We had the best dinner in a long time. Our waitress Bella was friendly and courteous. There's wonderful piano player that played lots of Elvis and Beatles ballads. Our food feast began from our first choice cocktails , chargrilled oysters with crabmeat , gumbo soup, Napa salad was absolutely delicious and entrees never disappointed. My husband is fanatic about duck dishes and he chose their duck with blackberry sauce. It was a hit for sure . My filet mignon was buttery soft and cooked to perfection. We decided to end our feast with their delicious bread pudding cooked the old fashioned style with a sauce that contained Grand Manier and Triple sec orange liqueur. I"ve eaten near a dozen times at Mansurs and have yet to review them - happy to say this dinner was as good as all the others in the past Monday evening started with a drink in the bar. Intimate bar area with high top and table seating and just enuff stools alongside the bar itself . After a round we went to the dining room where live piano was playing For entrees we shared the chargrilled oysters. For an appetizer I had the enormous BLT wedge! Back again and it did not disappoint! Called the day before to make a reservation and the only option left was a high-top in the bar area. We arrived early and the staff was kind enough to seat us in a booth instead which I really appreciated since I was bringing my 82-year-old dad. But know you do need a resv because it was packed! This time we had the chargrilled oysters and stuffed mushrooms, everything came out hot, fresh, and delicious. The steaks were great too. For the price, you really can't beat the quality. Absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. I sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by one of the bartenders, who was friendly, attentive, and patient as she walked me through the menu highlights. Despite the bar being busy, it never felt overcrowded or noisy the music and overall atmosphere were just right. I ordered a French 75, which was expertly crafted, along with the chargrilled oysters easily some of the best I've ever had. The real standout, though, was the cedar plank redfish. I enjoyed my solo lunch here. They are listed on Open Table but it appears their reservations are turned off. I end up calling to reserve via phone. Inside is nicely decorated with more of a fine dining atmosphere. I was seated in a lovely circular booth. The bar area is also nice with a few dining tables. My server, Max, was great! I started with the Brie and Crab soup and complementary bread. Both were good. I ordered a lavender mocktail. It was a little tart so I asked for some simple syrup to add. For my meal, I went with the Cedar Plank Redfish. It came on top of steamed broccoli. The fish was seasoned perfectly! Absolutely delicious! I would order this again! I ended with the bread pudding. Max went above and beyond to check to see if they had a corner piece before I ordered. I was in luck! The bread pudding had a nice flavor but it was a little too mushy. Overall, nice restaurant. Yes, yes and yes. started with charbroiled oysters - some with jalapeño and bacon, some with crab meat. Outstanding. Note - jalapeños had a bite, so if you are not a spice person, they are not for you. Fresh bread to soak up the leftover flavors. Also had the gumbo. Tasty, but wanted more protein in it. I hadn't been to Mansur's in quite a while, but back in the day it was one of my favorite places in town. So, when my mom invited me and some others to lunch, I jumped at the chance. The food, overall, was good. The complimentary bread was excellent, as were the chargrilled oysters, I had the duck, which I enjoyed. Boudin arancine was also well done. Crab & Brie soup alright, but not as food as I remembered. The only real "miss" was my wife's cedar plank redfish, which was so salty she couldn't eat it. The main reason for the poor less-than-stellar review, though, was the service/timing of dishes. We were there for lunch on. Saturday, and there were only 1 or 2 other tables there, but it took SO long between courses and I just couldn't understand it. PAINFULLY slow. Let me tell you, the chef needs to put that seasoned butter in a jar and sell it! Count me in for a case of it quarterly! Everything was so perfect from service to the placing of the food on the table. When I tell you they made the best Side Car that I have had in years! it was perfect! Then the main course! Shrimp and Grits. Well everyone knows Louisiana is where you get Shrimp and Grits but wow! It didn't have a lot of sauce/rue on it the grits were creamy. Went here on a date night and although the atmosphere is very romantic, we did find it not to our vibe. This is a personal opinion and not meant to sway anyone else's. They used real candles and I would feel like it's good for a romantic dinner for most couples. The food was pretty amazing. All of it. We ordered the shrimp and duck egg rolls and charbroiled oysters with bacon and cheese on top. The egg rolls were delicious and definitely tasted like an authentic egg roll despite it being in a southern restaurant and made with duck. The duck was tender and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. The oysters were some of the best I've ever had. Plenty of cheese and bacon, the mussels were melt in your mouth delicious and I'm honestly not a fan of oysters because they are easily overcooked and become rubbery. these were perfect. My only critique is to bring it with more bread so we can sop up the juices after. Mmmmmm just chefs kiss. I got the cream of Brie and crab soup. Very delicious, with small lumps of crab meat. I ordered the chicken piccata with a side of creamed spinach and my husband ordered the seafood crepes- I do not remember what it was called on the menu but essentially it was a shrimp dressing stuff crepes on a beurre blanc sauce on top with asparagus. It was Devine. The crepes were soft and delicious with the white sauce with the filling which tasted like a shrimp dressing sort of. The asparagus was a little undercooked to my liking as my husbands personal opinion. For dessert we got both the chantilly cheesecake and I wanted the bread pudding. The server could tell we couldn't decide and gave us the pudding for free as a "birthday present" which my birthday was on the last 2 weeks so valid. So the service was also amazing. Got a young guy with a mullet who was very attentive and sweet. The prices for the food and the atmosphere totally worth it. We spent around $220 and we got the LA sunset drink and the other popular one I can't remember the name. Anyways it was great. Highly recommend. read more

Hadn't been here in years but oh so happy I decided to visit today! Service was fast given how quickly the restaurant filled up. The crab cakes were amazing- well seasoned, full of authentic crab, and finished with a nice crunch just like I remember the last time I had them. The broccoli surprised me- melts in your mouth, nicely seasoned, and cooked. The red fish and corn grits came out on a wood plank which made the presentation a hit. Beautiful ambiance! What a fine dining experience my family and me had at this amazing restaurant while visiting Baton Rouge, this is one to be remembered. They went above and beyond to accommodate a party of 9. The service, food and ambience was 5 We were in town for the Nationals Bowling Championship so alcohol was involved with several of our party before we arrived for dinner. Although I did everything to keep the noise level at the table down as much as possible it wasn't easy lol. We had a lot of happy people and that makes for a lot of laughing and talking over each other. My point here is the server and her team was AMAZING she never complained about noise or lack of organization at the table They served everything just as ordered and did a fabulous job. My son paid so I don't have the receipt showing who our server and her team was but the owner needs to know that we were there May 18th from 5pm to 6:45pm at the long table just past check in on the right and They literally rocked!!!! Thank you all for making this a Baton Rouge memory we will be talking about for years to come!!!! PS: I completely forgot to take pics of the food with all the action and for that I apologize.
