps from the lovely wrap-around porch. We were unlucky and it was basically a freezing Nor'easter the weekend we came, so we didn't get to enjoy the beach, the bikes, or any of the out door amenities - but we still found it charming and enjoyed both the Inn and the town. Hopefully, we can come back again in the fall and enjoy milder weather.

There is a small private lot to park in plus the street is free for parking next to the building. I do not know if that becomes an issue in peak season but at least it wasn't a worry for now. The common area is super nice. It feels like being home. There was white and red wine out and soft drinks in the common fridge as well. The room itself was surprisingly large and comfortable. Everything was in place for a great stay - ample towels in the bathroom, instructions for everything including where to place used glasses and so on. Waking up breakfast was being made for any guests that wanted it. Banana pancakes with bacon and some grapefruit. It was nice to smell those smells before coming down to experience it! The only frustrating part was the initial booking. Since the single night could not be reserved online I needed to call. I was never able to call and get a person immediately. Unfortunately, that's where the nice part ended and the OMG run for the hills began. I was immediately charged for parking, that wasn't mentioned when booking the room. Then the lot was full and we needed to park across the street and down the block. We unload our stuff get in the elevator and it stops working. We are stuck on the 3rd floor. We couldn't go any further. We needed to go back to the ground floor and into another elevator. We get of the elevator and the AC in the 8th floor hallway doesn't work, the high temperature really accentuates the intense stench of weed, it was over baring! The hallway carpets were stained everywhere, it looked like there were blood spilled and the carpet was bleached with Clorox. There are large white stains everywhere. When we get to our room and the key doesn't open the door, we need to navigate the one working elevator back to the front desk. we are told to "try lifting the handle up" some of the doors work that way. we go back to the room and realize the door handle was installed incorrectly and needs to be used in an upward fashion. Immediately walk into the room and the smell of weed is worse than in the hallway, didn't think that was possible, we were wrong. The beds were ok, the TV worked fine. The sliding door handle was broken, there were 3 outlets without screws keeping them attached to the wall. They would spark when used and pulling the plug out. The shower pressure was nonexistent due to the hard water blocking the shower head from working. The whirlpool tub was filled with stains from mold and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in yrs. We did our best to manage through the stay but left a day early. This hotel is far from "Paradise" I would avoid at all costs!
